While they shoot at unarmed civilians, boko boys are killing and raping their sisters and mother. One thing the Nigerian army do not know is that you can't fight on two fronts and expect to win. While I do not see then winning an ideological war in the east, they will still loose the war at their home. A looser is always a looser

I agreed with some of ur notions and disagree with others.
I agreed with the fact that u can't win an ideological war, yes, waging war against ideology with contemporary weapons doesn't work, we saw same in Afghanistan. I have said it long time ago, that if fg kill Nnamdi Kanu today, another person will rise to lead the cause, it is not a war fought with weapons of mass destruction, but with weapons of negotiation skills in a systematic way. I am neither in support of Biafra breaking away at the same time, i am not in support of how fg have treated them so far. I am a strong advocate of one Nigeria.

I disagree with the fact that Nigerians army don't know that one can't fight on two fronts amd win, of course one can if u have the skill and necessary resources to do so. Israel fought on two fronts in yom kippur war and won. USA as of now has the skills and resources to fight on different fronts with victory in sight. Simply put Nigerian army do not have the resources to fight in two war fronts, that is understandable and agreeable.

Then lastly, it is not because Nigeria army is a looser, it is simply the politicians who had politicized everything leaving them with no choice. I have always preferred military to civilian rule in a country like Nigeria. Despite the exçesses from some uncouth officers, nigeria military is trying. Only those inside knows how it goes, but we outside can run out mouth from now till tomorrow condemning them. The sponsorers of boko haram can finance Nigerian budget, but Nigeria military only gets a fraction of the yearly budget and yet, still embezzle most of the funds, why won't it be so when the politicians are doing so without no punishment.

In case we are still looking at this thing with ordinary eyes this guys have taken over Nigeria it's a matter of time.

Now let me respond this way. Like you said, it takes a lot of resources mostly tactical and intelligent one to fight on two fronts and win. You cant really say the isrealis fought on tw fronts. what happened in that war was that they chose the side they want to fight. they chose to fight the egyptians who were more equipped then and they picked their best and strongest soldiers to keep the jordanian side busy while they face the egyptians. You and I have agreed that the nigerian army lack both resoures and skill to do that. now if I were the COAS I will still focus on the fight against book boys as failure on that side will divide nigeria more than ipob would, my reason is that once other ethnic nigerians see that book is making advances into the south, dividing nigeria will no longer be an igbo agenda because I do not think that there is any southern ethnic group that will want to have their communities bombed and their women raped on constant basis. As much as people dislike Buhari, the truth is that this present war is underfunded. The government is spending only about billion dollars on the army yearly, inclusive of a war, is far from enough. A budget about 4 times that size will help. Wars are extremely expensive adventures.

I feel foreign mercenaries should be employed. They've proved very effective in the past. The army needs to have Iswap neutralized in Cameron, Niger and Chad or they'll simply keep spilling over into Nigeria from those countries
