Not true, if you are a good person people will love you. Why didn't Igbos hate late president Yar'adua? Its only Igbo people who really practice one Nigeria, the rest only shout one Nigeria when they intend to steal other people's resources. If they did not support "One NIGERIA" during the uncivil war of 1967-1970, there would not have been any Federal Republic of Nigeria today. And General Muhammadu Buhari would not have been the military Head of State in 1983 and twice democratically elected President of Nigeria today.

During the EndSARs protests in October 2020, I saw a video of crowds of people on the major road to Abuja from Lokoja yelling in Hausa, "We don't want!" in denouncement of his administraton whilst he was passing by in a convoy with heavily armed military escort.
He would not have been able to walk by without a military escort through their midst.
Today, majority of Nigerians are in political dilemma and trauma, because of the widespread insecurity in the country.
In September 2018, on the invitation of the Office of the President, I went to Abuja by road and returned to Lagos by road safely without any fear of being attacked and kidnapped by bandits and gunmen. But now, I am even afraid to travel to Benin by road, since things have fallen apart, we are no longer at peace, because of the trouble with Nigeria and as the great literary icon, Chinua Achebe said, "There Was a Country".
In days of Awo, Aminu Kano and Azikiwe, there was love, peace and unity until the politically naive young military officers led by Lieutenant Colonel Chukwuma 'Kaduna' Nzeogwu truncated the nation building of modern Nigeria in the first military coup d'ètat of January 15, 1966, which overthrew the First Nigerian Republic. And since then, Nigerians have never known a decade of peace without violence.
