A Tinubu presidency will amount to sending the nation backward. The candidate that can make the difference is Sen Bukola Saraki

Tinubu is not perfect but when it comes to quality leadership and track record of administrative success, he’s way ahead of Saraki, Atiku, Peter Obi and Tambuwal joined together.

Seun with the resources at Tinubu's disposal as Governor, which is the only yardstick he can be judged on. He was a disappointment! Fashola was miles better than he could ever achieve. At least we can say he handpicked Fashola and so he gets some credit for that.I understand the bar is so Low but don't hype rubbish!

Just some of Abubakar Bukola Saraki's Achievments:

In 2015, the Senate President promised to pass comprehensive electoral reform laws before the election season starts. This promise was actualized in April 2017.

In August, 2015, Senate mandated Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC to immediately abolish fixed charges on electricity consumption, and bulk marketing of villages and communities.

Compulsory Treatment and Care of Victims of Gunshots, Bill 2016

In July 2017, the Senate passed the #NotTooYoungToRunBill during its Constitution Review exercise.

In November, 2015, Senate detected the fraudulent activities involved in the implementation of TSA and resolutions to bring such act to a halt saving Nigeria N25billion from the implementation of the TSA policy.

Whatever development you see in Lagos today, the pioneer was Tinubu. He's the trail Blazer of Lagos development.

One of his legacy is lagbus(BRT) [s]

Fashola’s immediate success in Lagos was a direct benefit of the Tinubu’s administration. Tinubu fought Obasanjo for 8 years so he had limited resources and an hostile FG to deal with. He was the one that put in place the structure that led to an astronomical boom in the internal revenue generation of Lagos and the self sufficiency that followed.

When Fashola came in, the benefit of the IGR improvement strategy was starting to bear fruit and Yar’adua also released billions of Lagos LG council funds withheld by Obasanjo. So, Fashola was able to take off on a very good ground and he also had the latitude to take massive loans based on the new improved revenue of the state. Fashola achieved success because he followed the master plan that Tinubu developed and handed over to him.

While you are entitled to your own opinion, it is obvious some of you are paid sycophants with the insane things you say.

Do you know Saraki's antecedent as Governor? Someone who is only able to tear things down? Kwara has been taken backwards horribly by the Saraki family and Bukola himself is perhaps most famous for fraudulently destroying societe generale Bank.

That clueless and empty crook , plus a thoroughly failed Governor, is who you want to lead Nigeria in place of BAT whose achievement I don't need to repeat to any honest and upright Nigerian able to admit the truth objectively?

I can only say 'na wa' for some of you.

I wonder OOO. Hate of Tinubu means some Nigerians will even support the Devil to be President just to frustrate and deny BAT his ambition.

It was the same common enmity and opposition many backward, unproductive and unprogressive Nigerians had for an Awolowo Presidency.

Last last who suffered for Awolowo not becoming President if not ordinary Nigerians who continue, till today, to lack steady electricity many of the worlds nations have had for many decades now?

Sorry but when are you people going to ever talk as if it is the Nigeria and Nigerian leaders we all know under discusssion and not Mars and Martian leaders?

Nigerian leaders are either competent or incompetent. They are either transformational or regressive. They are either progressively impactful or not.

In Tinubu's case, setting aside unobjective hate for the man if you are capable of doing such, will you say yes or no to the above per Tinubu's time as Governor?

Now use the same set or parameters to judge all others who want to be President like Saraki, Tambuwal, Kwankwaso, Atiku, Kalu, Fayemi, Obi etal.

These things, for objective and dispassionately 'woke' folks, are not Rocket science issues abeg.

They are simple considerations even a kid can discern if that kid is the sort that can shun sentiments to focus on facts, reality and well-documented history backed with pertinent statistics and sucess stories.

With Tinubu, we are facing the whole Awolowo conundrum again where the entire universe was aware of the stunning achivement of Awolowo that should mean the sage alone ticked all the boxes to be President. Yet enemies of progress, agents of backwards, lovers of suffering for the masses and bigots still managed to give us Shagari.

They are at it again touting those who ruined States and institutions, like Saraki, and those who are completely mediocre leaders, like Tambuwal and Kwanwaso, as better choices to Tinubu.

A real shame and an indicator progressive change is always slow to settle into the thinking of many Nigerians aheads of tribal sentiments and sectional emotions.

Has God answered your own prayers for you to be asking him to deny others? Also, "heaven help those who help themselves".

In so far as you have an unobjective and clearly prejudiced mind then I doubt God will even be present when you pray let alone anwer any of your prayers.

Judge and find Tinubu wanting on what matters and what leaders are judged on in progressive nations and spare us your sentimental crap.

You all see Lagos continuing to impress, to be virtually the best thing about Nigeria today. Whereas other States, led by failed leaders people like you will tout as better than BAT, are dead and buried today with their human and material resources destroyed and plundered like Kwara etal.

Still you lot will be telling us those failures deserve to be President while foaming at the mouth, with curses, that Tinubu should be locked in a cell 200 feet below ground level. What is wrong with you people?

Coherent argument, using statistics and parameters that matter, plus real and quantifiable achievements of leaders, you all cannot ever make.

Instead it is always subjective and biased talk we get from your kind. This is exactly what I was saying in another thread. I.e human resources make great nations.

Nigeria lacks decent human resources in my opinion talk less of the great human resources nations like Germany, UK, Sweden, France, Japan, USA etal possess.

This is what the report says:

2023 Presidency: North Divided over Tinubu’s Candidacy
As speculations continue to increase over the possible declaration of the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for the 2023 presidency. the north seems divided over his chance of taking over from Buhari in 2023.

It should be noted that a pro-Tinubu group known as South West Agenda (SWAGA2023) has been engaging in intensive activities to mobilize support for the ex-Governor of Lagos State.

According to the analysis of politico.ng, there are five blocks in the north with different opinions on who should become the President in 2023.

THE FIRST BLOCK
This is the group that believe that power should go to the South East in 2023. These groups are few, but their thinking is that this should happen for the sake of peace, security, and fairplay. But the major challenge is the ability to get the right person that will be sellable to the entire Nigerian population.

THE SECOND BLOCK
These groups of people are the ones rooting for the former President, Goodluck Jonathan. They are backing the ex-President because he did the transition peacefully in 2025 and did not challenge the election in court. They believe that since he left the presidency in 2015, he has been working hand in hand with President Mohammadu Buhari. They think that allowing him to continue his second term will benefit the north.

But the opposition to this idea is that the former President created the problem himself because after completing Umar Muss Yaradua’s tenure, he shouldn’t have contested. It will be recalled that Jonathan contested in the 2011 general elections and later won. From there, the issue of rotation has been in disarray and the consequence is what we are getting now. So, the opposition to this idea believes that the major architect of this confusion cannot be a beneficiary of the same system.

THE THIRD BLOCK

This is the group rooting for the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo. This group believes that Osinbajo is loyal and has never shown disloyalty, even in the face of differences in ideologies. They believe that he has remained resolute without losing focus. They believe that he will surely continue the policies of President Buhari and sustain his legacies. They believe that another person may discontinue Buhari’s policies.

Those who oppose the idea claim that as number two citizen, he presided over an unimaginable wanton killing of Christians. They believe that the learned lawyer is a pretender, thinking that his true self will come out if he gets power. They are of the opinion that his supposed loyalty is to obtain tickets. Also, one of his major offences that the north will not forget was the sudden sack of the former Director General of DSS, Lawal Daura. They are thus afraid that he may turn out to be a rash and stubborn person.

THE FOURTH BLOCK

This is the group that believes that power should remain in the north. This group believes that the south has become anti-north, and they believe that the north should continue to rule until things have become normalized. This group is of the opinion that thorny issues such as open grazing, Value Added Tax (VAT), and restructuring should be sorted out, believing that if this is not done, the likelihood of Nigeria breaking up is high. They believe that no candidate in the south for now can hold the center strong.

THE FIFTH BLOCK

This is the group rooting for the candidacy of Tinubu. They believe that the north should reciprocate what the former Lagos State Governor has done by standing behind their son, Buhari, in two election campaigns. They are citing his critical roles in ensuring the success of Buhari in the two elections in 2025 and 2019. They said that the efforts of Tinubu should not be repaid with bad results. This group believes that he has the credentials and capabilities to pool Nigeria out of the woods. They like him for his talent hunting in recruiting outstanding people into government positions who have performed well in their roles. This group is of the thought that the ruling party APC should not be seen like the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), known for its use and dump syndrome that led to their downfall. They said the ruling party should not go down this path.

According to our analysis, one of these groups will prevail. Whichever group prevails, we hope it is for the betterment of Nigeria.
