if you be paid in dollars, yes $40000 will give you a decent life style here in Nigeria. you will have to cope with the insecurity and Lagos traffic

No. I am not being paid in dollars.

It is also a remote work thus I am behind a pc and don't get to go out often.

If it's a full-time role with accruing benefits, I'd stay and work a year at least. If it's a contract role (meaning you can be fired at short notice), I'd look to migrate after 6 months. Either way, start the process NOW

It’s not a contract role. Actually a Fortune 500 organization. I will however be following this advise. Thank you

Please take up the job. Save as much as possible. $150,000 can buy citizenship in several countries should there be a need to easily migrate from this crazy country later.

$40k is a whole lot of money here. You work remotely so your expenses should be pretty low.

You should be able to save $30k yearly if you are thrifty.
