Tomahawk99:
Oga a million passengers is exaggeration. Not even with an A380 will you achieve that this fast.
Two round trips a day did you check the routes they operate and the number of passengers on these routes? With aircrafts that can barely carry a hundred passengers? This is not true.
Two round trips a day is an understatement.
Each plane makes more than 5 trips a day.

I flew AirPeace and it was Boeing.

Don’t say what you don’t know please.

It is the new set of planes they are acquiring from Brazil that is Embraer brand new planes.
You are both right. Just as toyota operates both camry and corolla and all. Boeing operates different variants . Of those variants airpeace operates two variants of the boeing 777 (777-200er and 777-300) and two variants of the 737 classics (737-300 and 737-500). The 737 - 8 Max is not yet in operation in nigeria. Air peace has it on order but i'm not sure it will be delivered till may be 2025

Because it is not one idiot in of the unlucky states with APC governor abi?

The Boeing 737 Max that Ibom uses in flying passengers can fly over 100 passengers at once. Use that number to calculate when they started till now.

Accept that PDP is better than APC a million times.
i believe you were referring to the A220-300 as ibom doesnt operate the 737 max

And you think everybody is as fake has yoh.
And you are telling me that a reputable company like ibom air can put up any data in their website even with the plenty competition or enemies around her?
Try and get sense oo
Lol guys don't be angry oohh.. Its a normal thing to question data/its source. In science its called data critiquing . Let's not attack each other over this.

1 million flying customers or 1 million visitors to their websites ?

How many planes do they have

How many passengers can a plane take (average)

How many routes do they go

1 million passengers is not real to me
Shut the fvck up, it is real.

Ibom Air has over five flying birds and an airbus...
The fly over 2,000 passengers a day.
Re: Ibom Air Today Celebrate One Million Passengers by tshtsh: 2:57pm On Nov 04, 2021
So guys i have a passion for aviation outside my normal routine. Ibom air operates a fleet of 5 crj-900s and 2 or 3 a220-300s. On flightradar24 the crj 900s are not trackable so i cant comment about their routes. However two of the A220s operates 6 sectors a day ( 6 flights daily from lagos to abuja and back : lagos to uyo and back ) with a capacity of 140 seats. Thus assuming 100 seats are occupied on each sector (on the average) it will be good to assume that they convey 1200 passengers daily on the A220s. The crj 900s have a capacity of 85-90 seats and they have been operating the crjs for at least 18 months. If anyone has details about the exact number of crj900s in operation and the number of sectors they operate daily please bring forward and together we can all see the estimates. This will give everyone a better idea of whether to believe the figures or not. I believe this is better than out rightly accepting or rejecting the statistic published.

On the other hand air peace is another force in nigerian aviation space to look out for. They are always on the news for the wrong reasons (delays, cancellations, refund issues, confrontation with passengers, among others). However, the volume of passengers they convey on a daily basis is next to none. If you look up their recent acquisitions (124 seater E195s ) on flight radar you'll find that those planes are always on the air operating 8 to 10 sectors daily. There Boeing 737s are also worked 8 - 10 sectors daily . Their 50 seater ERJ145s are not trackable on flightradar24 but those machines are in the air day and night. After operating into remote airports in the day time (kaduna, calabar, akure, warri, ibadan...) these planes are used at night to fly to west african destinations (freetown, banjul, dakar, douala). So it's looking like they are getting the chunk of the domestic air travel market. That's why i'm not surprised that they are able to get funding to buy those new planes

The Rjs operates 25 sectors everyday

Great!. How many CRJ's do they have in active service ? 25 sectors with an average load factor of 60 passengers will give us 1650 (crjs) + 1200 (a220) = 2850 paxs daily and 1,040,250 paxs annually. I believe they would have surpassed the 1 million record long before now but may have been hindered by covid and the under-utilization of their fleet.

Also this explains why they have a good on-time performance. With the many daytime airports we have in Nigeria if they increase the number of sectors on their 5 CRJs to 40 daily they'd struggle make up for delays cause by bad weather, slow facilitation of passengers, VIP movement and recovery from unexpected aircraft snag

That's even greater than the 65 I projected. Thus I believe the 1,000,000th passenger is in order. The facts on ground doesn't suggest otherwise
