This is somebody we were never used to hearing from; sometimes he could disappear for a year without saying pim even when Jihadists were slaughtering and trying to wipe out Christian Communities in the north.

All of a sudden Osinbajo has found his voice... always in the news.

Well sha, sentiments apart, Osinbajo is a better presidential material than Tinubu and Fayemi. The only southwesterner I could rate over him is Fashola. So I don’t mind him becoming president.

If in 2023, PDP presents Obi and APC presents Osinbajo, then it shall have been our best election circle because wherever the votes go, we will be having a good president.

Though Obi is better.

Just praise obi, and spreading lies, of all the vice president Nigeria have ever had, none is half as good or bold including GEJ!

Osibanjo is the most vocal, eloquent politician we have at the moment, there's no time he was quite for a whole month not to talk of a whole year.

But we all know he won't come close to being the president.

This is insightful

But u know agricultural products have byproducts that can be exported

Cocoa, cashew nuts, etc are in high demand

I dont think the world is flooded with food right now...the world is even faced with food shortage to feed the growing population

I understand the best to do at this hour is to encourage import substitutions initiatives, drive SMEs with affordable loans and also open the border with less charges....

The problem of agriculture produce is that when we start supplying the international market the price will drop due to glut. Check the prices of cocoa and other... agricultural produce should be majorly for local consumption.

Fine.

I guess now you have the information you sought, you will never accuse Obi of complicity in what happened to the bodies in Ezu River.

Meaning it will increase agricultural production their price will drop (inflation curbed) and that will make for money to be diversified into other ventures
It is stil a good venture to raise standard of living amongst Nigerians

U keep painting obi black for no reasonable reason later deduce it was out of tribalism

Sometimes i loose hope in this country..... can't we just drop tribal and religious sentiments once and for all and vote for a credible leader that can turn things around

I am not ibo but truth be told Obi stands out considering his vatse experience in managing finance and investment and precedents he left in anambra state

Thank you for being a pan Nigerian devoid of tribalism.

I’m Igbo but I hold people like Osinbajo, Fashola and Ambode in high esteem because I think they are men who have demonstrated capacity.

I only seem to be projecting Obi because if we are serious about the unity of this country then we should enthrone equity and fairness.

And if we are talking about equity and fairness, then 2023 is unquestionably the turn of the Southeast.

And Obi is one of the best out of the Southeast.

Your type is so easily deceived and manipulated.

Once you are before a smooth talker you fall for it.

I wouldn't want someone like you to recruit for my business because you will get carried away by those who shine in interviews but fail when given the job.

Osinbajo has been talking ONLY for 6yrs and you believe you know him well meanwhile like all smooth talkers he has been saying ALL you want to hear.

Nigerians are so gullible

Its one thing to advise/recommend. Its another thing for those you're advising to implement your recommendation due to politics, subjective view etc. I have played in this space in the past

Trial and error govt.

Is that not what we have been advising them since 2017?
Even people like Peter obi and moghalu said it countless times.

Allow the market to determine the value of the currency.

But buhari and his supporters decided to defend the naira with our scarce foreign reserves even to the point of madness.

When we complain, they say our mouth is smelling.

After they have almost destroyed the economy, they have now come around to doing what we suggested in the first place.

Mad people.

It's not so easy like that...the joy of the farmer is when prices goes up. But bad for the consumer...when prices goes down the farmer will farm less of that commodity the only thing that can be done is if government can guarantee price.

Garbage: follow Osinbajo's advice and we'll still be back here at the same spot in 2-3 years -- we've been doing this same "wash-rinse-repeat" for how many years now?

Nigeria is not your everyday conventional economy. This is a country where everyone from the President, to the CBN governor, the bankers, NNPC, you, me, are all about sabotaging the country and bleeding it to death.

The most likely Truth is that he is just realising it now and they are now looking for how to implement it.

The word Absolute is not the right word to use, moreover if there are no arbitrage opportunities Aboki(Official and Non Official BDC) would be out of the Forex market a long time ago, but Gov Emefiele is not just fighting Arbitrage Opportunities but Money Laundering and excessive dependent on imports. If investors don't want to bring their money into the country, it is not because of the exchange rate rather it is a matter of stability of the Naira or perhaps the Naira should be allow to float base on economic principles and not abacradabra... Why is it that the Naira always depreciate and never appreciate whenever a new government come into power because everyone of them want to spend not one of them want to think......I am always worried about Authority figures like Oga Bismark Rewane when they speak, because they tend to be believe, my own is that we should allow Gov Emefiele have his way, without interference , do you know business more than an Igbo man, today we celebrate Ben Benanke because he step on the plate when the United State was facing a crisis by offering funding to industries of which most of them are msme ,sme and the big firms... but today what we do is theoretical economic, we should find a way to juxtapose that with our reality, for God sake Gov Emefiele is well aware of the arbitrage opportunities and he is making effort to mitigate that, it is not an excuse to open the door for money launderers and arm purchasers and importers of Goods that could be substituted or derived locally . I comment my reserve.

Why didn’t Honorable Vice President Mr Osinbajo mention devaluing of the Naira in his presidential debate or campaign manifesto ? Mr honorable speaker Bismarck Rewane said we are practicing a fixed artificial currency exchange which does not reflect our economy but my question is please how did the dollar exchange to NAIRA move from 199 when this administration took power to over 570 and counting, if our currency is fixed and unreflecting ? If a strong economy equals strong currency then how is the currency the problem ? Does a weak currency make a strong economy ? People will naturally invest when there is ease of doing business, fix rate of currency exchange and affordable infrastructure which we have failed woefully. There is no economy in the world that has developed on constant devaluation of its currency. Devaluing the naira will only result to a very high rate of inflation and will rob the masses of their purchasing power, Mind you the minimum wage won’t change.
A result of devaluing the Naira will plunge the Nigerian masses to serious poverty and we will be in at the mercy of our heartless politicians because corruption is not devalued and forever flourishing. A loaf of bread currently at my area is 700 Naira you know the rest.

#DEVALUE CORRUPTION

Truth never dies.
