These people obviously do not know what they are doing! Fees a prisoner with #1,000 per day while an obedient citizen earning minimum wage cannot feed himself with #1,000 per day.

Prisoners with access to news information will have increased

5 years ago, I was in prison in Chile for doing drugs. It was even on our Nigeria newspaper and on nairaland too.

Food was not your problem at Penitenciaría de Santiago, Chile,

you have to worry about other things like gay ànd prison violence.

No matter how much food they serve in prison, freedom is the best, stop locking people up for minor crime, don't joke with your freedom for all the food in the world.

I have learnt the hard way, making money requires wisdom and not gragra.

For my Igbo brother a who want to go to abroad and "bute Ike" please it's not worth it.

Go to any Nigerian prison, ask them to show you a plate of prisoners meal. After you survive the beating from wardens and see the food, you will cry your way back to where you come from. Why?
Because that 1000 Naira budget will end up being a 50 Naira food. There was a Country!

This is all politics. Due the down slide of the Naira, they had to come up with figures to maintain international acceptable conditions just on papers for inmates.
Failure to do so will get them blacklisted for inhuman treatment if prisoners.
Imagine telling UN that the food budget is less than $1 (#500) a day.

Why should someone commit crime and still be fed freely? Democracy na the biggest scam since 1000 bc.
