they will ask for court order and to get court order is more than 10k, the best thing is if the recipient is kind enough to transfer the money back if not the money is as good as gone

Just forget it... It is not worth the stress and extra mo ey u will spend... Eg court order and police report go cost nothing elss than 20k.. It is done in a customary court... Except the person is a good person and the bank go call am to refund the money... If he withdraw am quick and refuse to resend it, sorry there is nothing u can do about it that is cheap.... I'm speaking from experience

Please what can I do to retrieve the N10,000.00 ? It Is possible for the to retrieve the money.

Send a mail to access bank customer service, copy ecobank customer service and follow up
you will recover your money no worries

I had similar experience in august 2016, i wrongly transfer #20k from my access bank to another access bank account, my experience is not palatable at all, I wrote a letter to the bank explaining the whole scenario, did a court affidavit, ask to get a court order which I did not do because of the cumbersome way of getting the court order, to cut the long story short, that is how I just did sent forth for the #20k.

Contact your bank asap and also send message to the beneficiary account with proof, the bank will put the amount on hold..

If I see any transfer in my account that I wasn't expecting, as in I am sure it's not a transaction I made, I will try by any means to contact the person and give him back the money, you don't know what people are going through, if it was their last money or their hope to feed or get something very important or maybe send it to a family member who was in need...

I will hastily return it...

Me too I made a wrong transfer of 10000 to one LAWRENCE IJAGWU. ACCOUNT NUMBER: 0045596261...Access Bank.

I was supposed to transfer to my access bank account number. 0045596291. The only difference is 6 and 9. I called customer service n they said they will place the money on hold until d person visits the bank.

Contact the bank immediately so they can peg it. But they can't reverse it without court order and with the amount involved, I don't think you should even bother.

how this one want take work..he can say it's a 10 year debt...or for services provided...OP is living o...the machine must generate name before u can transfer and no 2 names are de same

next time confirm name of receiver first before initiating the transfer. For now you will have to beg the access bank officers to assist out of their own kindness

Very true. I mistakenly sent 20k from my access bank to another access bank customer. It didn't even take up to three minutes for the guy to access the money. When I complained, the customer care rep requested for police affidavit and court order. That was when I knew that my money was gone for good.

Search out the person on facebook. I once did that and it worked with the person reversing it without issues. Your approach is the crucial element.
Putting the person's details online here could have someone else contacting them and claiming to be you. You need to be more careful.

Alternative is to contact your bank.

i tried this Facebook of a thing.
it actually match one of the names.
but the person is not an active user, with what i saw e don reach three years the person login last

Go to any branch of the beneficiary bank near you and explain the issue to a customer service officer. Beg them and show the person proof of the transaction and they can help you to LIEN the beneficiary account of that amount especially if the fund is still in the beneficiary account.

After that you will be asked to write a letter regarding the issue then they will help you to contact the beneficiary and explain the situation to him/her. So, if the beneficiary agrees they can either tell the beneficiary to transfer the fund back to you or they can tell him/her to write a short letter instructing them to debit off the fund.

Ensure you visit the beneficiary bank branch early in the morning before they start getting busy. I mean ANY branch of that bank near you.
If they tell you to go that there is nothing they can do, don't leave stay there and keep begging them. Saying there is nothing they can do may mean that they don't want to embark on the process due to the stress, so still stay there and beg them they will surely do something.

I once witness a situation whereby a funds transfer officer in the process of entering the amount, he erroneously entered the transfer form serial number of 7 digit and the officer took the form and ran to the nearest bank branch of the beneficiary.

Just go to any court around your area and explain the issue to them, they will give you Court order and you will take the court order to the receivers bank and the issue will be treated immediately and you will get your money back within five working days.
The court will collect small money from you. Since the money is 10k, the court may collect like 1k that is all.

Two weeks, but if the bagger does not have money inside his/her account it can take more time. One thing is certain, once you have gotten court order, you will definitely get your money back no matter how long it takes.

You dont get it by negotiations like affidavits. You approach a lawyer who files a motion before a proper court and the court makes an order for the said funds to be reversed into your account. It is the order collected that would be taken to be bank which the legal unit of the bank would work on and reverse your money
