Hello everyone, so I bought some sample hair from Alibaba, the weight of the goods is 0.5kg and I paid 44$ for the shipping via FedEx and its been three weeks now, so I checked the tracking information and I saw clearance delay, texted the seller and she's telling me FedEx said custom duty is 45,000 naira. How's duty calculated that hairs not even upto 200k duty will be that amount?

What business does GiG Logistics have with AliExpress?

It is either Nipost or Speedaf for normal shipping which you can't pick which except you pick special methods like DHL, FEDEX (Beware of these because the charges that might follow).

And if I were you I will be praying to get Speedaf over Nipost.

I think speedaf do not have offices in all states yet and do partner with the smaller logistic companies. That's is where I am having issues. The local delivery man is a thug. He chargers for delivery and don't document the charge like NiPOST does. He also mishandles package. I just need something that will direct all my parcels to NiPOST in my local town.

I use Barter by flutter ware, the rates are quite high but it's works well.

How I have been operating it? On the barter app, I created the dollar card for $2, funded it and started using it. The rate per $ for now is around 580+

I believe the LC handling it is the "SUNYOU" that's written in the destination strip. Though, I haven't heard of them before.

What's killing people is the price it's sold in Nigeria, that's why some people will wanna take the risk of buying from China at least you can see a cost at reduced price of 20% of Nigeria price.

Which one is Trimanson express... Seems I will stop ordering any stuff till I see how this their 3rd shippers behave. I have developed close relationship with my near post office and not now i have to face diffrent couriers each time I use Caino shippers.

Your pressure on the seller meant nothing.The seller cannot influence logistics. My items were also stuck at accepted for linehaul for sixteen days but have since received the items. Patience is the key.

If you don't get your product and tracking shows you didnt, you'll very likely get your money back.

Extra charge is something you can't really tell until items arrive in Nigeria. You can also avoid all the drama when you use a third party shipper. I don't as a matter of principle, recommend any third party shipping company as I'm not affiliated with any. This is because in logistics things often don't turn out the way we want and I don't want anyone saying that I was the one that recommended any. Always do your own research before using any. The rule is never to use any random person that claims to ship as they are likely scammers. Use reputable ones that have been around and have loads of reviews. Cheers.

The seller can do fork all to speed up delivery process in China. There is a reason they give long estimated delivery dates,so you cannot hold them accountable if for some reason there is a delay. Sorry but that's just the way the world works. My combined delivery was stuck for two weeks but I'm now using the audio dacs I ordered. They were standard shipping items and they came through speedaf and took twenty six days. My canaio order was also delivered by speedaf in twelve days.
