Talking about e-naira wouldn't there be connection between physical naira and the e-naira, so I wonder naira that is devaluing every now and then would help the e-naira rise, wouldnt it be a waist of investment

Nonsense! We don't need Government to give us money (that creates unhealthy dependence and entitlement), CREATE AN CONDUCIVE ENVIRONMENT AND WATCH THE CITIZENS THRIVE WITHOUT DEPENDING ON GOVERNMENT

Impossible, even if it is which will you go for between usdt and ngn
I'll trade the Naira/USDT pair.
That is...with my USDT, I'll buy loads of eNaira, which will be faster than P2P trading, when there's the need for Naira.

You see?

Banks can't lose I bet most people will still prefer to keep their money in bank.
It takes time then people will see the benefits. When smart smart phones and social media became a thing, most people still preferred letter writing and email but eventually, they wouldn't resist the moment. That's the nature of technology.

As people who are involved in cryptos where they prefer to keep their money?

SmartPolician:
I had to read the article twice to know where you got this from. Please the central banks don't have any business with the people. It's the banker's bank. Central banks regulate commercial banks, the bank people interact with. The central bank will never promote any policy that will render commercial banks useless.

The article says that the e-Naira will enable the government to send targeted funds to Nigerians. To be honest, this e-Naira is just a joke. The CBN has our BVN and can still send targeted funds to us if they are serious. If many unbanked people don't have ordinary bank accounts, is it the so-called e-Naira wallet that will require all hodlers to use internet-enabled devices that they will have? undecided
The article did not deal with what I wrote. But with e-currency, the cbn banks with people directly. The cbn was the bankers bank in the old dispensation which is slowly going to phase out, in the era of e-currency, we will be dealing with a new technology which will cut off the commercial banks. It's just the way it will be.

E currency will be a very disruptive technology. The cbn will bank directly with the citizens while banks will become redundant in many ways much like cryptos is basically taking banks off the equation.

Not crypto...yes, but the eNaira will be classified as a digital asset/currency, just like crypto.
Speaking from a trading point of view, all other major currencies are traded on exchanges as pairs with major crypto, such as the BTC/USD, ETH/USD, BTC/GBP, ETH/GBP, BTC/EUR, ETH/EUR and lots more.

So, this has absolutely nothing to do with the eNaira being a crypto or not!
If you're a digital assets/currency trader, you might just understand my stance, if not...it'll sound alien to you, and you'll never get it!

E-naira that the government wants to use to control everyone like it is done in China. The moment you criticize government, you wont be able to use your account. Government will monitor every line of your transaction while leaving out Fulani terrorists.

Nope!
The ones I listed are available on crypto exchanges such as Bittrex, Bitfinex, Gemini, Coinbase pro, Bitstamp, Bitbay and lots more.

It's called Central Bank digital currency (CBDC), not digital central bank currency.

The future is here.
Digital currency is here to stay!
