Accord party governorship candidate in the Anambra State governorship election, Dr. Godwin Maduka, has called for the cancellation of the election.

Speaking at a press briefing at his country home in Umuchukwu, he said he is displeased with the massive fraud that rocked the polls across the State.

Maduka said "This is the biggest and hi tech electoral fraud ever witnessed in recent elections in Nigeria.

"Most of the devices INEC used for the governorship election in Anambra State never worked in many places especially in the rural areas, thus disenfranchising thousands of eligible voters across the State.

"This is a shame and a rape of democracy in Anambra State.

"Majority of the people who wanted to vote and particularly for my party, the Accord party, were denied the opportunity to do so because of faulty devices INEC (BVAS) used for the polls.

"It is an open secret how many people, including eminent citizens of the State who could not vote because of faulty devices INEC rolled out for the election.

"This is totally unacceptable, there is an urgent need for INEC to improve on the nation's electoral process.

"The election was poorly conducted and I am displeased with the process" he said.

Aside Maduka, the All Progressive Congress, APC, had also called for the cancellation of the election, accusing INEC of manipulating the entire process to favour Obiano's APGA and Soludo.

Dr. Godwin Maduka has age on his side to still become governor in future. The same with Val Ozigbo of PDP. But for Maduka, he doesn't need all these shalaye. He needs to call Prof. Soludo and congratulate him immediately and if possible have a lunch with him. Then, he should start exploring possibility of joining APGA.

The fact is that Soludo first ran for governorship in 2009 under PDP and could have won if Pres. Yar'adua didn't die because his wife was Turai was backing Soludo. When Pres. Jonathan came on board, he jettisoned his own party's candidate and backed Peter Obi of APGA. From 2009 to 2021, Soludo joined APGA and garnered enough goodwill to run again and today, he is Governor-in-waiting. It is never an easy journey unless you have a Tinubu as godfather.

Dr. Maduka needs to restrategize immediately. The first step in doing this is to send Alex back to Abuja and seek the counsel of some trusted Anambra elders to guide him on the next steps.

Alex went and bought ticket for N2500 from an obscure party and sold it to him for N5m, then announced he was stepping down for him.
His wife delivered and he named the baby Godwin, then got the man to award scholarship to his son.

Everyday he will arrange one pageant group or another to present kangaroo awards to him and publishing same on various social media platforms.
When the man lost out in PDP, it was obvious that he was yet to learn the ropes of dirty politics, he would have aligned himself with APGA so that he can at least get their senatorial ticket but Alex no gree am rest with arrangee awards.
Now Alex next move is to arrange Charge and bail lawyers and promising him victory at the Supreme Court like Hope Uzodinma who was declared Governor from number 4 by Justice Tanko.
