Gotze1:
I am sure if this guy was the one in the affair of the state when Dangote first chose ondo for that investment in lekki now. The refinery would be in ondo by now. That is where mimiko goofed.

Akeredolu has been governor for the best part of 6 years why hasn't he found the next Dangote investors. Tinubu and Fashola were able to attract investors to build the Dangote refinery, Lekki Deep Sea Port, Eko Atlantic and Lekki FTZ but all these governors in the SW are doing nothing but sound bite.

Nigeria imports between $1-2 billion of bitumen every year, yet has the six largest bitumen deposits in the World is in Ondo State!

Fig. 1: Top 10 Countries with Bitumen and Extra-Heavy Oil Reserves. Nigeria ranks #6 globally in heavy oil and bitumen reserves,
with an estimated 38 billion barrels of oil in place. While this remains a significant quantity of oil, it is substantially less thanCanada and Venezuela, which hold the number one and two spots, respectively.

Our Governors will be chasing shadows up and down. More investors will come if you develop and build up your towns and cities. Build more standard roads, provide steady electricity, provide maximum security for the people of state and their property, construction of metropolitan railway transportation system, investing in waterways transportation system, construction of world class housing units for the people and government buildings. Invest massively in science and technology. All these are the ingredients that will drive more investors to a state even without calling them.

Wooing, wooing, wooing investors, still no investors coming to the most populous black nation on earth. They will rather take their money to China despite the tension between China and the West. This shows that money goes to where it can get value for itself, and it doesn't matter where that is. Which value will foreign investors benefit for coming to Africa? Foreign investments are not like UNDP world projects, these are private individuals looking for where to triple their earnings and get a good life for themselves while doing so. To lure foreign investors to move from first-world countries to third world will take a decent amount of cushion to cover the risks for them. Nigeria keeps failing in the most critical aspect of attracting foreign investments, which is to develop indigenous companies that will attract these foreign partners.

But these people called leaders only go for leisure tour in overseas countries and they call it economic summit.

Ondo state proximity to South south ,made Dangote to change his mind..... because of those militants.......dem no go let Dangote rest...with kidnapping his workers......

Lagos still remain the best state to invest.....no wonder investors are trooping in , left and right
