Absolutely agree with you Kobo. Most of our adults, with due respect, lack conflict resolution skills. We think violence is a way to resolve conficts and for the most part, are victims of violent upbringing themselves.

First of all, I would not be having that conversation with a random child I do not know and I would not be losing my cool either because I am sensible enough to know that is one of the fastest ways to get in trouble with the law and/or find infamy on YouTube. It’s called self-discipline, self-restraint, self-preservation. I am as much African as you are but that doesn’t mean I would allow my pride to get me into trouble with the law. That is complete foolishness, no matter the provocation. Frankly, I have too much going for me to risk it on an incident like that.

To you, it’s an eyesore; in law, it is assault. The law does not care what you think or where you came from. When in Rome, you do like the Romans. If it’s okay in Naija, stay in Naija to practise it, do not attempt to export the behaviour abroad. In the highly unlikely event that any of my kids find themselves in a situation where they are mouthing off at someone and that person puts their hands on them, African or not, I would STOP AT NOTHING to make sure that person feels the full wrath of the law.

If you cannot conform to the laws of your intended destination abroad, I would strongly recommend you stay in Naija! Permit me to ignore any further mentions from you.

No one has the right to hit my child or punish my child in the name of correction (except their teachers and that is to a certain limit).If my child misbehaves, report them to me for disciplinary measures.What this woman did was totally uncalled for.

She should have called the cops on the kids and have them handle them instead. The woman was wrong!

These kids now have smart phones to record your foolishness so you better behave yourself

She's been blasted on the internet and then the courts will make an example of her!

The worst part is the little girl didn't even swear, she just said don't talk to me because I don't know you. She then told the 'adult' don't shout at me... The child later concluded that the 'adult' is a fool. All statements seem accurate when watching this video. This was an unprovoked attack on minor.
