See y'all should stop seeing only buyers as victims,sellers are also victims especially those lagos residents claiming to be rich people yet they are living the packaging lifestyle looking for who to scam..many buyers here are scammers who entices sellers with part payments to send goods and end up picking item and go awol with balance..I just bite one of them who thought he was smart..trade with caution I have been bitten before and this guy though he could outsmart me this time. Thieves everywhere.
I'm curious, now that you've bitten the accused "scammer" by collecting <50% of the total value of the item, how do you intend to recoup the other part of your funds. Or will the logistic company return it to you then you'll use the "scammer's" cash to cover for the expenses. In my opinion that is no justice.

If truly you have noble intentions, let the "scammer"/ buyer send the agreed balance to Wese90, if he acknowledges to be in possession you'll release the tracking code to the "scammer". At least you'll have to prove to naysayers here that you are not who they accused you of- you're a truly honest seller who's trying to be extremely cautious.

If you're doing business outside your location, use wese90 as escrow..

There are other guys you can use as escrow, but wese is most popular.

Use escrow to buy anything, escrow holds your money (Waybill inclusive,) seller sends item, only receives money after buyer has gotten item.

Escrow protects buyers and sellers alike.

Escrow is the way forward for online businesses.

All I can say is wow! A very bold scammer indeed.

I love shopping online because it’s convenient, and most times I pay before delivery (including the delivery fee). I have never been scammed both on Nairaland, twitter and Instagram...4 things that guide me:

1. I look out for vendors that post more original pictures (not random photos from the internet)

2. I check for when the account was created (I’ve bought things from new accounts but it’s safer to shop from old accounts)

3. On Nairaland I search for their monikers to read stuffs about them (it could be reviews, the kind of threads they create and even the way they respond to people)

4. I follow my guts

Oh and one last thing, I avoid extremely cheap deals...awoof dey purge belle grin
