Esseite:Him Tu Lai is a liar, he did not save anything, at lease not according to Anambra state government and Obiano, he lied. When he left, he awarded overN100 billion worth of contracts that he did not pay for, that's debt. He's a crook, he's unpatriotic, a common thief stealing from Nigerians including you and me, Why didn't he keep his money in Nigeria to better our economy, to create jobs for his own people right there in Anambra? No, the greedy bastard parked the money abroad for oyinbo people to develop their country with. Penny wise and pound foolish. |

NGpatriot:Honestly you dont have facts... - Its public news his handover letter evidenced his debt free state, if there was a 100bn debt, would that state be the lowest on debt threshold today? - how you say a man that was on the board of three Nigerian banks, a major businessman, a shareholder is a brewery did not better your economy calls for serious checks to your thinking.. Well, it's not me your are doing.. please endeavour to watch the interview. |

Esseite:All you are doing is talking, no facts. - Its public news his handover letter evidenced his debt free state, if there was a 100bn debt, would that state be the lowest on debt threshold today?Showing us state ban account would have surf iced, instead of his baseless lies. Show you say a man that was on the board of three Nigerian banks, a major businessman, a shareholder is a brewery did not better your economy calls for serious checks to your thinking..Of what relevance is this? Does it mean he did not stash his money abroad and evaded taxes like a common crook. Well, it's not me your are doing.. please endeavour to watch the interview.Interview means he did not evade taxes and sent his money abroad instead of creating jobs for his people? |

Esseite:Personally, I am not a fan of people who keep their money in offshore accounts...regardless of party, tribe or race. Obi kept his money in offshore accounts. And may have evaded taxes in doing so. Same for many other Nigerians and foreigners who do the same At the end of the day, guess who bears the resulting tax burden...the poor and the middle class |

htdot:Thank you. Note that I did not abuse you, so why should you abuse me. . the price of oil is current 84$ per barrel more than obj erra.1.Things weren't better under Obasanjo. 2.Our forex needs have grown since Obasanjo was in power. (As an example, in 2004, not everyone had a cell phone, now more people do. And most of them are imported...meaning rising forex needs to import them). 3.Also, there is something called the breakeven price..the price at which we earn enough from oil to run a balanced budget . Nigeria's breakeven price right now is $133 per barell. Oil prices are around $80. That's why I don't feel happy with APC....they haven't done much to get us away from our reliance on oil. 4.Finally, we have had fluctuations in the oil price...including times where it has been very very low.Meanwhile, our forex needs continue to rise. Naturally we have to take loans...and when oil goes as low as $29 (see last year)...we ended up taking even more loans...which have to be paid back and which eat a lot of our forex. 5.Subsides on petrol and power also eat more of the money, and their cost rises with the rising cost of production of these things All these mean we don't earn enough forex. Of course, it does not mean Buhari is a good leader. These problems were all there when he came around and he promised to diversify the economy and raise revenue from taxes to help fix things. Both he has not done well enough. |

NGpatriot:Responding to you is tiring... - A single Nigerian bank employes an average of 10,000 people.. he was on the board of Three making decisions that kept that number working. - His private business employs atleast over 500 staff. - Next shopping malls employs over 2000 staff. - The brewery employes over 1million directly and indirectly..

NGpatriot:Now it's no longer about employees and your alleged 100bn..okay, let's keep shifting goal post.. This is a man that pays minimum of 50m yearly on tax, but let's leave that for now.. He was living and working in the UK, he owned organizations in the UK.. why is the UK not complaining about avoiding tax? would you watch your hard earned legal earnings fritter away due to bad policies you cant control like majority of us are suffering now, despite having the means to saveguard that in a legal manner? |
