JideJordan:Hmm.. Reality is not in your neighbor's favour here. Humans are not creatures endowed with the ability to regenerate lost limbs, and there has not been any proven testimony of an amputee miraculously getting a limb back, in recent history or within our life time. So, what is the probability that your neighbor is going to be the exception? If he is wealthy, he may want to look into prosthetics. |

NaijaSatanlst:It's 50/50. When things have been very well made, they do not require miracles. No Creator is ever happy to be made to return again to fix a product He Once made very well and Freely Gave Out. And God is not in the business of making profits so, He has no responsibility towards fixing creations which have destroyed themselves, by themselves. That is the Mountain between men and God's Repairing aka Miracles. |

MaxInDHouse:Deeply pondering on this your comment, but if our spiritualists are real with us and go on line with this comment, do you think they will make money especially those in full time pastoral work. But one thing I am sure of is humans will expect more from them even when they come out clean. |

JideJordan:If that happens, you do know that will be clear evidence of miracles. The reason it doesn't happen is because miracles aren't real. That's also the reason why none of your pastors have attempted to try such miracle, because they know it's never going to happen. Think! |

You have witnessed a miracle before? Really? I have personally witnessed several miracles. You have witnessed a miracle, yet you want to quit your faith probably because of one challenge or the other. I may agree that we do not have as much miracles as we did in the old times, but we still have miracles. I haven't seen an amputated limp grow, no, but I've seen other miracles, I've also had miracles myself. JideJordan: |

LilMissFavvy:If we ask you what miracle you had now you will be telling us one long story about how you were favoured to get a job or some other ridiculous things you guys claim. Yet Muslims, atheists and others also get such experiences. Please I will like you to name one miracle you experienced that never happens outside of your faith or the particular god you brandish. |

I will mention only 8. I will discuss them on the surface. Mind you, I'm only mentioning them cuz you asked me to, if you like believe, if you like doubt. When a Christian has a miracle or an encounter with God, most do not care what doubters say. It's just like you meeting the president to get a pressing need, you meet the president, you then receive what you wanted, then come out, only for your friends to tell you that you received nothing. You wouldn't care what your friends say. 1* Personal healing 2* Holy spirit warned me against entering a kidnap public vehicle,(Miracle from danger). 3* Another happened and I was saved from a stranger who told me he brought in goods from US and I should help him with directions to a warehouse. 5* God sending judgement back to wicked friends who betrayed me when I did no wrong. This happened 2times. 6* My sister's healing 7* My dad being saved in the past severally from danger, after I saw looming danger and interceded for him. (This is too long to start narrating in full). 8* Holy spirit gave me directions. Was lost on the way, when I heard the right way to use I said no, it's not possible, I used the road I felt was the one, shockingly I later realized it wasn't the correct turn , I had to go back all over again, to use the way the holy Spirit told me earlier. (This happened when I was in a strange locality, went there for something important on a rainy day with heavy storm.) There was no one immediately in sight to help out. Let me stop here. Buliwyf: |

LilMissFavvy:Lol. Ridiculous claims. I specifically asked you to mention something that can't happen to anyone who doesn't subscribe to your beliefs but you went ahead and mentioned healing like atheists don't get healing after a sickness. The rest of the things you wrote there are equally ludicrous and hold no water. Even your fellow Christians will laugh at them and ask you to prove it. Some can't even be proven to be true. *Yawn* next please. |

This article was born out of a demand from one of my eminent readers on a topic I wrote "Strange Powers Resident in the Church." One of my readers with the pseudonym LordReed, in a commentary, said: "Use this so called power to give an amputee their limb back." 1 Corinthians 12:7-10 7. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom, to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit, 9. To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10. To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues. What an amputee needs is the working of miracles. However, let me start by establishing that with God, nothing is impossible. And the same power and authority resident in Christ Jesus is in the church, as the corporate anointing. The Bible teaches that, "Do you not know and understand that you [the church] are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells [permanently] in you [collectively and individually]?" (1 Corinthians 3:16) The church has the experiential power through the manifestation of the Spirit to restore an amputees' feet. However, the amputee must meet two annex conditions. That is, first, the amputee must be willing to receive a miracle: because God cannot do anything without your will. "If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land" (Isaiah 1:19). Also, still emphasizing on the will, the Lord Jesus asked, the man who had an infirmity for thirty-eight years, the question: "... Wilt thou be made whole?" (John 5:6). Second, the amputee must be in a place where the manifestation of the Spirit is preached: because it is in that atmosphere that God will confirm His word. "And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen" (Mark 16:20). You see, in Jesus' day, when the people heard he was in a certain place, they carried the lame, the weak, the diseased to him to be healed because it is in that place that the Spirit is in manifestation. The power of God is in every church, so to speak. Yet, there're certain ministry where certain type of manifestation is prevalent. I want you to understand here that the place atmosphere, where the Spirit of God is in manifestation, is very imperative. "And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them. And behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and lay him before him [Jesus]" (Luke 5:17-18). Notice in that last text two important phrases, "The power of the Lord was present to heal them," and "Men brought in a bed a man." The manifestation of the Spirit, the gift of healings and working of miracles" is always present in certain place/ministry; and men have to bring in the sick into that atmosphere to be healed and/or to receive a miracle. Jesus' question to that man, who had an infirmity thirty and eight years show that sometimes your outer condition want to be healed but your inner conviction says otherwise. In the end, one who needs healing or a miracle, my advice, should by every means, look for a living church where the manifestation of the Spirit is preached: for it is in that atmosphere that one could receive one's healing or miracle. Jesus is Lord! |
