More proof that Nigeria is a poor and wretched country. Over 200m people only worth $200b+ and just 9k millionaires in dollars. Just imagine Elon Musk richer than 200m people. No wonder they see Africans as useless people.

What this report means is that there is just 1 person who is worth N500m among 21,978 individuals in Nigeria. Also, in a country of 200m people, we have less than 4 people who are worth N500b. What proof do you need to conclude that Nigerians are not creative nor growth oriented. No wonder the only businesses we have in Nigeria is real estate, hotel and eatery. No brains. Later, they will fight South Africans and other African countries claiming giant. Worthless populated country.

Take it to bank, NIGERIANS ARE CHRONICALLY POOR. DONT BE DECEIVED BY THE MONEY YOU HEAR IN NAIRA. 200M PEOPLE NOT WORTH THE BUDGET OF A STATE IN US. TAKE FOR EXAMPLE, OUR BUDGET (TO CATER FOR 200M PEOPLE IS LESS THAN $50B. THAT IS THE BUDGET FOR ONE OF THE POOREST STATES IN US, TO CATER FOR LESS THAN 20M PEOPLE.

And how much is your net worth?

It reminds me of the thread I created to warn folks who believe they can become billionaires by being entrepreneurs in Nigeria: https://www.nairaland.com/6390993/dont-relocate-billionaire-nigeria-fantasy

Two things to note:
- You can't entrepreneur your way out of Nigeria's - poverty.

- You can't become a dollar millionaire let alone billionaire by doing business in Nigeria (exceptions happen but like they're known, just exceptions).

Nigeria Home To 9,100 Dollar-Millionaires Worth $207 Billion - News Report

Mee:

The overwhelming majority of this $207 billion were stolen from the Nigerian public treasury.

If you are asking why is Nigeria the extreme poverty capital of the world, this is the main reason.

Nigerian wicked Oppressors do not loot and keep them in Nigeria. No, these economic terrorists plunder the public treasury and siphon the looted funds to Western financial institutions and or buy choice properties in Dubai.

Inference:

All Nigerian State Governors are Dollar-Millionaires. All of them! Start your counting of the 9,100 from here.

Half of this $207 billion will provide stable electricity for the whole of Nigeria and fix most of the dilapidated Nigerian road networks.

Unfortunately, all of them put together is not up to Elon Musk undecided.

So at the ratio of 1- 9,100, it cannot grin

Meanwhile, the report says Lagos lost about 100 multi-millionaires and about 1,800 millionaires between 2017 and 2020.

That’s clearly the effect of bad governance. Buharinomics in action.

But unfortunately, the landlord of Lagos, the Baba Sope in Chief of Nigeria, has been the greatest supporter of this disaster of a government; just like majority of Nairaland resident zombies are all Lagos urchins.

Fools!

To the sentence in bold font...

Yes, most of us moved out of Lagos. Some traveled out, while some moved to other states.

In the 2017 report, total wealth in Lagos stood at $120 billion but reduced to $108 billion in 2018, $96 billion in 2019 and went even lower in 2020 at $88 billion. This implies loss of about $32 billion or N13.15 trillion within the last four years.

Some states in Nigeria don't have anyone in the 5000 USD net worth capacity except the politicians that run the state

So no body own land in those states except politicians? $5k is barely 3m Naira. A residential plot in a Nigerian city is worth over 2m Naira. A completed 2 bedroom house anywhere in Nigeria is worth over 5m Naira.

From this simple analysis, you can see that the average Nigerian family has at least one Naira millionaire. Very simple

5k is 3 million Naira. Isn't it CBN that said 99 percent of Nigerians don't have up to 500k in savings.

Networth is not all about savings. Savings has very little to do with networth because we don't know how much others have in their savings. It's more about assets such as land and house.

Even at 3m Naira, the analysis still holds. There is at least one home owner in every Nigerian family, and there are also family lands.

I read the report from start to finish before commenting.

And from the report, South Africa is first in Africa with over $600billion. While Egypt has HNWI of 282biilion dollars and Nigeria third with 207billion.

So the question I’m posing to you is why did other cities maintain growth while Lagos declined by over 30 percent?

Stop talking about research and work with what is already provided here. That’s if you have any cognitive abilities.

......Now take that growth figure+ size of economy and compare it to pre-covid economy.....instead of stunting your ability to reason to justify the high your brain recieves when you blame Buhari.

O.k. then consider certain factors like S.A being a private sector driven economy....... and compare it to the Nigerian mono-product economy (Crude-oil to refresh your brain) and the sudden fall in crude oil price.

Or i can choose to be simple brained like you and just scream "Buhari"!!!!!

When the government is doing everything in its power to frustrate everything creative out of the people, what do you expect?

When the people are all out to gain material wealth not by legal, creative means but by duping other people in religion, romance, investment scams etc, what do we expect?

A lot is wrong with Nigeria and sincerely, the people are not too different from the leader's except for a few ones. I've always said that Nigeria is poor and this data has further proven it. Bad leaders or good leaders o, Nigeria has always been poor, had the potential to become wealthy but instead went back to decades of poverty.
