other states should sit up, especially lazy states who were enjoying measly allocations! am more surprised at oil States which should have restructured from Nigeria system a long time ago! they could have protested on it and not let the north call the shots but look today, no oil rich state for naija reach Lagos (which is not a oil state) revenue at all

Where is the lie please. When Obj seized the state allocation, Tinubu who was the governor then with his team, Osinbajo as the AG of Lagos came up with fantastic ideas that yielded what Lagos is today...if same thing is done to other states, the feeding spoon approach by the FG won't happen.

it's very easy for southwest states to be sovereign economically if we think out of the box, the southeast would have outsmart everyone with their industrial sense if they give value to their ancestral land

Asia continent, America, Europe and Lagos and other part in southwest they rush to wouldn't have been like that if their citizens rush out.

as Yoruba hardly forget their homes an migrate, we should take advantage of that to build southwest to formidable economic hub

That’s why I always laugh when people say Lagos is this and that and that Tinubu did not do anything in Lagos.

In 1999, Lagos yearly IGR was 14.6bn and by the time he left in 2007 the IGR was 83bn which is like 468% increase. This made sure Lagos leave her counterpart states behind. Even Fashola wasn’t able to generate that % increase when he governed Lagos from 2007-2015.

Also, Lagos capital spending in 1999 was just 3.3bn yearly, by the Time Asiwaju left in 2007 the capital spending was 78.4bn which is over 2275% increase. All that due to economical prowess and foresight of the Tinubu’s government.

What has the federal government done with the trillions of naira accrued from Oil revenue and other sources for the past few years.
Let them control their resources and do whatever they want with their lives.
This will stop the Governors and the citizen of these states from blaming the federal government for their woes and under-development.

Ekiti is currently blessed with a governor that knows its onions. I see that state in the path of prosperity in no time, going by the moves of their governor. Osun is currently cursed with one of the most useless and dumb-skull governors. The idiot just found the affairs of the poor state falling on his laps at freewill, he never thought of it, let alone prepare for governance. He's a product of "baba so pe", meaning that he's a product of Godfatherism

Debt is normal if you are seeing the result in terms of economic progression.

America is the most indebted country in the world and yet you see the progress.

If Lagos had got much debt with a relatively low IGR/GDP/Capital spending then we can say their debt amassment is wrong and useless.

Check monthly remittance of Lagos state to Federal govt pls, then compare it with what they get back from FAAC.
