Smiles, you don’t have to blame him. I remember back then, I saw Lagos airport then the day i landed at Abuja airport I thought it was the best place my eyes had behold on earth. Hope you understand what m trying to say? Hehehehe
I totally understand, poverty and low standards have really left us short sighted.
I thought my tiny university town was heaven too until I visited Brussels and London.

My calling it a miracle is not because it is such a wonderfully designed edifice but because of the pace of work.
I wouldn't know of the speed but I just wish the miracle of basic things like constant power and good roads came first.

These politicians are actually mocking us with some of their projects bro. Commissioning water tankers and all that in 2021
Not possible, River Niger is an international waterways that flow across states, it can only be possible we collaboration with FG, which can only be possible if we have Igbo President or Nigeria cease to exit that when we can dredge the river, because Nigeria government are not willing to fund the dredging since there are Sea ports around.
Thanks for the explanation.

People going to Nnewi, oba and onitsha will prefer to land at Asaba than where Anambra state airport is at.. Obiano messed up this project with the choice of location.. Very wrong location

And the funny side is, they’ll take the common man’s wealth to send their kids for such exposures. Funny characters of leaders we have in Nigeria.

Nothing special here. In fact, this is mediocre. Those who travel well would understand what I am saying!

Anambra Airport emergency center is far better than the airport in your home state Oyo.

My dear, hope you saw the lines where I said corruption won’t kill my Country? And you also see where I say we will get there?

My writing is not criticising the airport or the motion and intentions behind building it. I am only saying let’s start doing more with everything that concerns infrastructures in Nigeria for most of the world has gone past us. Have you seen Cairo airport? That’s a country in Africa o. I know some peeps ll start saying they’ve been in existence before us.
I understand what you mean but also note that the official figures we have are that the airport cost Anambra state about 10 billion naira (close to 20 million dollars} thus far, I feel that figure is commensurate to what we have on the ground. Please note that the airport has already attracted 3 worthy investments....air peace has purchased land at the airport to construct an aircraft maintenance hangar and also to establish a flight school and orient petroleum is already constructing an aviation fuel depot............there is a plan by Anambra state to also extend the taxiway to cover the entire length of the runway and maybe extend access to the depot and maintenance hangars, That terminal we have on the ground will be expanded soon as well......if you and I patronize that airport perhaps there will be a compelling reason for the airport management to fund the construction of a mega international terminal of our dreams.

Who told you I am from Oyo? Do you even know if I am a Nigerian? So because I commented on Oyo state, then I am from there?

This is why Nigeria would not grow, we celebrate mediocre things! Politicians keep doing basic things and we celebrate it like they did world class achievements.

I have been to a number of airports in Nigeria and most of them are below par. Only Abuja airport is manageable (it's still not world class).
Have you seen Ghana's airport? Or Mauritius? Or Morocco? Or other countries in Africa? We know Europe and other continents have world class airports.
