I know there are IPOB members on Nairaland who can answer this question. What exactly is achieved by sitting at home?

You should know the simple answer if you are intelligent enough.

Protest in general has never solve a problem.

If u want to be among them, u have to play like the predators in the jungle and not to carry nigerian flag and swing left to right.

In the jungle, the plants swing their leaves but that doesn't stop them from being eaten by the rodent.

To be successful, u have to be capable of great evil, the people up there are wolves and if they give u the voice to protest, then u shouldn't take the bait

Part of the achievement is what you've just done. The sit at home has gotten your attention, so much you have to create a thread about it.

It is a form of civil disobedience.

In a functional environment where political leaders have pride, it is should be very worrisome.

Unfortunately, we are in Nigeria. Our politicians no send anybody.

What a selfish question? Your mate sacrificed their lives to the gods to save their communities and you are here complaining of losing revenue.

Go and protest on the street and get shot by Nigerian terrorist soldiers

Is that all? You think people haven't been aware of the activities of IPOB before they started issuing sit at home orders? That's a funny answer to my question. Your funny answer shows the irrelevance of sit at homes in solving any problem.

It has instilled fear in other people who are aspiring to be like Nnamdi Kanu. Without the effort of the federal government the country would be a more dangerous place as there would be more Nnamdi Kanus rising up and pushing for violence.

Civil disobedience? Why not disobey for the 7 days each week?

Which people have ever used sit-at-home as a form of civil disobedience apart from IPOB?
Re: How Does Sitting At Home Solve Any Problem? by OdumegwuOjukwu: 7:12pm On Oct 21, 2021
Sitting at home reduces the number of casualty that would have been sustained by the youth, if they had gone out to protest. Last time out about 150 or so unarmed IPOB protesters were mowed down by the Nigeria security force.

By sitting at home, the casualty is reduced on the side of the protesters, while the security services have to cover more grounds trying to anticipate where the flash point will be - more work for security personnel, less for IPOB.

Basically, sitting at home has saved more lives!

Many threads have been created on Nairaland concerning Biafra even before this futile sit at home thing started. Your answer carries no weight to prove sit at homes are not useless.

There is always a first time. You don't have to copy, you can create.

Tai Solarin once did one man riot.

Between 1963 and 1965 Yorubas were killing and burning themselves in massive scale on the streets of Western Nigeria in the name of 'Operation Wetie' as the supporters of Akintola and Awolowo engaged each other over political disagreement. This situation stopped only after the military intervention by Nzeogwu and co.

Sit-at-home is never civil disobedience.

Perhaps you should check the meaning of civil disobedience

"Civil disobedience is the active, professed refusal of a citizen to obey certain laws, demands, orders or commands of a government, corporation or other authority. By some definitions, civil disobedience has to be nonviolent to be called "civil".

IPOB threatening people to obey sit-at-home is not civil.

There you failed! And this showed that, you're not following the events currently. Since they arrested KANU we all know that SE have not remained the same.
That's The fact no matter how you want to twist it.

The election rigging and violence in the western region triggered the coup.

No jobs
No good health facilities...
