Gptech:

How many hours do you power daily on the average and how often do you change oil?
I don't usually on daily, on a average of 5/7 days for 4-5 hrs and I change the oil whenever I see it's turning black. It has modified tyres (you can see from the pics) so I don't know if I need a "used car tyre" for putting the generator on instead of directly on the tiles.

What's the proper oil usage too. Thanks for your reply

Gptech:

Use only dry Iron with less than 1000W. Generator will power the washing machine too. You may not use both equipment simultaneously.

Thank you. That means, if it is different type of iron, a bigger generator is needed

Morning bosses
Pls can an I better pass my neighbor tiger gen power a 350W Qlink blender.
I just got the gen and I want to be using it to charge my laptop, phone and power a white bulb and a ceiling fan.
it should. I remember years ago I use it to grand Mellon and can't even recur the watts of the blender. But the blender was light weight and grand Mellon, groundnut and crayfish well.

I bought this gen in April but I usually power it daily so I want to ask that apart from regular change of oil, do I need to call an engineer for servicing? I also notice that the noise is getting louder
load noise can be low oil or the firing is high

Thanks boss
I'll surely try it out
And thanks for not ignoring my message

The oil is still very filled up, just a little dark. How do I check the firing? Thanks for your reply

is the loud noice abnormal or just a normal generator noise?

The is a black rubber + screw ontop the carburetor. Play with it when the generator is on. You will get to understand the change of sound.

I will do what you suggested later this night when I power it on.

I moved to a new apartment recently so the gen is now placed directly on a tiles which is different from the former cemented one at my former place.

Put the gen on a car tire to muffle the noise

Change after running for 60-70 hours. If you run 5 hours for 7 days constantly, it means you should be changing oil every 2 weeks.

Big gen, big noise. I don't think you can do anything about it except you mean the noise has increased from how it used.

Have you used similar sized generators before?

Good evening boss Gptech and other elites in the house. A friend whose dad sells engine oil said he's been using what he termed "light oil" since 2 years ago and his gen is working perfectly fine. How true is his claim that road side engine oil is the same quality with factory made engine oil?

Avoid road side oil. Did he tell you the weight of the oil he uses? That he has been using it for 2 years means nothing for now.

For a used generator? That might probably have developed one or two faults. Bros 25k is a very generous offer

Get a car tire and place your gen to absorb vibration and the noise

No be to send the generator come naija be the problem.... If e get issues, replacement part go dey readily available? Cos I don't think most of Chinese/Japanese OEM parts in Nigeria will fit into this American spec

I was eyeing one Champion and Dewalt product... After my research, I knew these type of generator parts are not in Nigeria at the moment

Except you are gonna buy replacement Piston set, Carburettor follow body, cos these are parts were dey easily wear out with time

Na the main issue be that, he needs to get the spare parts shipped with it too.

That's a powerful engine.
