We all have that one evil lecturer who calls for classes at weekends and ruin your plans.

That’s right. I had to call Felix and tell him that I’ll come very late. Nora left early.

“I can’t believe he’s calling for an immediate class….is he mad!!?” Erica yelled

“No….he must be stupid….aahhh I’m so tired I want to rest!” I whine

“I don’t like this!”

“Erica what do you think….if we drive ourselves to school?”

“I don’t know…dad won’t like that”

“Don’t worry….he won’t even know….I’ll tell the guys not to tell him” I said

“They’re loyal dogs to father….” she said

“Which ever way, I’m driving myself to school….you can go with them if you like” I said to Erica but she grab my hand

“No way! I’m going with you!” She said. It wasn’t easy to persuade the guards but I did end up winning.

Erica choose to drive to school and I agreed to drive back.

It was fun.

 

 

 

After the class. I was packing my stuffs when our project supervisor walked in and announced to us that our scores has been released.

We all rushed to the notice board to view our scores.

“Wow….I’m on 1 class!!!” Erica said

“Me too….I guess all our team made it to first class” Rye was excited

“But…..why can’t I find my name” I said confusingly.

“True….Amanda Name is not here….!” Rye said.

We looked down…even to third class and those that failed my name didn’t appear.

“I don’t understand…” I whispered

 

I went to the lectures office and frown when he saw me.

“Can I help you young lady?” He asked

“Yes….well….I’m a student offering your course”

“Go straight to the point as you can see I’m busy” he said

“Ok….well…I can’t find my name on the board. My team name appeared and all were in first class but I can’t find mine” I said

“Well if you can’t find yours that means you didn’t perform in the project….”

“What?!! No way I was even the…..”

“Young lady…..if that’s the case go bring the person who signed your project. I didn’t find your project here….so you didn’t take my project…”

“But…”

“Leave….I’ve already told you what I want to” He said barely shouting.

 

I walk out with a sad face.

“What happened? What did he say?” Erica asked

“He said I never partake in the project and if I want to get my scores I should bring the person who signed our project….Xavier” I said

“What?…..” Rye yelled “I’ll go talk to him….or let’s all go talk to him”

 

We all walked inside.

“Sir…she partake…..”

“Who told you to come in? I gave her a chance to go find the person she claimed to sign her project….if I hear another word from any of you I’ll record her scores empty and she’ll have to sit for another year to write the course” he yelled

“Let’s just go…” I said

 

We all sat at a restaurant.

“What do we do now?” Rye asked “I haven’t been able to contact Xavier ever since our project was over”

“It’s okay Rye.. I’ll fix this….Erica let’s go….” I said.

 

We got in the car and I was driving.

“How will you fix this?” Erica asked

“I don’t know. I can’t go back to Xavier no mater what! I know this is all a set up….”

“So you’d rather fail?!!! Amanda!!!”

“Erica it’s okay…..”

“Let’s ask dad for help….dad can fix this….I’m calling dad…” Erica picked up Her phone.

“No don’t!!!!” I yelled and drag her phone

“Give it back!!!!” Erica yelled

“Erica I’m driving…..” I said and put the phone away but Erica kept dragging with me until I lose control and the car smashed another car parked beside the road!.

 

 

 

 

We sat on the chair as dad was yelling and scolding us.

“How did you two take a car and drove yourselves to school!!!!! Didn’t I make it clear that you shouldn’t drive!!!!! Do you two even have a driver license?!!!! And the worse of all you got into an accident thankfully you were not hurt!!!! What if something happened to you?!!!!!”

“Dad it was Amanda’s fault!!!!!” Erica yelled

“Don’t blame anyone here!!!!” Dad yelled back at Erica

“Why?!!! Because you love her more than me?!!! You’re yelling at me and not her!!!! Ever since she have being in this house I felt so inferior!!! What I’m I!!!!!” Erica yelled and ran upstairs.

“Erica!!!!…..Erica!!!…..” both parents ran after her.

I hold myself I stood up and went to my room.

I lock myself in and lye on my bed. I sigh “don’t cry Amanda…..you were expecting this from the very start….” my phone ring! Without looking I just picked the call and place it on my ears “Hello?!!….”

“Hello Amanda….it’s Xavier…..”

“Go to hell….” I said slowly and ended the call and switch my phone off. “This is worse than I can imagine”

 

The next morning I just lock myself inside my room. I really don’t want to see anyone.

Nora knocked on my door “Anda….open up!!! You didn’t show up yesterday why?!! We waited for you at Mr Whites”……”Amanda are you in there?”

“Yeah Nora…” I opened the door and she came in.

“Holy shit Amanda you look like a zombie!” She said and I locked the door

“Yeah….I couldn’t sleep much last night….so how was it?” I asked

“Are you okay? Did something happened while I was away?” She asked

“Am fine….so how was Mr White place…..”

“Well it was fun….we actually waited for you but you didn’t come….Oh and Lucas was there too…..Anda when will you two be back together? I know he came there because of you….but the thing is…..he brought a girl named Mariam. Everything wasn’t so clear and…..”

“Nora…..just imagine this. You have many old but fancy toys which you love. You love them so much and you’ll never let go of them. Then suddenly you see a new toy….and for you to get that new toy you have to let go of your old ones….will you do it?”

“No way!!! I’ll just stick with my old toys I mean I still love them” she answered

“Good…..now you get home but you can’t forget about that new toy. You kept thinking about it even thought you don’t like this that much you just want it to be yours….that fact that you’ll see it with someone else but not you makes you angry…..but you still can’t let go of your old toys…”

“That’s greediness….”She said

I smiled “so let’s say mom bought you the toy on her way back home. You were so happy and you didn’t want your old toys to get jealous so you hid the new toy. Now your old toys didn’t know you have a new toy but your new toy knows very well of your old toys…..how do you think you new toy will feel?”

“Sad….I guess…..and will not trust me because I hid it from my other toys” she said. She was so smart.

“Good….now….this new toy of yours has special abilities….it made you happy….you didn’t know if you love it or not….but this toy loved you with all its heart….”

“Amanda…you’re crying…..” Nora said

“I’m fine….” I wipe my face “so as I was saying….even knowing it can’t trust you…this toy gave you its greatest treasure…..but….you….to you it was all you bet you made with your old toys to get your new toy greatest treasure…..”

“That’s cruel!!….”

“The toy was hurt….really hurt….the toy wanted to teach him a lesson so he’ll never in his life try to hurt something that choose to trust him ever again….”

“You and Lucas…” she said. I told you she was smart.

“Yes….” I answered

“So you’re not going to date him anymore?!! Ahah you two look good together…..”

“I miss him….” I said

“He misses you more….I’m sure…” Nora said

“No matter how happy I am I still feel empty without him. I just can’t let go…..Even if he doesn’t come back to me…..I’ll know I fixed him and he’ll be happy…”.

Nora do love Amanda but too bad she’s now Lucas alley. Unknown to Amanda that Nora was on a phone call with Lucas while she was saying all these so Lucas heard everything she said.

“Do you now believe he loves you?” Nora asked

“I know he loves me but he’s not sure himself…..now with the way things are, I think he doesn’t care anymore. It’s just I’m so unlucky….my bad luck have returned. I need to start going to church….” I said and Nora laughed

“Yeah you should. When last did you pray?”

“Only God knows” I said and we both burst into laughter

“Oh…..I should be on my way now or I’ll be late for school” Nora said and ran off immediately she left I went to lock my door.

 

I brought out my text book and began to study.

 

Erica has come back to her senses and so did her parents. She felt so bad for what she said last night. How will she face Amanda now…..

“We all left her and ran after you last night….she must be hurt” Nelson said.

The maid came back “Sir….her room is locked and she said she’s not hungry”

“We haven’t eaten anything except from yesterday’s breakfast…..she should be hungry….or she’s just mad…..” Erica said

“I’ll go talk to her….” Nelson stood up and walk upstairs

 

With a headset on my head I played Hillsong music and it help calm me down and focus on reading. The volume was low so I heard when there was a knock on my door.

“I already told you I’m not hungry…please I’m trying to study here” I said

“Amanda it’s me…..can you open the door? Let’s talk?” He asked

“I’m studying…..please…..you’re distracting me” I said and went back to my book.

 

Nelson came downstairs

“She refused to come?” Merit ask

“She even refused to open the door for me” Nelson said

Erica ran upstairs.

 

A bang on my door

“Amanda….Anda I’m sorry for what I said yesterday……I wasn’t myself…..please open the door” Erica said

I was fed up. I stood up from my bed and get dressed as fast as possible.

I grab my bag and my school stuffs in it. I walk towards the door and open the door.

Erica was still there.

“Anda….I……”

“Erica…..please……I just don’t want to hear anything….” I said and walk downstairs I felt her following me.

I came downstairs and met Nelson and Merit

“I’m going to the school library to read….I’m getting to much distraction here” I said

“Let me go get dressed and go with you….” Erica said

“Please….I don’t want to cause bad influence to you…..you should go your way and I’ll go mine” I said. Her eye immediately went teary.

“Amanda……when you come back let’s all sit down as one family and talk about this…” Nelson said

“You all should act nice now or feel guilty about last night……I’m already used to being abandoned…..it’s nothing new….” I said

“Let the driver take you……”

“And I wish to do what I like and what I want! You can make discussions for your beloved daughter there but this girl, me?, I belong to myself…..and Erica I was not trying to share your parent with you they are all yours…..”

“AMANDA!!!!” Nelson yelled “last night I came home to see that you two had an accident….what do you expect me to do? Be happy?!!!” He yelled

“No……I never asked if that……thank you! And like I said I can take care of myself!” I said

“I can’t let you take care of yourself as far I’m alive. I’m your father!”

“Then earn it!!!! Don’t just say it! Prove it and earn it!!!” I said and walk out of the house.

Lucas was still in daze after he hear what Amanda said. His chest felt so heavy. He finally burst into tears and smashed the table with his punch, hurting himself.

“You fool!!!!” He cursed himself.

Jo was outside his office when he heard the sound. He rushed back in and saw Lucas crying. He was resting on the wall with on hand covering his face and the other holding his waist.

“Lucas……..”

“I love Amanda…..I love her so much!!!!” Was What he kept saying as he finally sat on the floor and place his hands on his head.

“You fool….now you know what you feel for her…..”Jo said.

Everything was back to square one. I tried hard to avoid my parents so that Erica won’t have the wrong idea anymore. I still avoid her.

We were at the dining table.

“Nora how’s the food? I prepared your favorite today” Merit said

“Yes mom it’s yummy…..oh Amanda look!!!” She showed me her ID card. “My surname is now Nelson…..even is school and everywhere….”

“That’s good Nora…” I replied

“Why don’t we go do ours today?” Nelson said

“I don’t want to….”

“Amanda!!!…..” Erica yelled “I’m sick and tired of this behavior of yours okay. We messed up and we apologized……you’re part of the family too….why won’t you bare dads surname?!”

I dropped my spoon on the table. This Erica is getting on my nerves “seriously Erica what do you want from me?!!!!” I yelled “Say one more rubbish and I swear I’ll smash this food on your face!” I roared.

“Amanda….”Nora whispered. She knew this side and Amanda. It was scary and she does anything she says she’ll do.

“I said you’re our family that’s not rubbish and….” I picked the food and was about to throw t at her but Nora was fast to move my food away.

“Both of you stop!!!!!” Nelson yelled

“No….I’ll just leave. I don’t want her getting the wrong idea that I’m taking her parents away from her!” I said and was about to wake away but Nelson grab my hands and drag me back to my sit.

“Calm down both of you!!!!!……Erica I’m disappointed in you, and as for you Amanda I’m disappointed in you too. You’re the elders child in this house…..” he sigh and look at Merit. “My drugs go get them….” he said with a low voice. Merit rush upstairs and brought his drugs.

 

We all sat in silence.

“Amanda as your parents we messed up that night. Erica you should know that we love all of you equally…..”

“I know dad I didn’t know what got into me that night….I’m sorry…..help me tell Amanda to forgive me please…..the fact that she’s still mad at me makes me mad even more”

“Amanda…you’ve heard your sister….now listen……you’re my flesh and my blood. Though things didn’t work at well in the past. But now you’re here with me….”

“I let go of the past dad but you guys are making me feel like I made the wrong choice”

“You let go of the past but you’re still living the same life. Look around you Amanda…..you have a wealthy father who can get you anything you could ever dream of…..from today you won’t have to refuse anything from me” he said “this month end we all are going on a family trip…..it’s a must and from today Erica…you and Amanda will share the same room until you get use to each other. You can get in each other skin, even kill each other…..until you learn how to live with each other” he said “come on honey let’s go….baby come on”

I glared at Erica and she lowered her face.

“You’re scared of me?” I asked and burst into laughter

“I’m really sorry Amanda…..” she said

“Worse have happened to me…..you better be the one to move to my room. I hate that pink room of yours” I said.

The news was released……that I was the minister daughter. When I got to school all eyes were on me. Me and Erica walked towards our class.

“So they are sisters? They don’t look alike…..” blah blah.

We got to class and took our sit. I saw Rye walked in. I stood up and rush to him.

“Hi Rye….I wanted to collect Xavier’s number from you….” I said

“Yes sure…..” Rye gave me the number

“Thank you”

 

After class I tried to call him but it wasn’t reachable.

“Amanda are you sure we shouldn’t tell dad?” Erica asked

“No…..I have a plan. I want to make things clear with him”

“Who?”

“Xavier!”

Lucas wasn’t pleased with what he heard his father saying.

“Honey….they just broke up I’m very sure they’ll be back together…..” Mrs Harrison said

“Back together? We had a deal! If they break up Lucas will have to marry Mariam or Sasha…” Mr Harrison said.

“Father! I’m sick and tired of you telling me what to do! This is my life. I won’t sit back and watch you ruin it just as grandfather did!” Lucas yelled and his father slapped him.

“Honey!!!!!” Mrs Harrison yelled

“Then get out of this family! Everything you have is owned by my father and me! You dare not talk trash anymore!”

“I should’ve left a long time ago!” Lucas said and went inside his room. He took some few clothes took his MasterCard, he took some other items and walk out of his room.

He saw his mother waiting for him outside.

“Lucas….please….”

“Mom….don’t worry I’m 26 now….I can take care of myself” Lucas said

“Your father, he….he blocked your cards and he’s serious about what he said….where will you go? Here take my card…you can stay at my house in……”

“Mom…..don’t worry…..trust me” Lucas said

“I do….I’ll speak with your father…don’t worry….I’ll say one or two to him. Okay….?”

“Okay mom….I’ll keep in touch with you….” Lucas said and got into his car.

“I love you mom….” Lucas said and zoom off.

 

Lucas called Felix and told him what happened. He didn’t want to stay in an hotel so he asked if he can come stay with Felix and Felix agreed.

Lucas drove into Felix compound and park his car. He took his lodge and walked towards the door. He ring the door bell.

Felix opened the door in no time and collected the bag from Lucas.

“Welcome bro…..”

“Thanks for letting me come here….”

“No problem……”

“Lucas!!…..” Nora said and ran to hug him. “What are you doing here?”

Lucas was taken aback he looked at Felix

“She’s here?…..”

“Yes….they are spending the weekend here….” Felix said

“Why didn’t you tell me?!!…”

“It’s a good opportunity for you two to make up. It’s Friday night….you still have Saturday and Sunday…..and…..”

“Dinner is rea……..” I saw Lucas and I was shocked…the glass I was holding fell off my hands and smashed on the floor.

Lucas rushed towards Amanda and left her away from the glass.

“I’m sorry if I frightened you” Lucas said “are you okay?” He hold my hand and began to observe it.

“I’m fine…” I snap back and move my hands away. “Dinner is ready….I’ll clean the mess up….” I said

“No let me do it you might hurt yourself….” Lucas said

“It’s okay I’ll handle it…..” one of Mr White maid said.

 

Lucas looked at the food in front of him and smiled. He had always known she wasn’t a good cook.

He took a spoon full into his mouth and couldn’t help but smile again at the horrible taste of the food. But he couldn’t stop himself from still eating it. He missed everything about her.

Felix put the food in his mouth and immediately spat it out!!!!!

“Amanda!!! What is this?!!” He yelled

“I told you I can’t cook but you kept forcing me…so it’s food! Go on and eat!” I said.

Felix look at Lucas….he was eating the food with a smile on his face. “Lucas…what are you doing?”

“What? The food taste just fine” he said

“Be serious okay?…..this is poison” Felix said

Mr White just walked in and took his sit

“Wow….I’m starving….” he said and took a spoon full into his mouth and immediately is face squeezed as he spat it on the floor!

“Right? Right?!!! This is horrible!!!! Or Lucas maybe your side is sweet let me taste it!” Felix said

“Who the hell made this food?!!!!” Mr White yelled

 

We end up ordering dinner online.

I was cleaning the dining room when Lucas joined me.

“Hi….” he said

“Hi..” I replied

I took the plates to the dish and began to wash them.

“I missed you….a lot…..” he said from behind….I wanted to say something but he said “don’t say anything…..just hear me out. You were right all these while. Now I’ve come to know my true feelings for you. I love you and I can’t see my future without you…..I swear to you. You know me and understand me more than anyone…..you know my biggest secret, you my future…..because you’re my future. I love you…..”

I turned around and we was walking upstairs. I just stare at his back till he disappeared

The next morning I woke up late. I quickly brush my tooth and take a quick shower. I rush out.
“Nora....? Nora?..... Felix....?” Ni one answered me. “Did they go somewhere without me?” I murmured.
“Hi.....” I heard from behind. I turned and saw Lucas. He was only on singlets and a pair of boxers, he was sweating really hard. His muscular body drew my attention..... “Amanda.... I said are you hungry?” I snap back to reality.
“You....you said?.....”
“I asked if you’re hungry....I was waiting for you to wake up so we can eat together....”
“Oh....where is Nora and Felix?” I asked
“They went to the beach. They didn’t want to disturb you so I wait behind so I can bring you....” he said “sorry about the sweat I was just exercising....I’ll just take a quick shower then we can eat together.....wait for me....just 10 minutes....” he said and rush inside.
“Why is he wearing so light?!!! Ahhhh I got goosebumps.......” I whispered and walk down to the dining table. I took my phone and saw many missed calls from dad mom and Erica.
I quickly called Erica “what’s up? I saw your missed call”
“Yeah dad wanted to hear from you this morning.....Dadit’s Amanda....” Erica yelled
“Hello Amanda....”
“Good morning dad....sorry I missed your calls”
“It’s fine. How was your night?.....”
“It was fine....”
“Hmm......you’ll be home tomorrow right?”
“Yes....”
“Good....someone would be meeting you and Erica....so be home before 6 okay?”
“Yes sir....”
“Bye love”
“Byebye dad....”
“Amanda.....come home before 6”
“Why? Is something wrong?” I asked
“I have a bad feeling about this.....” she said
“Ok...I’ll be home by 2 that’s good?”
“Great....bye have fun....”
“Sorry I kept you waiting.....” Lucas rushed and took a sit. “I prepared something for you....you use to like my cooking”
He served me the food and took a sit opposite me.
“Why are you behaving like this?” I asked
“Like how?” He looked at me with his eyes showing nothing but innocence.
“You know....different....you’re not the Lucas I used to know....you approach me with Hi....and... it’s not like you” I said and he smiled
“I want to take things slow with you.....I want to start something new with you....” he said
“I......”
“Amanda....the food is getting cold....” Lucas wouldn’t let her say any word because he’s afraid she’ll decline.
“I just want to say you should be yourself....even if you have to change..you don’t have to change who you real are. You never know....” I said
“I’ll be good for you.....that’s what I want....just you....I’d lose everything if I have to.. just to get you to be mine again.....” he said. We lock gaze. I just looked at him, I didn’t want to look away.
Suddenly my phone rang I looked and it was an unidentified number.
“Hello....?”
“Seniorita.....good to hear from you again....”
“Who are you?” I asked and Lucas looked at me and frown
“Oh sorry I didn’t introduce myself....it’s me... De Marco....”
“De......” I quickly shut my mouth but Lucas was the smart one he grab my phone from my ears
“What do you want?!!!!!!” Lucas roared
“Lucas....what do you think I want...I heard you broke up with her....I’m here for a shot”
“Shut up De Marco! I swear if I see you close to her I’ll.....”
“What?!!! Kill me?.....”
“Don’t ever call her again EVER!!!” Lucas yelled and ended the call. I saw anger on his face but he turned his back at me. I could see his hefty shoulders moving up and down like he’s trying to calm down.
He final turn to me and handed the phone over to me.
“I’m sorry.....I’ll make sure he doesn’t call you ever again.....” he said
“Why are you so angry about it?”
“Because......he likes you.....” Lucas said and I saw him crush his fist together
“Oh.....”
“Amanda you have to be careful.....De Marco he’s not a good person.....makesure you tell me if you tries to get in touch with you again....”
“Why should I tell you?” I asked. I was doing it on purpose
“Because....He knows you’re my only weakness......he will try to use you to torment me....” he said
“Oh.....I’m full....thanks for the food” I said
“Promise me Amanda that you’ll tell me whenever he tries to get in touch with you....please....at least you’ll call or text me. I promise I won’t disturb you if I have you number again....I just want to make sure you’re safe” he said.
“Ok......” I gave him my number and we drove to the beach.
He was on a pair of boxers and a T-shirt fully penetrating and exposing his broad chest. He dare wear something like to so other girls would see? Fine then....I started to take off my clothes too.
“What....what are you doing?” He asked

“Oh if that’s the case then I’m going to the restroom.....the LADY’S RESTROOM.....” I said and he cleared his throat
“Oh what a coincidence I want to use the restroom too....” he said and walk ahead.
I stayed at the restroom for some time.
“Oh did you see that handsome dude standing outside?”
“Yes yes.....damn I’d die to have a night with him....”
“I’ve slept with him once....”

“Yes that’s Lucas Harrison and he’s the best sex partner I’ve ever had....aahhh it’s been a year I can’t seem to forget that night”

I heard the girls conversation.
“Let’s go....I’ll introduce you to him....”
I followed them behind and hide on the door. Lucas was waiting for me outside the restroom was he out of his mind?
The girl walked to him and they began to talk. It was taking longer than expected. Soon I saw her touched Lucas shoulders but Lucas face sour and push her hands away with a roar “don’t ever touch me with your filthy hands!!! Get lost!!”
I walked out and Lucas rush after me.
“You should go have fun with those girl....looks like you’ve even slept with one of them in the past....”
“Am sorry......”
“Why are you apologizing?....”
“Uhmm.... excuse me...” I heard from behind. I turned to see a familiar face but I don’t know where I know him.
“Jack.....” he said with a smile
“Jack?.... Nora’s cousin?...”
“That’s me...” he smiled.
“Oh My God hi.....!!!!!” I said and hugged him.
“What’s up.....you look.....” He eyes me from head to toe and took his bottom lip into his mouth. “God Amanda you’re making me hard...” Jack was know for his stupid words I rolled my eyes and Lucas crack his throat. His burning gaze send shiver to Jack immediately Jack’s eyes came in contact with his. But Jack was not the kind of guy to back off.
“Anda want to dance?” He asked
“Yeah sure....” I answered and Jack smirk at Lucas while I looked at Lucas and saw his burning gaze. Jack hold my hands and we walk away but suddenly I felt someone grab my hands from behind.
“I’m sorry Amanda but I can’t hold you...” Lucas said and gave Jack a punch on his face. Jack fell down but immediately stood up and returned the punch o Lucas. Lucas only staggered back a little but didn’t fall down. Jack spared Lucas.
I felt a hand on my shoulders pull me back. I look back and it was Felix....
“Felix stop them!!!!” I yelled
“You caused it why should I be the one to stop it....?” He asked smiling
“Please.....Jack is gonna Kill Lucas!!!!” I yelled

I turn around and saw Lucas punching Jack. I was shocked...Jack turned him over but somehow Lucas still got the upper hand and started Punching Jacks face.

I rushed to Jack.... “Jack I’m so sorry....I.....”
“Get lost!” He said and stood up but he fall down almost immediately. His friends came and carried him away.
I drove home with Felix who wouldn’t stop laughing
“What’s so funny?!!!” I yelled in anger

When I got home Erica drag me into our room.

“I’m running away?!!!! No I’m just trying to fix you…..you’re too blind to see it!!!”

“Fix me!!!!! You’ve fixed me already…..can’t you see?!!! I even choose my family over you….”

“What?!!!!”

“Yes Amanda…..I won’t marry any girl except you…..”

“What if I say no……”

“Then I’ll just chase after you forever if that’s what you want……!!” He said. I walk close to him, drew his height down to mine and kissed him. Lucas was baffled his mouth were slightly opened and she slide her tongue into his mouth. He didn’t know how to react. Should he kiss her back or just let her kiss him. He didn’t want to make any mistake he just stood still.

 

He wasn’t moving or holding me or even reacting to my kiss. I knew he was surprised. I stopped kissing him and his face was so funny I couldn’t help but laugh.

“You…..you just kissed me?” Was the only words he can say

“Yeah……”

“Does that mean you’re forgiven me and we can come back together?” He asked

“Well the kiss means one thing. So you choose….what do you think it means….” I asked and his lips moved but nothing came out of his mouth…… “I love you…..” I said and he blushed he was so cute.

“So…..”

“Yes…..I forgive……”

“We’re back together……?” He asked immediately

“We’ll you haven’t asked me yet to be your girlfriend again…..” I smiled

He blinked his tears away and swallowed hard.

“Amanda…..will you be my girlfriend?” He asked

I was silent and lowered my head. Her silence was killing him. “No….” I said and he was shocked

“Yes…..you dummy!!!!!” I laughed. Immediately he pulled me into a tight hug.

“Finally……I’m so happy Mandy…..I love you so much. I promise I won’t ever leave you….I swear I won’t…….you’re mine now and forever…..”

 

We hold hands and walk the street. My feet hurts but I didn’t want to stop walking I was enjoying it. Then I tripped and almost fell down but his hands pulled me back.

“Are you okay?” He asked as he saw her sour face.

“Yes I’m fine…..” I said. Lucas looked at her feet.

“Your feet….!! Why didn’t you tell me……wait here….” he said and ran off. Soon he return with an old news paper. “Let’s sit over there…” he suddenly pulled me up.

“I can walk…..”

“Shut up your feet hurts…..” he ordered. He sat me down on the old chair he had cover with newspapers. He kneel in front of me.

“You’re not going to ask me to marry you? Are you? Cause I’ll say no!” I joked and he laughed hard.

“You can’t joke in this situation…..” he took my legs and pulled my shoes off.

“I can do this myself…..” I said

“Just sit down will you?…..”

“You’re just doing this because we just get back together…..let me just enjoy it while it last…..”

“I’ll treat you like a queen for the rest of my life” he said

“Awwww you’re so sweet!” I said and he smiled. “Does it hurt?”

“Yes so much….” I pouted.

“I couldn’t find any place to buy you an easy wear…..my car is just at the corner…..”

“No…..I don’t want to go home yet…..let’s go to the lake…..”

“I………Mandy I’ve placed that house for sale. The buyer will be signing the contract tomorrow…..”

“No way!!!! Why would you do that! I loved that place……!!!!” I yelled and Lucas was surprised

“But you said you don’t like it anymore and that it’s your place of regret……” Lucas said

“You believe that?!!!! Aaaarrrggghhh……I won’t speak to you anymore…..” I said and walk away from him barefoot.

“Mandy the floor is dirty….” he rush after me and hold my hands “I said the contract will be signed tomorrow so…..it has not been signed yet…..that means I can still bridge the contract…..” he said and I smiled.

“I’d love that…..let’s go there tomorrow can we?” I asked and he nodded.

Lucas has already sold the house to get the house back he has to pay extra of what the buyer once paid.

“You can’t walk barefooted” he said and went on one kneel. “Get on my back…..”

“Aaahhh best date ever!!!” I yelled and jump on him.

She was as light as ever but instead he said “you’re so heavy…..”

“What!!!! No I’m not!”

“You’re getting fat too….”

“No I’m not….stop teasing me!!!”

We were at a private beach only essential people I think can get in.

It was fun. I was on a video call with Lucas.

“Let me see what you’re wearing…..” he said and I moved the camera back so he can see me. “Amanda!!!! What are you wearing?!!”

“Bikini…..” I smiled “what do you think? Sexy right?”

“No it’s so ugly go back inside and cover your body….”

“Nope! I’m about to take my bra off so I can apply sun cream” I said

I dialed Lucas number, after it rang twice he picked the call.

“Lucas….” I called still deciding whether to tell him or not.

“That’s it I’m coming over there!” He said and ended the call. He didn’t even want to know what happened the fact that I said I was scared and I was crying made him crazy and wants to kill whoever is making her feel that way.

I rolled on my bed all through the night.

“Anda it’s okay….I promise everything will be fine. Dad won’t allow it…..mom told me that De Marco have lye threats on dad if he doesn’t agree……”

“De Marco is not a good person….what if he hurts dad…..I don’t want anyone to get hurt because of me…..” I said

“No one is getting hurt. If someone should get hurt it’ll be De Marco because you’re the daughter of a minister and a girlfriend to Lucas Harrison……”

Erica and I talked all through the night.

 

Nora Who was Lucas ally has already sent text to Lucas about a man called De Marco who wanted to marry Amanda.

Lucas was already on his way but when he saw the message he was about to kill someone. He went back home to get his gun but remembered it was at Felix house.

He drove down there. Felix saw his mood and knew something was up. He didn’t asked but immediately Lucas drove off felix took his car and followed behind.

“WHAT!!!!! MON……MONSTER!!!!!!!! Hahaha Hahaha……..you called me a monster! I’m your savior and you owe me your life and everything you owe!!!!”

“Fine then take everything and get the hell out of my life!!!!!!” Nelson yelled.

“And what if I say no?……we had a deal and it was written and recorded! And I’ll get what I want…..I always do!!!!…….” as he says this he moved towards Nelson and grab his tie….Nelson choked as Marco drag his tie and tighten it.

“GET YOUR FILTHY HANDS OFF HIM!!” De Marco flinched as he heard Lucas voice he immediately let go of Nelson.

“Lucas……” Marco called as Lucas pointed a gun at him

“Why are you scared?” Lucas asked

“Scared?……tsk tsk over my dead body will I ever fear you Lucas….. you can’t kill me…..you don’t have the guts to pull the trigger!” De Marco said boldly

“I thought you know me but…..too bad you don’t…..” Lucas said.

“Lucas no!!!!!!” Felix yelled as he ran towards Lucas.

Lucas released the shot but Felix pushed him, making him lose target and the bullet landed on De Marcos knee.

Felix grab the gun from Lucas hand while De Marco whine in pains on the floor.

 

 

 

De Marco was rushed to the hospital.

Nelson Lucas and Felix were still in the room.

“Lucas what were you thinking? If you had killed him what do you think would happen?” Felix yelled

“Lucas thank you for what you did but you went too far….” Nelson added

“I don’t care if I kill him…..”

“Fine……let’s say you kill him and you went to jail for it, what about your family…..what about Amanda…..?” Felix asked. Immediately Lucas thought of it. His face fall flat

Suddenly the four ladies rush in.

“We heard there was a gunshot from here….”

Mom said.

“ I called them over….” mr Nelson saved the day.

Four months later it was my graduation day. I can’t believe I was graduating and the funniest thing is that it’s same day as my birthday.

As we drove towards the party I turned my phone on. There were so many messages from Lucas. He kept apologizing and promised to make it up to me.

“I guess you work is more important than me….!” I replied. Immediately he viewed the message and called me. I bounced his call and block his number from calling me.

He typed back. “I’m sorry…..you know you’re the most important thing in my life……I just couldn’t make it….I can’t make any excuses I know you’re mad at me…..”

I didn’t reply him. I put my phone aside. I can’t believe he’s not here after all the promises he made. He should have told me before he won’t be able to make it Why now? I already had my hopes up.

 

I still felt like it was a prank until the party was over and we were home did I know that Lucas seriously didn’t show up. He didn’t even send me a happy birthday or graduation message…..

 

The next day Erica has a date with Jeremy she left home early. Dad left for a presidential meeting! Nora went for her home lessons. I had to follow mom to her jewelry shop.

I was tempted to turn my phone on but I forced myself nothing. I’ll kill Lucas for this I swear!

I even should up on his birthday while we where not dating now we’re dating he couldn’t even show up in mine!

“Have you heard from Lucas?” Mom asked

“No….”

“Why didn’t he call you?”

“I don’t know. I switch off my phone” I said

“Why?…..you must be mad at him” mom smiled “when you’ll see him you won’t be able to be mad at him anymore….”

“We’ll see……” mom smiled and left. “Oh…..can you watch the shop for me today. Just in case the workers needs me…..I have to go home to rest….”

“Alright mom!” She left.

I sat at her comfy chair. “Everyone is busy today and it’s all because of Lucas!!!!!! LUCAS!!!!” I yelled. I just wanted to put all the blame on him even though he wasn’t guilty or the reason why I’m here!

 

 

 

I felt someone tapping my shoulders. I opened my eyes “Lucas……?”

“Ma’am it’s time to close the shop” the male voice said and I rub my eyes. I notice I have fallen asleep and I was still at mom’s shop.

“Oh…….yes……thank you I’ll get my things” I said and he left. I picked my phone and turn it on. Behold there was no message from Lucas.

“This boy!!!!! You want to play hard while you’re the victim? Ok…..let’s do it!!!!” I said.

 

Mom’s driver was already waiting for me outside. He opened the door for me and I hope it.

Lucas was online but he still wasn’t chatting me. He even updated his status ‘A beautiful day’. I got vexed!

“You must be having fun in England while I’m here arrrghhh……” I look at the driver he was a young guy. “Stop the car!” I said

“But Ma’am I was instructed to bring you straight home……”

 

I sat at the front sit and began to take selfie with him. He was cooperative.

I uploaded the picture online with ‘Beautiful day indeed’

He was the first to view my status and I smiled waiting for him to nag and act jealous but he didn’t say anything……

“What?!!! He won’t say anything?” I yelled. “Tsk!!!! This is not fair!”

 

 

I go home and slam the door. I walk inside.

Inside the house was dark. “What’s going on?” I frown. I walk to the switch and tried to on the light, instead there were crystal lights on the floor. It was in a straight line. I wonder what was going on. I walked on the light until it became rose petals.

“Dad?…..mom?……what’s going on?……. Erica?……” I brought my phone and turn on the flashlight. Immediately I did…..all the light turn on. I close my eyes because of the brightness.

Then I opened my eyes and saw Lucas walking towards me. He was on plain suit but he look extremely handsome.

Immediately he got close to me I wanted to yell at him but then he went on one knee and said “Amanda Nelson Will You Marry Me?”…………..

He cleared his throat as he asked for the second time “Amanda Nelson will you marry me?”

“YES!!!!!!! YES I WILL!!!!! Now put the ring on me fast!!!!” I yelled. Lucas giggled as others bursted into laughter. The cold ring slide into my fingers and I immediately raise my hand and admire it. The ring wasn’t fancy at all it was plan but the silver still sparkles and I love it. I hugged Lucas.

“I love you so much Amanda” he said and tightened the hug. Then it occurred to me.

“I’m so sorry Lucas I was tired! I did want to go on a date with you so badly but then…..then I said let me sleep for just 5minutes and bam!!!! It’s already morning……see…..see…..I tried calling you……but……”

“It’s okay we won’t go on a date anymore…….I was free yesterday and I felt bad that ever since we were dating I haven’t taken you out much…..you’re still young and yet engaged but too bad……you were being sleeping beauty……”

“Can’t we go today?”

“No…..I’m busy……” he said and I felt sad

“Oh…..ok……” I tried to hide my sad face and smiled. But he kept looking at me.

“Why is your face so awkward?” He asked

“No it’s not……you should go to work…..” I said

“Ahhh speaking of work……I now own two companies in Paris……”

“Yes it is……I should get going…..” he said and I poured my face.

He suddenly moved close to me and captured my lips. He bent down, his lips against my cheek, brushing it lightly—and still that light touch sent shivers through my nerves, shivers that made my whole body tremble. “If you want me to stop, tell me now,” he whispered. After what takes like forever Nora answered with a lazy voice “elow!!!……………w..”

“Nora I thought you were my ally how can you not tell me Amanda is not home?!!”

“It’s me Lucas…..Lucas…..!!!!!”

I couldn’t sleep so I ordered pizza online…..my door bell and I rushed towards the door.

“That was early” I said to myself. I opened the door and saw ………LUCAS!!!!!! He looks exhausted and angry.

“LUCAS………!!!!!” I was shocked…. He force his way in and immediately he yelled

“What’s wrong Amanda? What’s all this?!!!! Last night you called me and told me not to worry, tell me if it were you would you be less worried? And now I have to find out you don’t leave with your parents anymore……..”

“I’m sorry Lucas…..how did you find me?”

“If that what’s important now? My head is about to explode right now because of you!” He said and I was quiet “you can say you’re sorry you’re sorry……”

“I didn’t want to tell you yet because I wanted it to be a surprise…..”

“Yes I’m quite surprised ain’t I?” He asked

“I’m sorry……”

“Just…….just get me water to drink first….” he said and walk his way to the living room to get a sit.

I got him a glass of water and he finished everything in one go. He was sweating heavily.

“Are you okay?” I asked

“I should be asking you that….” he said. I reached and touch his head. He was burning up.

“You’re sick Lucas……”

“I feel fine….now……” he swallowed hard. “Aaahhh my head hurts…” he murmured and rested on the chair.

“Lucas let’s go to my bed okay…..” I said seeing he was dozing off on the chair. Just now he was yelling and taking charge but look how sick he is.

 

He lye on the bed. I took off his jacket and his shoes.

“Aaahhh I’m so cold” he whispered. He’s such a baby when he’s sick.

I wipe his body and his weak eyes kept looking at me.

“What? You should rest” I said

“I want you…..” he said weakly but his deep voice was heavy.

“WHAT?” I played dumb

He raise himself up. “Mandy this……I want this…..I want you so bad…….I know you want me too…..I’m sincere now….I swear I’m asking for your permission if you don’t want then I can still wait till…..”

“Just rest Lucas…..you’re sick…..try get some sleep….I’ll go buy you some drugs……” I said and his eyes close in disappointment as he lye back down. I walk out of the room.

 

When I return he was fast asleep. His body was still burning up and he was sweating. He has to take some drugs.

“Lucas…..wake up……” I said and he frown refusing to open his eyes. “Your drugs are here”

“I don’t want it…..” he whine and turn over.

“Don’t be like that….if you refuse then I’ll have to take you to the hospital…..come on sit up” I said and drag him up. He rested his back on a pillow. “Does your head still hurts?” I asked

“Yes a little but somewhere else hurts more” he said with his hoarse voice.

“Where?…..” I asked worriedly

“My heart…..” he said with a weak smile “it hurts…..it keeps hurting when my head tells it you don’t trust me that much” he said

“I have this pain relief drugs and some other drugs to regulate your body temperature….”

“I don’t want drugs…. I want you….” he pouted and whine.

Ignoring his cuteness I opened the drugs “here….” I point it to his mouth……

“I don’t want…..” he said and hit the drugs away from my hands

“LUCAS!!!!!” I yelled. His phone started ringing, he reach out for it and picked the call

“Jo……..yes I’m good…..the contract?….”

Don’t tell me he’s trying to work when he’s sick!!! I drag the phone from him.

“Jo, Lucas is sick right now and he can’t work….bye” I ended the call and turn it off. “Now back to your drugs…” I put it in his mouth but he spit it out…..

“I don’t want it…..” he was too stubborn…..

“Lucas please take this drugs…..please….”

“No…..” he said and lye down.

I just wipe his body and watch him sleep. I moved the blanket off his body an wipe down to his stomach. His eyes open

“Are you hungry?” I asked and he shook his head.

“Can you cuddle me?” He asked

Without saying anything I took the drugs in my hands.

“Take this first……I’ll cuddle you….” I said and he smiled

“I need to wipe you……”

For a week now Lucas has been ignoring my call, my text, everything! I went to see him at his office but they won’t let me in.

I didn’t tell anyone because I felt bad for myself. Maybe I was mistaking….I should have get a hold of myself.

My team were really funny people. We all get along really well.

After the long long meeting. The file was summited to the COO for approval.

I was in my office reading the previous file when I received a call to come to the COO office.

Immediately I walked it he gave me a round of applause.

As a Managing Director, the company gave me a house and a car. So I moved out of Felix house. Well he told me it wasn’t right to say no to the company’s offer. So I took his advice.

I was working now and I’m kind of happy but not fully happy. The traumas stopped at least for now. I can’t wait for tomorrow…….

“Amanda……” The COO called me and I walked beside the big screen.

After talking and talking and talking Lucas raised his hands to stop me.

“With or without this product you’re working on, my company won’t be infected or raised” he said and my heart crushed. “It May be like a toy to you but it’s still my money you’ll be spending on this little game of yours” he said

“Yes it’s indeed a game but if you look closely…..”

“I don’t have to look closely. It’s your first time producing a product. So it’s fine. Let’s see how well it goes. COO…? Provide her team with whatever they want……” he stood up and left.

The team encouraged me but I just felt like I should quit.

“I’ll go to my office……please I don’t want to be disturbed…..” I said and went straight to my office.

I sat down and rest my head on my desk as I couldn’t hold back my mixed emotions. Tears filled my eyes. I swear I didn’t want to cry, I wanted to stay strong but my heart was too weak when it comes to Lucas.

 

Suddenly my door opened

“I said I don’t want to be disturbed!” I said with my head still on my desk.

“I think you might want to reconsider that….” it was Lucas voice.

I quickly wipe my tears and stood up. He was with Jo and the COO.

“Where you crying?” He asked and I just moved my gaze elsewhere. “Leave us” he said and they left.

“Lucas…….I seriously don’t understand…..”

“You don’t understand? You accused my uncle for what he didn’t do and you’re telling me I don’t understand?!” He yelled

“I should be begging you to forgive me that I was wrong. But no! I’m right. I know what I saw! I know he was the one…..”

“Shut up Lucas I’m still talking!!!!!!!” I yelled with the top of my voice “It May just be a false accusation to you but it was what ruined my life! I don’t need you to believe me or trust me in this! It’s not like I’d go bring him to justice for what he did to me. No! I just want to free myself…..I’m traumatized every night. Do you know how it feels?!!! To see myself as a little gurl every single night been raped?!!!! The pain!!!! Sometimes I can’t breath! Even if I’m cold I’d have to take a cold shower so I can breath! I’ll work here so please…..let’s just act like we don’t know each other from now on…..” I said and walk out of the office.

Lucas has seen many side of her but this was just another.

 

 

Jo of course heard everything…..Jo understand these two. Amanda does know how much Lucas trust and believe in that uncle of his. He could understand Lucas reaction. But tonight Lucas kept looking at the ring in his palm. Jo acted like he knows nothing and didn’t ask questions. Jo took it upon his self to research on Herod past. Unlike others he knows quite well Herod was a very sneaky man.

The whole week was stressful for me. I even went to work at weekend. I know our product will be a success.

The next Monday I went to see the COO.

“What?” He frown

“Yes I’d like to be taking my off day at Wednesday’s……”

“Why? Is it better the boss is too scary?” He asked and I smiled

“It’s just for personal reasons….” I said

“Ok……done…..” he smiled and I nodded and left. Thankfully I won’t have to see Lucas again at least for now.

 

Lucas was already at Las Vegas on Tuesday evening and he couldn’t wait to go to the company. Even know he doesn’t want to admit it, he misses Amanda.

Lucas got to the company earlier than usual.

“You don’t normally come to Las Vegas this early neither to the company either…..” Jo said

“It’s no big deal I just want to try something new” Lucas lied

“Yes of course because Amanda is here…” Jo said under his breath but Lucas heard everything correctly.

“It’s not because of Amanda….” Lucas yelled

Lucas brightened face darkened when he didn’t see Amanda at work. Jo found that that she rescheduled her off days to Wednesday. Of course to avoid Lucas.

Lucas didn’t leave Vegas that night. He stayed till the next day and went back to the company. Everyone was shocked when they saw him but quickly began to adjust. Lucas didn’t mind them he went straight to Amanda’s office.

My door barge opened and I look up to see Lucas. This can’t be happening I thought he only come here Wednesday’s.

“Good morning boss” I said

“Yes…..you know….you should be thankful. I’ve never stayed an extra day in Vegas…. I just found my interest in your project that all. Don’t misunderstand…..” he said

“As a matter of fact sir I didn’t misunderstand anything. My team will be here soon we’ll be having a meeting it’ll be nice for you to join us…”

“With the team? Oh yes sure” he said.

 

Lucas kept looking at Amanda fully. The team find it strange and questioning. I knew he was looking at me but I just buried my head in the files.

“To welcome the new manger why don’t we hold a little party. And it’s all in me….” Lucas said and the team rejoiced.

Lucas always throw parties for them and that’s the only time they can do whatever they want and even mess up in front of him but when it comes to the office? They bow!!!!

 

I could see how they played and cheers with Lucas. It went on and on until it was time for truth and dare.

It was my turn.

“Dare….!” I said

“Wow Wow Amanda I’m very sure you’re tough…..I dare you to…..kiss the boss….!” Jo yelled and everyone was surprised at the sudden dare.

“It’s a game…..I’m okay with it” Lucas said. He was quite happy. Me miss her juicy soft lips. There is no way she’ll refuse to do it and drink two glass of beer.

“I’ll drink!” I said and grab the beer.

“Wow….!!!!!!!” Everyone was shocked. Every girl dreams of that opportunity but she’s going to throw it away?! Other girls thought.

I drank both glass and felt like I wanted to die. But I acted strong. It was Lucas turn.

“Truth….” he choose. “Miss Amanda I’ll give the the honor to ask me anything and I’ll tell you the truth” he added and I frown

“I don’t think I have anything to ask you sir” I said

“Oh yes you do….” he smiled

“No I don’t….”

“Come on Miss Amanda just ask anything…..” the COO said.

“If I don’t get to get to ask I can at least take another glass….” I said too another glass of beer.

“Ok I’ll ask you then boss” the COO said and Lucas eyes were fixed on me

“No…..I want her to ask me a question……” Lucas said.

“I’ll take another beer then…..” I said again and took another beer.

“I guess you’ll keep taking more until you ask me a question……” Lucas said. Everyone find it weird

“I’ll….I’ll take another……” I said and took another glass.

“Fine…..after taking that make sure you take these three glass too…..” Lucas said.

I grab the three glasses and began to drink…..

This girl won’t back down so easily….Lucas thought.

And…….I was drunk!!!!! And it’s not good when I drink!!!!!

“You dirty bastard!!!!!!” I yelled pointing at Lucas

“There she goes….” Lucas smiled

“Everyone!!!!!! He’s a dirty filthy……so stinky!!!!!!…….bastard…….!!!!!” I yelled

The team tried to hold me and carry me away but Lucas stopped them.

I took a glass and threw it at him. It hit right to Lucas cheeks and started bleeding.

“Boss!!!” Everyone yelled

“Amanda!!!!!” The COO yelled

“I said let her be!!!!” Lucas yelled.

I smiled! “But sir…..she’s……”

“She’s my fiancée…..just so you all know” Lucas announced and everyone jaw dropped

“Hahaha…..do you all know…….Since when we’ve been engaged……this bastard……he always hurt me?!!…..fine fine…..you wanted a question?!!!! I’ll ask you!!!!! Do……do you…..do you even trust me!!!!!!” I yelled and grab a bottle. I throw it at him…..Lucas dodge it.

“Of course I trust you Amanda…..”

“You know what!!!! I quit! I quit this stupid job…..You’re stupid! And everything you do is stupid Lucas…..!!!!”

Lucas cheeks were bleeding “oh does…..does it hurts!!!!!! I bleed much more when I was 10……” I said and staggered out of the room.

 

Lucas stood up and followed me.

“Amanda…..stop….you’re too drunk! Let me take you home…” he hold my hands.

“Let me go!!!!” I yelled and push him away!!!! He’s strong hands won’t let go. I fight and struggled with him. Punching and hitting him…..my fingers drive into his skin but he won’t let go……. I grab his hands and bite it really hard.

“Uhmmm……Amanda stop being stubborn!” Lucas didn’t let go. He bare the pains she was giving him.

I raise my heavy head from bed. I felt like dying.

“Water?” I heard Pate asked

“Yes yes…..my head!”

She handed me some water and some drugs.

After taking the drugs I went back to sleep.

 

I woke up again and refreshed myself. I was fine now but what the hell happened to me?

Jo went to visit Lucas grandmother. She divorced her husband years ago when she find out the kind of person he is. She lived a quiet and simple life.

“What do I own this visit young man?” She asked as her shaking old hands drop the cup of coffee on the table.

“I’m here because of Herod…” Jo said and saw the shock in her eyes

“What about him?” She asked

“I want to know the kind of person he was” Jo said

“Why ask me? Go ask Herod yourself…..”

“Please…..tell me!….”

“You should leave…” she said

“It’s about Lucas!” Jo said hearing this she froze.

“Lucas?…. oh that poor boy……is he still being fooled by Herod?” She asked and Jo nodded “Herod was just like his father. He does so many bad things knowing his father would love it. One night he came home covered in blood….I asked him and he smiled…… I later found out that…..he….”

“He killed someone?” Jo asked

“No…..he…..he raped a little girl….. she said and Jo was shocked “I wanted Justice for that little girl because he had destroyed her future but my husband covered everything up…….all I knew was the little girls name…..Amanda……”

Jo couldn’t believe his ears “I should have go look for her but my husband kept threatening my life….so I filed for divorce…….”

I got to the office the next day and all eyes were on me.

It was so weird…..I walked to my office. I tried to remember if I did something wrong but nothing…… it was like my head was blank.

I called Pate “are you sure I came home myself last night?” I asked

“Nope Hahaha…..Lucas brought you home! He had bruises on his face…….did you beat him up?” Immediately she asked I remembered throwing bottles at Lucas!…… I remembered everything……. “Oh God!!!! I’m doomed!!!!”

 

I was stardust the COO office but Lucas was the one there. He’s face was messed up with bruises….. I felt so bad for his handsome face.

“Ain’t you going to say something?” He asked

“What do you expect me to say? You deserve every bit of it!” I said and he laughed

“Ok…..I guess I do…..” he said.

“Why did you call me here?” I asked

“You’re being too cold towards me you know……Mandy I miss you” He said and I snuffed

“You miss a bitch and a liar?” I asked and he sigh

I just turned and left him there. Lucas didn’t know what to do. He loves his uncle but he loves Amanda more. He doesn’t want to lose any of them but he could tell he was already losing Amanda.

He received a message from Jo. He frown and opened the message. It was a record message.

Lucas flew back home.

Lucas looked helpless as he walked into his uncle’s house.

“Lucas……are you okay?” He asked

Lucas eyes were red, immediately he sat down he burst into tears…….he felt so bad so bad for Amanda…….

“Uncle…….all this years…….you’ve played me well….”

“Lucas what do you mean?” He asked

“Did you rape a 10 years old girl in the past?” Lucas asked and looked up at his uncle. He saw the shock in his eyes……

Lucas was too weak to react…… he can’t believe this was true. He cried even more as he hold his chest. He had never felt this kind of pains before……it drown him and way him down. Until he pass out.

 

Lucas opened his eyes and met he was in his bedroom. He fold up in his bed as he look at his screen saver. It had Amanda in it smiling beautifully…….. “I’m sorry……I’m so sorry……..” Lucas cried again…….

Mrs Harrison walked in with a doctor.

“Lucas why are you crying son…….talk to me please…..?” Mrs Harrison couldn’t stop herself from crying to.

“It’s hurts mom……it’s hurts so much…..it’s killing me….” Lucas cried.

“Tell me where it hurts please…….”

“It hurts so much……mom!!! I want to die!!!” Lucas cried. She had never seen Lucas like this before.

“Please doctor is there anything you can do?…..please I hate to see him like this…..”

Jo regret why he ever told Lucas. Lucas looks miserable…..for two days now he have refused to eat…..he just cried in his room.

Jo didn’t know if he should call Amanda over or not. He doesn’t want to make matters worse.

That same evening Lucas took a shower, got dressed and took Amanda’s ring. He walked out of his room. Everyone was so worried.

“Lucas……” his mother called

“I’m going to Las Vegas……don’t worry…..Jo will come with me…..”

“Lucas what’s going on?!” She asked

I haven’t heard from Lucas since that day. Now everyone at work knows I’m his fiancée but they didn’t know I’ve broke up with him. It was so awkward.

I got back from work that day and met Felix at home. They were having some kind of a party. I don’t quite feel comfortable living at the house the company provided for me so must times I stay with Pate.

Pate was pregnant. I was really happy for her.

“I hope it’s a boy” I said

We laughed. Then we heard a knock on the door.

“I’ll go get that” I said “who’s it?!!!” I yelled as I opened the door to see Lucas. He looks horrible

“Can…..can I come in?” He asked and I nodded. Jo followed behind him.

Felix and Pate walked into the living room and saw Lucas too.

“Oh My God! Lucas what happened to you?” Felix asked he was so shocked to see Lucas in such state.

Lucas smiled and turned to me.

“You’re right Amanda…..he was the one! I found out he was really the one……you weren’t lying…..you were right! I was the coward who couldn’t believe it!……. We both know we can’t be together anymore……this relationship is an ill fated one……but……I’m so selfless and selfish……I’d like to make a selfish request…..” he said and paused. He was crying “I can’t live without you Amanda and I can afford to lose you…….I still want to be with you even though I knew what happened…….please Amanda……don’t leave me…..don’t end this…..I’ll be good…..I promise! This time I’ll……” he paused again and brought the ring out. “Say you want me too Amanda….please…..I’m…….so much in love with you. Marry me……we can put everything aside and go to the lake house. You and me…. we can forget the world” he went on his knees “please accept me again…..”

I looked at Pate she nodded. I straight my hands to him. Lucas was shocked that she accepted him back. He put the ring on her again and hugged her waist crying.

“Stand up Lucas….” I said crying too.

Lucas stood up and hugged me tight. He released me and removed a gun from his waist and handed it to Jo. I was shocked and so was everyone.

“A gun?” I asked

“Yes…..if you didn’t accept me back I plan on living here and driving a bullet straight to my heart” he said

I hugged him and hold him tight “don’t blame yourself……I’m okay so far you’re always with me”

Two months have past and I was still in Las Vegas working. Lucas would come every now and then persuading me to come home with him.

“I love my work here” I said

“Ok how about you come home and I’ll give you one of my company over there?” He said

“Baby come on!!! I miss you please…..” he said and I refused “Mandy please….don’t worry I’ll look like a transfer you’ll have whatever post you want” he said and rested his face on my neck….”please…..please…..please……”

I stood up and he followed me saying please.

It’s been two days and all Lucas says is please I had no other choice than to agree. You should see him when I agreed he was so happy like he won a jackpot.

I woke up and saw Lucas staring at me.

“Happy new year my love” he said

“I have to go to Washington and it’ll take like a month….while I’m gone I want you to plan our wedding…..write down everything you need…when I get back…..let’s get married……” Lucas said and I couldn’t believe my ears.

“Really?!!!!” I yelled and he nodded with a smile. “Yes yes yes!!!!!!…..but do you have to go to Washington?” I asked and he nodded and kissed my collarbone “don’t go…..”

“I have to go……” he said and left a hickey on my collarbone.

“Lucas I’m serious……” I said

“Babe I know you…..” I captured his lips and kissed him hard. He kissed me back as he climbed on top of me. He was the one to break the kiss. “If you do this I won’t get ready on time” he said

“Lucas it’s new year…..we should be together…..come on!” I had tears in my eyes

“I know….but…..” I push him away and stood up from bed. “Sweetheart come on!”

“Don’t sweetheart me…..” I whine as I helped him pack his stuff. “I’ll miss you!” I said

“I’ll be back before you know it…..you’ll see…..” he said.

“Can you at least go tomorrow?” I asked

“I’m sorry honey…..Inasmuch as I want to stay I can’t……” he said. I felt so uneasy in my chest about this travel of his.

“You know I love you right?” I asked

“I think I love you more than you love me” he said and I smiled

“Call me everyday…..if you don’t! I’ll come to see you in Washington” I said

“I won’t be able to call everyday honey but I promise to call you when I’m free……hmm?” He said

I hugged him “What if I’m Hot while you’re gone?” I teased him

“We can sex chat……” he smirk

“Dirty boy!” I hit his chest and he laughed.

 

While other couple spend their new year together in a romantic way or with their family, I was here at the airport saying goodbye to Lucas. For some reason I felt uneasy with this but I had to trust him.

Soon he was off my sight. My uneasiness grew more. Maybe it was normal because I’ll miss him.

I went to work late that day.

 

 

 

The next day Lucas texted me that he’s in Washington. I reply back and immediately he was video calling me. I smiled and pick up the call. He had a smile on his face. He looks like he was in a hotel room.

“Where is Jo?” I asked

“Is that the first thing you’ll say to your husband to be after he left for a day?” He asked

“What?! I don’t even know you’re gone!” I teased and he smirk

“Jo didn’t come with me……”

“You’re alone in Washington?” I asked and he nodded “don’t worry okay?”

“Lucas……” I felt even more uneasy

“Sweetheart do you know Washington is really beautiful? So tell me have you started making plans? Maybe we can come here for our honeymoon….” he changed the topic

“No I choose Greece…..I heard it’s beautiful and romantic…..”

“Hmmm true what about France? The city of love? Let’s do our photoshop in France and Greece……”

“Leave that for me to plan. How was the flight?” I asked

“Good…..look I just arrived at my hotel room. I haven’t unpacked my bags yet I missed you” He said

“You should get some rest okay? Call me when you’re free okay? And make sure you get lots of rest” I said and he nodded like a little child

“I love you….” he said

“I love you more”

“I love you much more” he said and I blew him a kiss. He caught it and put it on his lips. It was so funny.

The call ended. I took a book and a pen ……I didn’t even know what to start so I called Quinn over for help……..

I went to visit Jo at work. He looked so busy but immediately he saw me he told everyone to leave.

“What do I owe this visit Mrs Lucas……” he teased and I smiled

“Stop that. Why is everyone teasing me?”

“Well Lucas did tell everyone he’s getting married when he comes back from Washington…..”

“Speaking of Washington. That’s why I’m here. Why didn’t you go with him? I mean you two go everywhere together……”

“Oh…..you’re wrong. Sometimes Lucas doesn’t allow me to go with him…..but this time my wife returned back home with our kids. She left before because I was always busy with Lucas. Now Lucas told me to spend more time with my family than with him…..so you don’t have to worry” he said

I smiled “I never knew you were married, nor have kids…..I’m happy for you…..” I said and he smiled too.


“If you want I’ll check on him for you….”

“No no…..don’t worry…..he calls me sometimes…..” I said

“Lucas is not a child. He’ll be home soon…..don’t worry…..the only thing you should be worry about is your wedding…..oh before I forget, your mother in law to be will be coming to take you out…..”

Quinn, Mrs Harrison and two other women drag me into a big store. It was filled with wedding gown and so many things.

“Welcome Ma’am…..” some group of girls on same uniform bowed to Mrs Harrison.

“Good…..she’s the one…..I want her to try each and every gown on……”

“Mom that’s too much……”

“Quiet Amanda. Lucas personally instructed me to make sure I spoil his money on you, on this wedding……Now this store is one of the Harrison’s property…..so don’t worry about the money……you husband is Lucas Harrison, what do you expect?”

 

I was so exhausted. I just finished a whole section of gowns and taking pictures. Oh by the way, did I tell you she invited paparazzi’s.

“I don’t know, everything looks good on her” one of the women said.

“Yes she’s amazing……look at all this pictures……you should be a model with your perfect body….” the man praise

“Mom can I Rest…..?”

“Rest? Where? You just finished one section…..we have about 23 gown sections……” my jaw almost dropped. My phone started ringing……

I was standing while mom arrange my dress. Quinn switch the camera. Lucas saw Amanda. She was in a long white gown. She was so beautiful…….he’s heart pound fasted….just then the witch flip the camera again and Lucas yelled!!!!!

“Bye!!!!!” Quinn ended the call.

 

I went to the fitting room.

“Ma let’s change…..into this……”

“I don’t want to anymore……I’m tired!” I said. I was so mad. Lucas should be the on doing all this. He should be here with me! Tears filled my eyes. I missed him.

“Just…..”

“I SAID NO MORE!!!!” I yelled. I took the dress off and put on my normal clothes.

I run out of the room.

“Amanda……” Quinn called and ran after me.

 

“Amanda Stop!…….what’s going on?” Quinn asked

“I don’t know what’s wrong with me Quinn. I feel somethings not right! I’m tired! I’m frustrated! Lucas is not here. He should be here….I want him to be here! With me!” I said

“It’s okay……”

“No it’s not okay. I feel uneasy……I just…..” my phone started ringing in her hands. It was Lucas he was video calling.

I quickly wipe my face “how do I look?” I asked

“He’ll definitely know you’re not okay…..just tell him the flashlights made you cry when you were taking your pictures……”

I nodded and picked the call with a smile.

“Hi honey……”

“What’s wrong with you?” He asked immediately

“Nothing…….it’s just the flashlights made my eyes teary……” I said hoping he’ll buy it

“Was it too much?” He asked

“Yes……but I’m fine….”

“Liar!” He said and I frown

“What?” I said with my shaking voice.

“Do you have to lie everything you’re not okay? If you’re not fine tell me you’re not fine…..”

“Mandy I told you I can’t come…..it’s just been a week since I left and things are not going as planned…..I might take longer than expected…..” he said

“What? But you said one month!”

“Am sorry Mandy……if you’re worried about the wedding……”

“Wedding? I’m worried about you……can’t you see?” I was already crying. Quinn watch from behind. She could tell how hurt Amanda must feel.

“You don’t have to worry about me……”

“Oh I don’t have to worry about you?” I cut in.

“Yes you’re overreacting……I’ll be home soon. I know you miss me and I do too so you just have to be patient…..” he yelled.

“Ok…..” I said and ended the call. I wipe my tears and smiled at Quinn.

“That Lucas is a dick! I wonder how you love him…..” she said and my phone started ringing again. It was Lucas.

I answered the call. He just kept quiet staring at me. “You looked beautiful in that dress…..Quinn showed me……can you send me all the pictures you took today?” He said calmly

“Yeah…..” I replied

“Okay……” he paused and sigh “I’m sorry…..” he added

“Me too…” I replied

“I hate it when we fight and argue…..I promise you Mandy…..I’ll be fine…..I’ll try to be home soon. Back to you……”

“….” I only nodded

I had that dream again……..I was trapped this time.

“Lucas!!!!! Lucas!!!!” I cried out. He was in front of me but he doesn’t seem to know me.

“I don’t know you…..” he said

“It’s me Amanda…..it’s Amanda……Lucas…….!!!!!! LUCAS!!!!!!” I jumped off my bed. I hated this dream. I don’t know why it kept coming. I quickly took my phone and called Lucas…… I called and called and called but he wasn’t picking up.

I called Jo.

“Amanda?”

“I’m so sorry to disturb you Jo” I said

“It’s 2am in the morning Amanda what could you possibly want?”

“Lucas……did you hear from Lucas?” I asked

“Amanda….”

“He’s not picking up and I had this scary dream…..”

“Amanda Lucas is fine okay? Please…..” he said

The main reason Lucas was in Washington was because of Jeremy. He wanted to split all his company making sure half of it goes to Jeremy if not his father would claim everything. It was hard to convince the board members. He wanted to do it the easy way but since they’re playing nuts he choose to use the hard way.

They all feared Lucas and signed the contract. Lucas immediately forward the contract to Jo. He was so busy that day. He did see Amanda calling but he ignored her calls. It will only slow him down. He wanted to go back home quickly. He wanted to hug her, kiss her and just hold her in his hands all through the night.

 

The next day Lucas received a call from Jo that he have received the files.

Lucas had one more thing to do. Since he had been to Washington he haven’t taken a free time to go round the city. Just kill time before he board his flight back home tomorrow.

 

Lucas saw how beautiful Washington really is. He took some pictures with his phone.

“Amanda would love this…..I know she will……” he whispered to himself when suddenly a truck ran through him knocking his body on the floor.

People began to scream and run for their lives. The driver came out dressed in complete black he had a ridiculous smile on his face.

He saw Lucas eyes where still opened……he was moving his lips to say something…….

The news about Lucas accident went viral. Every media posted the news. But everyone kept it from Amanda.

“Make sure Amanda doesn’t use her phone, step out of the house or watch the news” Jo said to Quinn

“What?! You shouldn’t hide it from her…..it’s impossible…..”

I was surprised as Quinn drag my phone from me. Some men walked into my house and took the TV and everything, Quinn even harden my phone to them.

“What’s going on?”

“If you stay with your phone you and Lucas will always fight so…..mom instructed me to take your phone away…..”

“And my accessories? My TV…..what does my TV got to do with…….”

“From now……ehmmm……we won’t watch TV…..” she said and I frown.

“Why?”

“Because I say so……”

“At least give me my phone…..I’ve been texting Lucas and calling him all day. Do you think he’s mad at me? He’s not online and his phone is switched off…..”

“Quinn……you’re right, but I still got to do some research about my wedding….so let me have my laptop….” I said

I was so suspicious. Sometimes is wrong and Quinn is not telling me. I made sure she was asleep. I got dress and walk out of the room only to see bodyguards everywhere. What the hell is this!!!??

I tried the back door and saw some few guards too but they seem to not have seen me. They were whispering about something.

I walked closer.

“Well……as you can see…..he was threatened in Washington and they used you as his target…..” Quinn lied again

I finally calm down. “You…..you should have told me……I’m sorry……”

“It’s okay……please let’s go inside……” he hold me close as we walk inside “You can’t use your phone or anything okay? Lucas would be worried……”

“Thank you Quinn…..it’s just that I had this strange feeling and……”

“Lucas is fine…….” she said

Jo and the Harrison transportation Lucas to India for the best treatment. They told them to prepare for the worse.90% that he won’t make it.

The surgery went well with lots of risk….

“Thankfully the bullet didn’t destroy his brains….but…..that doesn’t guarantee his safety. He’s got 12 blood transfusions so far and we’ll need more. Like I said we can’t guarantee you his safety”

“Please doctor…….we can’t lose him…..please…..” Mrs Harrison begged

“Beg God not me…..I’ve done my part…..”

 

Mrs Harrison won’t stop crying.

“Lucas is not the type to give up that easily…..I’m sure he’ll make it…..if not anything but for the sake of Amanda…..” Jo said

“How’s Amanda?”

“She still haven’t find out……but I don’t think I’ll last long for her to notice. Quinn is doing a good job so far….”

“Poor girl…..she have been through a lot……if she finds out about this……” she broke into tears.

Suddenly Lucas began and shake. His entire body began to vibrate. The machines attached to his body began to make noises. Thankful there were doctors in the room. They quickly attend to him.

Soon everything was fine. Lucas just passed the critical stage after his operation but

“He’s in a coma……”

The news broke Mrs Harrison.

“Doctor can you explain further……?” Jo asked

“For patients with this kind of situation……they actually die in coma and……. some last for so many years……I think all hope is lost……”

De Marco held lots of parties. He was so happy. He had brought Lucas down. Soon he’ll get his company back and then…..the beauty behind it all his lady Amanda…..

“The cops are investing the case”

I’m too happy to be provoked. You can leave…….while I’m still nice. I’ll spare your life just because I’m in a good mood”

Xavier left in fear and frustration. He didn’t know what to do. De Marco next move is the company and then Amanda. He doesn’t have enough power to hold Lucas company but he can surely keep Amanda away from De Marco.

I’ve been indoors for a whole week. I can’t do this anymore. I made an escape plan.

While Quinn was at the bathroom I ran outside. “Help!!!!! Help……Quinnn she’s hurt in the bathroom and the door is shut!” I yelled in tears. The four guards at the front door ran upstairs. It was too easy. I grab my car keys and bam! I was off. It was much easier than I thought.

 

The guards started hitting the bathroom door. Quinn quickly get her towel and opened the door.

“What do you think you’re doing?!!!” She yelled and the guards were confused

“She told us that you were hurt in the bathroom and…..”

“Where is Amanda?!!!” Quinn yelled.

 

They noticed the car was goon. Quinn called Jo and informed him that Amanda is out.

 

I drove to my work. Everyone was surprised to see me.

“You didn’t have to come Ma…..we understand you had to be with Lucas…..”

“What?” I frown

“Don’t worry we are handling the company well……”

“What are you talking about?” I yelled

“Ma’am…..Lucas incident…..”

“What??….. what incindent? What do you mean?” I frown.

They workers were confused they browse the news out and showed it to me.

For minutes my eyes didn’t left the screen of the phone. This is a joke!

I used the phone and dialed Lucas number……it was switched off. I called and called. I was going crazy.

“This is a lie….this is a big…..a big fat lie……” I cried as I called Jo.

I kept calling Jo but he had turn off his line. Then my instinct told me to go find Xavier. I grab my car keys and went to the lobby. I saw the guards rushing in with Quinn behind them.

Immediately Quinn saw the looks on Amanda’s face immediately she shivered and suddenly wanted to hide.

“Ma…….Amanda…….” but she glared at her. Quinn have never seen her like this before….it was scary. She quickly move out of the way.

 

I got into my car.



“If this is true I swear to God, whoever did this to Lucas…..you’ve just dug your own grave!”

 

Xavier was in panic in his house. He made a tight security. He had sent his sister back to abroad.

I stopped my car at the front of the gate. There were guards outside.

I drove my car inside and met Xavier outside waiting for me.

De Marco didn’t take it as a threat instead it felt so real in his ears.

I moved back and shot the air twice before I throw the gun on the flow. “Mark my words!!!!”

Inasmuch as I want to see Lucas. I still wanted revenge. They messed with the one I love. I needed to do something but I was scared if I had the right. I called Lucas lawyer.

I was surprised when he told me that he had my name on all Lucas properties and companies followed by Jeremy.

I opened my eyes and frown.

“Amanda….” I heard Jeremy called

As I open the door I saw Lucas. He was lying lifelessly on the bed with lots of stuff place on his head, his chest and body. I rush and grab his hands as I cried really hard.

“You bastard!!!!!! You said one month…..but it’s already five months!!!!! You lie!!!!! Why did you do this to me? Why??!!!!! Lucas please wake up and look at me. I miss you so much…..I’m so sorry……” I cried.

“Amanda……” Jo couldn’t help but called. The emotion was too much. While he was busy taking care of Lucas. She have worked her ass out for Lucas.

Amanda just sit there with her head buried on Lucas arms. Everyone watch her but no one knew what to do. For hours Amanda was the moving. The doctors came to check on Lucas and frown. “He haven’t improved for the past five months. If we must continue……..it’ll all end up bad…….” I heard the doctor said and I raise my head with my bloodshot eyes.

“Say That again and I’ll choke you with your tie!!!” I yelled. I saw the doctor move back a bit. “You’re going to treat him. Till he gets better!!!! If anything should happen to him. I will not only shut this entire hospital I see true it that all the doctors get jobless for the rest of their lives!!!!!” I said it and I meant it

“Miss we are trying our possible best”

“Well your possible best is not enough so work harder……..I’m not someone you should dare with!”

I stayed strong everyday forcing myself to eat and drink. I came to Lucas room and find out he was gone.

“Amanda……” she called. I quickly cleaned my eyes and forced a smile as I look up. I saw everyone here. Dad, mom, Mrs Harrison, Jeremy….etc.

“You all are here?” I asked

“Yes…..let’s celebrate together……” dad said. I look behind and saw Lucas Uncle Herod. I look away and smiled at Mrs Harrison as she hugged me.

Herod walked to Lucas and hold his shoulders. “Am sorry…..I should have protected you. You can get through this Lucas….” he looked back and saw Amanda “you have lots of people who love you waiting for you…..so come on…..fight this Lucas. I told you before. If you can fight my father your grandfather…..then you can fight through anything……” Immediately he said that Lucas eyes wide open. “His eyes opened!!!!!”

I heard, everyone turned and saw Lucas eyes opened. I rushed to him. “Lucas….can you….can you see me? Can you hear me?” I asked but he turned his face away to his uncle.

The doctors told us to give Lucas space. We all stood from afar watching. I couldn’t help but cry. It was tears of joy. I waited for a whole year but it seems like forever.

“You can all go in now and see him…..”

“Doctor is he okay now?” Mrs Harrison asked

“He’s Fine now but still under recovering. Mind you, you might see a lot of changes in him. He may not be the same person you once know…” Immediately I heard that I shivered. I remembered my dreams.

Lucas walked into his office and met Amanda on his sit.

“I just have to be strong…..I’ll be fine….” I said to myself holding back my tears. I was hurting…..I needed someone to be here for me cause I felt I was alone. Everyone was busy now. It wasn’t like before. Then I remembered Katie……I missed her…..if she was alive I’m very sure we’ll be together.

I was in deep thought. I didn’t even know when Lucas walked in.

Lucas walked in and saw her crying…..she didn’t even noticed him. He was here for his revenge but seeing her like this for some reason ache his heart. He watched her for a while and walk closer.

The drugs were so effective as Lucas sigh “it’s okay……but don’t let it happen again! I want to be the one to bring her down to my feet….”

It was a whole day flight to India. I didn’t take anything with me expect my personal card and passport.

I lodge a hotel and refreshed up. It was 4pm. I drove to the hospital Lucas was before. I was so tired yet I couldn’t bring myself to rest.

I told her everything and she felt my pains instantly.

“I’m here to see the doctor who treated Lucas”

“I……..” he didn’t know what to do…….Uncle Herod was really using him. What if……what if all he told him about Amanda was all a lie……

Lucas felt pains in his head as he end up collapsing on the ground.

I couldn’t sleep throughout the night…..it was 4am in the morning I woke up and dress up. I left my hotel room on my way to ******** hospital…… I couldn’t wait anymore.

I hired a taxi driver. The man was generous. He even followed me up to the hospital. He said it’s too early for a young woman like me to go about.

We entered the elevator to the top floor……

Luckily I recognize the man he was standing with some other men. I rushed to him.

“Excuse me sir……” I said and he turned to look at me. The shook on his face shows he recognized me fully.

 

He took me to his office.

“That what I’m here to ask you! How much did he pay you to do what he asked you to do?” I asked and his lips where shaking. “You know how miserable I felt when he was down on that bed, only for him to wake up and not remember me?……”

“We could do this the easy way or the hard way. I knew Herod must have paid you a lot. Let’s help each other…..you don’t want to go to jail do you?!” I said and he quickly went on his knees……

“Please I don’t want to go to jail…..I have a family……I have kids……”

“So you didn’t thought of that when you choose to destroy my life!!!!!” I yelled

“I didn’t do much……I just supply him drugs……”

“What’s the drugs for?”

“For him to forget and never get his memories back. The drug is so effective that it can make one forget what happened yesterday…….”

Lucas had a long dream but when he woke up he couldn’t remember. But he knew it had to do with a girl but he tried hard to remember but he couldn’t.

“You’re up?!” He heard. That was when he notice Amanda’s picture hanging on the wall. He was in Amanda’s house.

“Are you okay?” Quinn asked

“Where’s Amanda? I have to see her…..” Lucas said.

“We can’t find her…..she left her phone, her credit card….everything…..she didn’t even take any of her clothes……”

“No…..”

“Why are you even looking for her?” Erica asked

“I don’t know……” Lucas answered sincerely.

“We have to find Amanda it was all our fault…” Quinn said

“Why? What happened to her?” Lucas asked



“We told her to give up on you…..because you don’t seem to love her, you only caused her pains…..she told us she’ll never give up on you…..she left us…..”

Lucas sat at Amanda’s office.



“Why I’m I even here! It’s not like I miss her or anything…..yes I just want to get my revenge on her…..and the worse……” the door open and Lucas turned back in anger “I thought I said no one should come in……”

When I got there I landed on the sofa and fell asleep almost immediately. I was so tired.

 

Lucas was bored. He walked to the office she just entered and saw her at the sofa. She was breathing softy.

“She fell asleep? I guess she was tired….” he smiled as he gaze at her small face. He kept looking and looking. He started feeling pains in his head.

“You dirty bastard!!!…..you prick!!!! How dare you miss my birthday and graduation….!!!!” Those words echo in his ears as unfamiliar images appeared on his head that soon became familiar.

“You won’t love me anymore if I’m fat? That’s unfair…..you should love me whichever way I am…..”

Lucas was in so much pains but he forced himself to remember.

I opened my eyes and saw Lucas on the floor…..his nose and ears where bleeding. This frightened me. I rush to hold him.

He looked straight at me……. “I wish I can remember more……” he whispered before he collapsed.

I didn’t make a scene. I called Rehman. The doctor in India and told him what happened.

“He’s forcing himself to regain his memories and that’s not good for him. You must stop him……I’ve sent you some drugs name…..got get them and give it to him once he’s awake……”

 

I tested the drugs to Jo with Lucas phone and told him to get the drugs right away and bring them to the office.

 

I lay Lucas on the sofa. I held his hands and stare at him. I didn’t care about me now, all I want is for Lucas to be fine.

 

Soon Jo arrived with the drugs and we had to wait for Lucas to wake up.

“Amanda what happened?” He asked

“Don’t worry I’ll tell you when I’m sure…..”

“Are you okay? You’re sweating….” jo said

“I’m fine….it’s just sweat….” I said. Jo walked towards me and touched my forehead.

He took the drugs and sat up.

“Don’t try hard to remember anything anymore…..” I said

“Don’t try so hard lucas…..you’ll end up hurting yourself and I don’t want that…..but for now…..don’t take any drugs your uncle gives to you…..pretend like you take the drugs but make sure he doesn’t know you don’t take it….. Lucas I know you love your uncle but…..”

“I suspected him too…..it’s okay….I’ll do as you say…….what’s funny is that I knew I remembered something but I can’t remember anymore…..” he said

It was another long day for me. I went home and met I had a lot of projects I haven’t attended to. I started to check them up. I managed to sleep for 2 hours or so before my alarm started ringing.

I quickly got dressed. I hope Lucas was okay because nowadays I can only see him at work.

When I got to my office I began to feel nausea. I rushed to the restroom and started vomiting…..nothing came out! Then I remembered I haven’t eaten anything, I don’t even know how long. I have a meeting 5 minutes to go. I managed to stand up and went to the meeting room there I saw Lucas.

“You’re late…..” he said with a smile and I was relief to see he was fine. “Are you okay?” He asked and I nodded but he frown.

The meeting when on and on and I could feel like my body was dropping…..at least that was all I could remember.

 

Lucas saw Amanda’s body dropping from the chair. He rushed and cut her in time.

“Amanda!!!! Amanda!!!!” He yelled. Her body was burning up.

She was rushed to the company’s intensive care unit.

The doctors check on her and place her on drip.

“She’s dehydrated….. she overworked herself in anyway her body couldn’t carry…..it made her body weak resulting to high fever. Let her rest she’ll be fine…..”

“It’s all because of me” Lucas murmured to himself “and yet I don’t remember or feeling anything…….”

Jo sat down and smiled sadly. He started talking and Lucas paid full attention. When Lucas heard how they always fight he couldn’t help but laugh. Even though he was crying bitterly he still smile and laughed. Jo told him how many times he had hurt her but she always forgives him.
Then finally Jo told him about De Marco and Herod. He told him how Amanda stood up for him while he was still in coma and but De Marco in jail.
When Lucas heard of Herod he broke down and cried he cried so hard that Amanda was disturbed.
I heard the whining voice and I frown. It was like someone was crying beside me. I forced myself up and saw Lucas and Jo.
Jo seem to notice Amanda was awake. “Amanda….!!” He called.
Lucas heard this and he quickly turned to me. His eyes were red and his cheeks soaked with tears. “Mandy…..” his voice was sore.
“I’m fine….why are you crying?” I asked
“Mandy……” he called again. Then it occurred to me. He was calling me Mandy….does he remember anything? Then I looked at him. He was weeping so bad. He took my hands and place them on his cheeks. I looked at Jo.
“What’s wrong with him?” I asked. Jo just turn away as tears drop down his eyes too.
Lucas suddenly hugged me and buried his head on my neck.
“Did the doctor day I was going to die?” I could only assume. I heard Lucas chuckled. Lucas was holding unto me tight. I really don’t understand.
“Uhmm…..” Jo cleared his throat “I’ll excuse myself…..” Jo left.

Soon Lucas raise his head from my shoulders and his face was so close to mine. His face was now calm and he had a small smile on his lips. I looked at his red and weak eyes. I didn’t know what to do next…..I don’t know if this was one of his so called revenge so I looked away.
Lucas felt hurt when she looked away. He raised his hands and tried to make her look at him.
“Mandy…..It may be impossible to remember all the beautiful memories we had together but….can we make a new memory?” He asked. I didn’t know what to say, his face itch close and close. I moved by head back but he still kept coming until I was lying down again.

It was a new week. I returned to work and found out that Lucas has gone back to his company. There was nothing much to do, my schedule shows that I have a meeting in Greece. It was so sudden. The meeting was scheduled as early as 7am.

I opened my eyes and see the dirty environment…..I moved my body but it won’t move, it was like I was paralyzed. The more I tried to move the more I felt weak.

Lucas was the first to rush in with the cops behind him pointing their guns at De Marco.

“Amanda…..” lucas called as he saw she was only on her underwear.

“Don’t came any further or I’ll kill her!” De Marco yelled

“Put down your weapon or we’ll shoot!” The police warned.

“De Marco…..don’t hurt her….!!!” Lucas yelled

I hold the the dagger and drew it closer to my neck “WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR YOU COWARD!!!! Do it!!!!!!” I cried out…..some cops were at our back as one shot De Marcos arm. The dagger fell off his hands. Be both landed on the ground. Seeing I could move my arms…..I grab the dagger and place it on my neck “don’t come close to me…..don’t you dare!” I said as Lucas was rushing over to me.

“Amanda….it’s all over now…..please….I knew I took too much actions but I have to let me explain…..I…I remember now……I’ve got my memories back” he said

“I don’t care!…….I……” I female cop bounce on me from behind and drag the dagger off my hands. I was too weak to fight back. Lucas quickly came to me and hold him.

“GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME!” I cried

“Amanda please…..” Lucas cried too…..

“Aaahhhaaahh…..” I screamed.

Inside the hospital room. Amanda was awake.

“Amanda…… I’m sorry…..” Lucas kept talking and talking and explaining…..but Amanda didn’t say anything. She just look at him plainly.

“Amanda…..hit me….yell at me!!! If you want just do anything to me but don’t ignore me please it’s killing me…….” Lucas cried but she was still quiet. “All I ever did was hurt you…..”

 

Just then Mr Nelson walked into the room.

“Get out! Get lost and leave my daughter alone! How much hurt can you still cause her? Can’t you see? You can’t be together with her anymore!!!!”

“I’m not your father! Your family and I already discussed this! Leave Amanda alone Lucas….you two can’t be together……”

Lucas think about it and found out he was right. He looked at Amanda as tears blind his vision.

(Two months later)

I now live with my family. I guess what happened affected Erica’s relationship with Jeremy too. But we were all happy. Well I could say…… sometimes at night I can’t sleep….I’ll stay up all night. It wasn’t easy…. this new life of mine. It was plain…..to plain…..

 

The next morning I felt so sick and had nausea ….I kept running to the bathroom trying to throw up but it nothing came out. I felt fatigued. I landed on my bed and fell asleep again…….

“Anda…..what’s the time already! It’s 11 am and your still in bed. Get up! Don’t be lazy…. wake up!” I heard mom say.

Mom came back with the trail of food but still found Amanda sleeping.

I forced myself up but immediately the smell of the food hit I I rush into the bathroom again and began to throw up……

After Amanda left Lucas settled down at the lake house. He gave up everything to Jeremy. “So what?!!! You left your pregnant wife alone at home….wait a minute…” I moved closer to him and sniff his body “you even reck alcohol?! LUCAS!!!! You’re sleeping in your car tonight!”

“Am sorry I’m so sorry baby….I won’t do it again…..

“Go away go sleep outside!” I sai

“What if you’re tasty or hungry who will help you? Let me come inside hmmm pleaseeeee……

Lucas regret ever pleading to come inside the house. He should have just slept in his car. She kept throwing him aroun

 

It was on the ninth month of her pregnancy. Even one was at the lake house keeping an eye on me. Lucas was free as women too care of his wife. He hang out a lot with Felix, Jo and Jeremy. Even at that he never forget to provide all she needs just in cas

 

Lucas didn’t come home that night. I toss round and round the big bed. I was uncomfortable for some reason. I stood up and look at the time. It was 2 am. I took my phone and called Lucas. I called him twice. He didn’t pick up. I swear I’m killing him tomorrow

 

I felt so uneasy I kept going to the back room feeling pressed but nothing come out each time. I wanted to go tell mom when suddenly my water broke. I gently sat on the bed as pains hold my waist. I screamed “Mom!!!!!!!

 

Lucas and Felix just got back home they were laughing when they sure Mrs Harrison and Amanda’s mom running upstairs. They too rush upstair

 

When I saw Lucas I yelle

“Where the Bleep have you been?!!!!” I yelle

“I can feel the baby’s head…..It’ll be out before we get to the hospital!”

Lucas came close to me and I pulled his hair

“Aaaahh…..”

“I said where the hell have you been!

“Aaaahhhhh” I cried in pains still pulling Lucas hair….

“How about Donald?” Lucas aske

“No it sounds too Dooooo…. how about Marco?” I joke

“Yes how about Herod?” He added and we burst into laughter. “Oh baby is crying, you go take care of him….

“No way! You go! He must be hungry….isn’t it your job as a woman to take care of the baby?

“Who carries him for nine months? Whose vagina got enlarged?! It was all mine!!! Now go take care of him!” I sai

“I figured out a name” Lucas said as he danced with the baby on his arms. “Victor?

“Wow Harrison Victor……Well you can call him Victor…..I’ll call him William…..

“Seriously?” Lucas frown

“He can grow up to choose which name he’ll prefer….

“Victor….you hear mommy? She’s mean right?….don’t worry just grow up like daddy…..

 

Three months past. It wasn’t easy being a mom. That little creature is just everywhere crawling round you. Destroying things! And at night he doesn’t like! Is he a vampire or what! He cries too and want to cling unto me even if Lucas carries him

“I wonder where he got this attitude from. I guess it’s from his father! Why are you so picky with food Williams!!!!!” I yelled and the little devil smile

“All the pains you put me through when you were pregnant, my son is going to pay you back!

 

I complained to the doctors that my son doesn’t sleep at night. They prescribe a drug for me. I went home happy. But my happiness dead when the little devil refuses to sleep….. he slept only in the afternoon for 4 hour

 

Six months…..yes who wouldn’t love Williams. Lucas went for a business trip so I dropped Williams with Mrs Harrison for two days. I enjoyed my life. The second day I was sleeping when I heard a car drove into the compound. I frown and looked through the window. Lucas was back!!!

He’ll be mad if he finds out Williams is with his mother! I’m dead

“Victor….!!! Daddy is home!!!! Honey….” he called

I walked to him and he pulled me for a long kiss. “I missed you a lot…..is Victor sleeping?” He asked wanting to go to his room

“He’s not here…..” I sai

“What? Who is not here?” He asked. Lucas doesn’t joke with his son. He went into his sons room and it was empty

“Amanda where is Victor?” He aske

“Look I know you’ll be angry but try to understand……

“I won’t ask again!!!” He yelle

“He’s with your mom…..I dropped him there a day before yesterday….” I sai

“You did what!!!!!!” Lucas yelled. He didn’t say anything after wards. He went out of the house and drove off. I know he was going to get his son. Let me continue my beauty sleep

 

When Victor saw his father he started jumping on his grandmothers la

“Dadadada……daa……” He sai

Lucas carried his son and hugged him “daddy missed you too…..

“You’re here……

“Yes I came to pick him up….”

“Ok I’ll go get his things ready…..

 

Lucas returned home. When Williams saw me he burst into tears wanting to come to me. I went to carry him from Lucas. Immediately he  was in my arms he stopped crying. I knew Lucas was angry at me but I didn’t care. At least I had to rest for two whole day

Will was a smart boy, they were at the mall and he noticed a woman approach his father asking questions up on questions. It went on and on until he got disgusted. He remembered what his mother told him “you must not allow any woman come close to daddy….and if daddy should look at any woman? Stand your ground then come report to me

“Excuse me miss…..” his little voice yelled

“Aww so handsome…..is he your son?”

“Yes I’m his son…..” Will cut in “and if you don’t mind can you please stop flirting with my dad? My mom is a crazy woman. You don’t want to have beff with her…..you know what I mean?”

Lucas jaw almost dropped and so did the woman. She could only leave with shame

“Too much? Wait till I tell mom you allow a woman to flirt with you….

“What?!!! No no your mom will kill me…..I didn’t flirt with you saw it….

“But you knew he motives but didn’t avoid her! Moms gonna Kill you moms gonna Kill you…..” he yelled in the mall

“What should I do? Please don’t tell her

“You want to bribe me too? No way!!” He yelled

 

In life you must taste pain so that when relief comes you’ll know what pains really is. Those who always have relief have no idea what it takes to be in pains. I’ve been hurt several times, I’ve been broken and frustrated. You’ll wondered why it always has to be me, Well I guess that because something great it’s on it way. Life is tougher than it seems. If life is tough you should be tougher, if life is rough you should stay stronger, if life plays the beat just dance to the tune. No matter the hardship you must have been facing, don’t give up. I don’t know your past, but some of us our past torments is. But Don’t push your past away, but embrace it. If you made a terrible mistake in your past don’t let it hunt you down, embrace it and do things right. If you were hurt in the past embrace it and let it heal. Don’t try to push it away. If a wound is neglected it’ll get infected and bring more pains to you but if you take care of the wound and alway remember to treat it, it’ll heal and only leave a sca

Your past can heal but still leave scars but not all scars are ugly after all. It shows you fought a good fight and you heal.

Hi Dapalace. What's up with your blog? It's getting really difficult to navigate it these days. Couldn't access it all through yesterday. Today,it looks different and it's difficult to access completed stories. Once can even still use the search box to find ongoing stories. But there's no way to find completed stories which is where I scan through to decide which story to read next. Please do something about it.
