I was thinking the writer will proffer a situation. There is no way the two will attend different churches.

Christianity that supposed to unite, in the name of denomination, is now dividing.

A sad reality in today's world of Christiandom which is not what Christ represent.....

That they may be one

Christians worship God through Jesus Christ.
Muslims worship God through Muhammed.
Traditionalists worship God through their various deities.
The only reason why Christians and Muslims preach against traditional religion is because traditional religion involves the offer of blood sacrifices, which begins with a fowl and ends with human sacrifice.
The only problem Islam has with Christianity is that Islam does not believe Jesus rose from the dead.
The only problem Christianity has with Islam is that Islam still believe in conquest by war (old testament method).
...and the only problem I have with all of them is that they've allowed human doctrine to replace divine spirituality.
Until we realize that majority of the things we fight for are actually irrelevant in the realm of the spirit, we will not make any headway spiritually.
Until we realize that we are spiritual beings journeying through a human experience, we will not see the purpose of our creation.

If there's no ideological differences, why canceling a marriage because of denomination? That's nonsensical.

I don't have issue with you associating with any denomination. Your ideology is what matters to me. If you're not liberal, I don't have any business with you.

A girl i wanted to marry recently insisted i switch and wed her in catholic church while i am an Anglican, i refused.
That was how everything ended

My story in 2014, she is a member of Catholic Divine Mercy Denomination. They said she has reached one level that she must marry a Catholic or she brings the man. I just respect myself and let go. Nneka, may God bless your home. She wanted to but her parents won't have that with a Yoruba man for that matter!

Op.. you're assertion is wrong... that's you don't want to marry from a particular Church or denomination or even other religion has nothing to do with hatred...it's better to avoid future conflict than to be unequally yoke... The two must believe and see same direction..for the sake of future

Oga, marriage is workable best with compactability of partners, religion is part of such compactability, marry someone u re compactable with, religion wise, tribe or education or otherwise.

In as much the spouse is not an extremist. I can marry from other denomination.

After everything she said that night, I decided it was the last straw, I walked away.

If you see this, I'm really disappointed that you couldn't take my word and let everything about church rest. We could have had some beautiful and long lasting, but your fears and knack for perfection won't allow you to see the bigger picture.

Both of you should do traditional wedding and leave church with their problem. After all, marriage is a family thing, not religious.
