I still call hypocrisy. If people were offended by what an adult had to say, then the best thing to do is to ignore it or to respond maturedly not by sending thugs to beat up someone.

If I sent thugs to beat up everyone that offended me, including the person who once assaulted me for nothing years ago, I won't have a good reputation, plus violence begats violence.

(And then as one of my teachers said to me , back when I was in secondary school...if you hit someone and he or she falls down hurt, people won't care about whether you were right , they will call you a evil person for that)
