And I suspect the only reason it is not younger for women is because 18 is almost universally the age of consent. Of course there are exceptions, but generally speaking women are attracted to maturity and gravitas (and money in poorer countries), while most men are attracted to looks (and for many, also a certain something about youth that has nothing to do with looks!)

My sister who knows the reason why. We do know it's a fact. It makes no sense on the face of it. But I guess it's the same reason most men are NOT attracted to fat women. There is more to hold onto in a fat woman, more to love, yet most men are not attracted to them - yet they are attracted to big butt - which is fat!
