In this state and level of infrastructural decay...every one has to come together to clear that gap...look NNPC isn't technically building it...the road construction is still being managed by the ministry of works...NNPC will only provide the fundings using the tax credit scheme... Yes NNPC also pays tax....

It not the job of MTN to build roads in Nigeria.. They should be focuses on improved telecom..and Internet... Today they want to build Enugu Onitsha road..

Dangote shouldnt have any business building roads either... But he has constructed the longest concrete road in west Africa.. Obajana kabba road..and now building apapa oworonshoki express road...

Glo also don't have business with roads...today they are negotiating on how they can fund the construction of ota roads..

Access bank built roads in VI, Lagos....

U need to understand that the issue has gone beyond responsiblity cuz Fg who should be responsible can't do it all..so they have to create every avenue to get this critical infrastructure done..
egoldman:
Please someone should correct me, is it the job of NNPC to construct federal or state roads? Have they finished with the petroleum business or is there somewhere in the act that established NNPC where it states out that part of its function is to construct or rehabilitate roads?

Diezani is from Bayelsa State. Danjuma made hundreds of millions of dollar from the sale of an oil bloc in Bayelsa. Mariam Abacha's American University of Niger (Niger Republic with campus in Togo ) is built with stolen oil money from Diezani ancestral lands.

Diezani has never gone to Zamfara to steal Gold exploration money. While Ndimi and the likes are milking millions of dollar from Diezani ancestral lands, Diezani people are ordinary fishermen struggling to survive at sea. You should just keep quiet.
Sadly Bayesla currently owed N150 Billion plus the N43 Billion the governor just borrowed = N192 Billion.

Now, since you quickly used Bayelsa to defend the looting and corrupt woman, please explain to us how she helped her Bayelsa with her looted funds or any federal influence to direct federal benefits or projects to her lovely Bayelsa.
'

Do I need to tell you how many hospitals or schools she could have built with the $12.5 Million she spent on a useless bra? Dozens of mansions all over the world and luxury boats.?

Dude, you are a dangerous enemy of the people of Bayelsa.

Both we Yoruba and Igbos are second class citizen in this country. I don't blame the north but I only blame Igbo selfish leader nnamdi azikwe for is thirst for power instead of reasoning about the future.

Niger state will swallow the entire SE...DAT fact ..
U can't compare the length of fg roads in Niger to SE or SE..besides...the key thing is infrastructure is increasing in Nigeria.. Beyond that aba ikot ekpene and umuahia ikot ekpene which are two critical roads are receiving attentions..

DonjazzyPikin:
Just a single project in the North Central has covered the entire projects in both South East and South South..

Is this fair??

How can nnpc be fixing road which she wasn't created for.
It is a bastardization of education for this to be taking place.
While they are at it. Ministry of education should be clearing goods at the port.

NNPC is FG to start with and NNPC's money is your money, so it's like saying you don't want NNPC to use your money to fix your roads, but below is what NNPC used to do with your money.

Nigerian youths can not and never make sense to save their own lives..

I was telling someone dis morning that dis advertisement of bras and gowns by EFCC was a ploy by this govt to give its propaganda foot soldiers ammo to defend them with on their next looting and incompetent charade.

Here am I being proved right.
Look at the trajectory. PIA is signed by Buhari which makes NNPC a commercial entity and hands over 30% of whatever profit it declares to "frontier basins". Guess where the basins are concentrated, the North.
A few weeks after that, NNPC declares over 200bn profit gleefully paraphrased as "the first time in 44 years".
Immediately after NNPC is "commercialized" Petroleum tankers go on strike to protest bad roads.
A few weeks after, same recently commercialized NNPC in one of its first act as a "commercial" entity wants to spend 600bn fixing roads. 600bn is thrice the profit it declared.
Now juxtapose that with the fact that some of those roads have actually been awarded. For example, Bida-Minna road. It's a state road and the governor recently declared that he has secured a loan to construct it. So who is fooling who here

The main reason why the roads are been given this attention is for swift movement of petroleum products from one point to another and most of NNPC storage facilities are located in Niger state..

Regardless of your appetite and love for rumor mongering and conspiracy theories, NNPC is still owned by the FG and Nigerians including you and if you hate the fact that the FG including you are using your money to fix your own roads to directly benefit you and Nigerians, then something is seriously wrong with you.

I don't. Not on the evidence on ground.
If you believe she's the only Nigerian woman who has 30 bras then I don't know what you think of Nigerian women.
If you believe she owns a $12.5m bra and she left it in her wardrobe in a house in Ikoyi, then you're really gullible.
Mind you, the EFCC never said she owns a $12.5m bra. That's the handwork of zombies who want to use that to distract from the present regime's massive incompetence which is obvious in this latest NNPC charade.

Am not into that about a bra worth that much not found in a bank vault! My point is that Frogeye stole this country blind while Fortunatus deep in drink chased sheppopotamus all over their private residence in Aso Rock oblivious of goings on in government around him!

If NNPC is really serious with road construction for a smooth operation of petroleum product distribution, they would've look into roads like:

-Port Harcourt- Aba -Enugu - 9th mile road

- Awka- 9th mile - Otukpo-lafia road
(South East / North central)

-Warri- Ekpoma- Auchi- okpella-Okene road
(South/south)

-Akwa ibom- Itu- Calaber road

-Abuja- Kaduna - Kano road

-Lagos- ore- Benin road

These are very important roads in Nigeria that have been neglected for long

Not just doing all the North Central in Niger state

What criteria did they use in selection of the Projects that almost 9 out of the total are located in Niger State alone? So Niger and Kwara states are the representative of North-Central. Is it that Tanker drivers don't use other roads in other Part of North-Central?
Close to 79% of cargo from north to south passes that route.

Whatever Diezani used her money to buy has nothing to do with the question he asked you. Diezani is from Bayelsa State. Diezani is worse. She used those her poor fishermen kinsmen's money to buy 12.5 million dollar bra.

So kindly shut up.
