Lacazette has kept the Villa backline very busy and that is as a result of the constant pressure and decision to keep possession.

Very impressive first half.

Great 1st half

I like this new 4-4-2 formation.

It utilizes aubameyang position as a goal poachear and lacazette hold up strength.
This way we add another striker into the setup while removing the need of a AMF


now I expect arteta to stick with this formation from now on with Lacazette, Abuameyang, Martinelli, Nkeitah and Balogun all fighting for the 2 CF positions while saka, ESR, odegaard and pepe will fight for the 2 wingers positions and finally partey, xhaka, lokonga, AMN and eleny will battle for the 2 DM positions.

Arsenal desperation made it look normal too. I doubt This Arteta had plans for him if not that injury made that fA cup chance available. Besides not hearing any positive news regarding games to be played is a big decider. I really don't blame Martinez. I doubt anyone with such treatment will be happy. But he should move on.

If that is his only failure today, I will gladly take it. He has been composed and attacked intelligently, knowing when to sit back and when to press. He has also inverted perfectly to support the CBs. Not saying Tierney is suddenly poor but he has lost form and his presence made our attack too predictable in the midst of other offensive options. Hopefully, this benching will reset his brain.
