TooNoisy:he did this because of his inherent tribalism and belief in the superiority of his ethnic nationality. he felt they had the superior population and exposure to be the master race in Nigeria. Not because he believed in a phantom 'one Nigeria'. His philosophy was carried out to the letter by Aguiyi Ironsi who finally introduced unitary system which has affected that ethnic nationality most adversely today. Talk about lack of vision and foresight or blinded by xenophobia! |

Posthumous Birthday.. ![]() If North were to do posthumous birthday, Igbo people will be in trouble because of what they did.. We forgive and forget but the labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain Sir Ahmadu Bello (Sardauna of Sokoto) and Sir Abubakar Tafawa Ɓalewa were all killed by Biafran soldiers and Buhari paid the retired Biafran soldiers some months back. TooNoisy:correction: Zik's NCNC actually had the most votes. NPC had the most seats but not the most votes, in fact they had even less votes than Awo's AG. NCNC (Zik) 34%, AG (Awo) 26%, NPC (Balewa) had 25%. They however did not have enough seats to form a government hence the need for a coalition. |

There are already at least thirteen national public holidays. Anambra has been grappling with the Monday sit-at-home, whether enforced or observed out of caution. For the sake of the economy, additional public holidays should be discouraged. Some days may just be observed without being made public holidays. |

May Chukwu okike bless & strenghten you. |

| Re: Nnamdi Azikiwe's Posthumous 117 Birthday: Anambra Declares Public Holiday Nov 16 by Deadlytruth(m): 9:34pm On Nov 15, 2021 |
uduokirika1:The alleged crosscarpeting was actually more of alliances between parties. It was exactly like how Zik chose to align his NCNC with NPC at independence. So how was that connected to tribalism? Moreover Awolowo's rejection of Zik's bid to rule the Western Region was not motivated by tribalism but by his belief in need to adhere to the purpose for which the regions were created in the first instance..... which was self rule. As a federalist, it didn't make sense to Awolowo to see a person from another region trying to govern the Western Region when his own Eastern Region was there for him to govern. Awolowo said it was wrong in principle for a non-native of the Western Region (not necessarily a non Yoruba) to seek to become premier of the Western Region. There were non-Yorubas in the Western Region back then, e g. Binis, Ijaws, Urhobos, Esans, Okpameris, Etunos, Etsakos, Itsekiris, Isokos, Unemes, Owans and even the Igboid Aniomas, but Awolowo didn't object to the idea of any of these tribes ruling the Western Region since they were co-natives of it with the Yorubas. So how you read tribalism into a pro-federalist position of Awolowo is quite queer. |

Nnamdi Azikwe, I've learned, is not worth celebrating by our people. When we gain our freedom, he will be used as a case study to teach our children on what an ignorant but educated sabo is. |
