Islie:Unless we are being hypocrites and dishonest to ourselves and acting dumb and senile like Buhari, these depot owners have the right to increase prizes. Electricity power they use in running their depots has seen an increase in bill, transport cost has increased, goods and services the owners patronise have all seen large increase in prices. Every business in Nigeria even those not impacted by the failed policies/no policies of the cattle rearer have genuinely or artificially increased the prices of their goods and services,so why should these depot owners be the exception? Finally, the Naira has become almost useless so they have had to pay several million extra dollars to buy fuel. If Nigerians want to allow Buhari to complete the last remaining months of his monumentally failed rule, then everyone should be ready to continue crying blood. |

Did this man not say private owners? Is he expecting the government to regulate the price? They are not "Not for Profut" as such, whatever would pay the owners is what they would do. It isn't compulsory people buy from them. |

This is imminent when you have a government that doesn't know its onions. PPPRAA, (Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency) that was saddled with regulating ex-depot price of fuel was scrapped by the incumbent government and despite series of assurances of putting another body in place, nothing has been done. Which is why is it easy for any marketers to wake up and increase prices unilaterally |
