You mean if police stop or flag down the vehicle the bolt driver should not stop and should drive off so that the police can label him an accomplice in a situation where by the police give them a hot chase and were eventually apprehended and rider is armed or possess anything illegal.. imagine a rider that you don't know or you have never met before oo...hmmmm we actually have a lot of children on nairaland oooo
he most probably looked rich. some bolt drivers work with Sars in Port Harcourt and I suspect that's what his driver did. those criminals don't just stop random cars unless they are flshy ones and in when they stop bolt car, the driver has already hinted them. e dey happen wella for here.

if you don't know something try n find out about it n learn instead of trying to act as if you know it all. Taye, I am way more older than you!
Re: 'How The FCID Kidnapped Me And Demanded N10 Million' by Slymonster(m):
I am just laughing reading this. This particular FCID has stopped me last year before the end sars saga. They are always on mufti and one on full police uniform,They stopped me after the toll gate. I didn't even know it was because of me they were clearing traffic at the toll gate till I pass through. Lol na benz I drive that day. They thought they have seen big fish. At first, I didn't want to open my phone but I had an appointment and knew they will delay me further.
What do I do, who has the car? You are from where, I mention delta. Next thing I heard, na them delta boys. SMH they didn't know it was the wrong person they met. .

First rule in life. Never let a police man see your bank sms stating your account balance. Even if you are clean. They will not stop at looking for a fault.
Another protest will start soon. This will not be funny. Seems we have no leader that takes responsibility.

Sir there is no logic in that, you could talk of random taxis but not bolt because driver doesn't know any information about the rider or know what he posseses..moreso a legit person will never tell a bolt driver not to stop whenever police flag down the vehicle it's only a criminal or criminal minded person that will fret at the sight of police think am naw

The poster was sitting at the back seat of the Bolt car. That is the quickest way they profile people by police.

My advice to young guys is to if possible sit with Bolt drivers in the front seat if you are journeying alone with the driver. It saves you and the driver from some harassment both from police officers, VIOs and miscreants.

Once you balance at the back as the car owner, you attract all kinds of attention.
I guess you missed this part below after reading the original post from beginning to end. That's how you people fail English comprehension exam. undecided

The same guy told me to get down and go to the back seat. I asked for what reason... then he grabbed my phone and told me to get into the back seat of the bolt, I said no way am I going in there. *Gun caulks* so I get into the back seat and.[/i]

You spoilt your statement with Nnamdi Kanu. Even people from South East also contributed tonthe decadence in the society and IPOB or ESN is a confirmation to that as their approach is also trashy. If Southe East stands on their own today, it will be worst than a zoo. Quote me anywhere.

Afte my close shave with these criminals in uniform, I took serious caution.

They picked me up along some others on our way home, they didn't log our detention, meaning that if we died in custody, it'd be as if we were never detained.
They search our phones, checked our bank apps and balances. took pictures of us as criminals etc, they deprived us any opportunity to speak with anyone else.

Guys, know this, you cannot beg, shout ,get angry or even reason with them, they are bunch of frustrated illiterate who are only after money, nothing you'd say would convince them the only thing that will save you is either you have connections or you have money to pay.

We were six arrested, one died in custody the next day, a wooden baton slammed into his chest a number of time during interrogation,he couldn't breathe well and was cold by morning. He was branded a criminal and a local pistol was placed by his side, his family will no idea where he is, his body would be deposited in the teaching hospital as cadavar, a decent young man returning from work just to earn a decent living killed by the police for no reason.

Since then ,I've learned to apply safety measures
1) No funny haircuts, tattoos or raggard dressing
2) No financial alerts or chats on my phone
3) All contacts on my phone are saved with decent names, no such thing as Kola the chairman ,Judas bullet or Peter eMoney on my phone.
4) Have a hidden folder to keep any bank app, or cyrpo wallet,
5) Hide your social media app as well including Twitter ,FB etc.
6) Move around with your ID card
7) Avoid late nights and excessive clubbing or in company of party freaks
cool Have contact of DPO, army friends and politicians /lawyers and connected pastors on your phone.
9) Get a location tracking app, with emergency button that's sends out your location and emergency text to family when activated.
10) If you end up in such situation, do not panick or get angry/ call their bluff, instead try negotiating a way to get your phone to call someone
11) if you have your way, try avoiding going to the station with them in the first place ,the little amount you have settle them first and go, it saves you the trauma, cause you'd really feel both angry , dehumanised and helpess

This same thing happened to me few weeks ago
They came for someone else in my compound the guy ran away they came into my apartment they said they heard info that the guy his a cultists and a ritualist they search all my apartment they didn’t find anything but because I’m using iPhone they took me away that night around 9pm with guns I have never experienced it in my life I was shocked because I on my generator they off my generator that night for them to do their nonsense operation they arrested me I slept overnight for the first time in my life for station without knowing my offense by FIB SQUAD the aop or Wetin them Dey call ham police in charge of me was handling my phone assive it’s his phone he red all my conversations including the private ones with my wife
My phone was with him throughout the night till the second morning he even threatened to kill me if I don’t find him 1.5million he said he will kill me and dump me and nobody will know that he normally kill for a living I was shocked
Without seeing anything implicating they saw it that I’m into buying and selling of cars I hustle around the street to look for used vehicle and find customers for it in short the collected all the money in my account
If you don’t have strong leg in this country person go just suffer there’s nothing like law anywhere in Nigeria police always believe they’re GOD

Hold the Bolt guy.
Some Uber drivers are snitch and they work in hands with police. After dropping you at your destination they go back to meet police and describe your house for them or they make sure they pass where he would me police

Story ... whether you sit at the back or front with the driver, it doesn’t make any difference... once you’re good looking or look suspicious to them, they will surely profile you, best thing is to just make sure you’re clean and go anywhere with your ID...

Most Bolt drivers are SARS/Police accomplices. Since when I came to realize that, I deleted their app from my phone and never use them again. I ride only Uber while I was in Nigeria.

Also, note that some Bolt drivers are accomplices to ritual killers and kidnappers too.

If you must ride, ride with Uber or better still drive yourself to everywhere.

PS: if you have means of leaving Naija, pls do.. using F1 student visa is the easiest way to getting visa to the USA. Admission is the easiest thing to get in any US school so long you meet up with all the criteria.
