He's smart with his word choice, you can't pin him with that cus you will only be guessing. And guessing can't get you much.

The other guy he used as an example (the rapper that shot someone)was very careless with his words and vulgar too, that's why the cancel culture caught him.

South of heaven.
I think it is good, just towards the ending that got my feelings mixed up. I like how it progressed slowly with it's story. I believe they could have done more the the story and how they delivered it.

However, my favorite actress Evangeline lilly may not be as beautiful as she was once ; still, she's Very beautiful LOL grin. Loved her since I first watched her in LOST.

Dune was okay, slow build up, the visuals were great but I didn't understand some of the visions...they all seemed muddled

And the cliff hanger had me groaning for more

Nah, they won't continue the status quo for Tent pole movies debuting same day next year. Shortest 45 days.
They ACTUALLY have a plan for these movies that won't be premiering on HBOMax.
Casey Bloys (HBOMax Chief Content Officer) said they've got movies specifically made for Max alone/mainly for it. They notice people who came for the movies later stayed on and watched some Series. They noticed the interconnectivity that's why they'll keep feeding the movie audience in it just before their biggies comes up: HOTD, GL series and The Last of Us.

That's the main reason you're seeing so many smaller DC characters getting movies: Batgirl, Zatanna, Static Shock, Blue Beetle etc.
WB is committing at least 10-13 new movies specifically for HBOMax from next year, including the DC movies.
You do know HBO subscribers are included in the HBOMax subs too right?

The greatest mistake people make is watching Dune without knowing the full context. That's way it's imperative to read the books first to get the sense of what it's about. The world of Dune is very complex I tell you, there's a lot going on.

I'm in book 4, and probably won't finish the whole series till January/February 2022. For the meantime, I've backburnered Dune (2021) indefinitely.

Lol, bruh HBO subscribers are about 4 million subs in comparison to HBOMax 40.6 million subs.
So combined they are in 44.6 million subscribers. So man, HBO subs doesn't really count. The numbers have been steadily declining each quarter.
If they're up to 2.5 million by end of the year sef I'd be surprised.

How many subscribers did they gain initially from HBO?

There are two Dune comic series currently being published.

• Dune The Graphic Novel Book 1: It covers the original (first) Dune novel. According to people who've read it, it's a scene by scene adaptation; although the dialogue is shortened, it doesn't leave out any events from the book. If you're more into visual storytelling, this may be a good way to get into the story. Just keep in mind that the second and third parts of the books are not due for awhile.

• Dune: House Atreides: a prequel to Dune. Took place 35 years before the events of the first Dune novel.

Dune

Minus the visualgasm and relative names on the cast.

Judging by the first part...... Very generic plot unless the fun is stashed in the second part.

Generic plot?

I haven't watched it, but according to people that have watched Dune and also read the books, the plot, though rushed, is very faithful to its source materials, and coming from someone who is currently reading the books, I can confidently tell you that Dune's plot(s) is not generic, if anything it's peculiar.

Copshop (2021)...7/10

Should have been 8/10 but the terrible ending kinda marred the overall quality.
Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Calibrator: 9:18am On Oct 19, 2021
Perhaps the movie left out the peculiarities imbibed in the books plot.

Don't want to drop spoilers but I can see the plot in the movie coming after the first 15mins.

Launched 2020.

Don't remember, Prolly 29 million or so.
All in all, they're almost the same since it's same platform, same company. Just tweaks here and there with added content.

Dune: 4/4 stars

Part Game of Thrones, Lord of The Rings and Star Wars, Dennis Villeneuve's Dune is a visual spectacle elevated by a poignant score from Hans Zimmer.

This was an entertaining flick which is something I've come not to expect from Villeneuve's projects.

HBO had about 41 million US subscribers...When HBOMax announced their subscriber numbers, every HBO subscriber was included whether they were actively streaming HBOMax or not...
What we know for a fact is that Godzilla and his smaller bro(Kong) added around 2 million subs to HBOMAX.. HBO also has around 100 million subs world wide...When HBOMax rolls out completely world wide, those subs will become theirs too...At&t has decided not to release their Latin America subscription numbers to the best of my knowledge so far...
Their heavy bankers as at now remain their Game of thrones I.p's along with The last of us..
Until then, Hbomax is still in the same waters as every other streaming service bar Netflix..

Dave's brand of comedy is based on commentary, he picks a happening topic and jokes about it.

Unlike Kevin Hart, who invents his stories and depends more on funny gesticulations.

Funny because Dune inspired the bolded and Tolkien wasn't really a fan as he was an harsh critic of the piece. As for GOT, GRRM called it an ancient dune
