Good evening everyone, hope life treats you well?

I believe God would use someone here to talk to me. Am I kind of person that hardly forgives when hurt. No matter what you do, I won't forgive, even if I do.... I'd rather stop talking to the person.
There's this lady, we are neighbors actually,she accused all my 4 brothers for what they didn't Do and she never deemed it fit to apologize. I was hurt, I didn't talk because I felt she was bad news.
Now the thing is, I have been close to God but my mind keeps going to that lady. I Iove my space, I hated the fact that she embarrassed my brothers. It's said if a finger will take you to hell, u cut it off...... I think it was best I cut her off my life.
Am I right or........ I just don't know......

I might forgive and still not talk to her

Glad you getting closer to God so, First things first. If you don't forgive, how do you expect God to forgive you?
Forgiveness comes from your heart. And it's
a "knowing" you can feel and define when you either remember or have physical contact with such person(s). We are humans so literally forgetting is impossible. But you can forget in the sense that, your disposition towards her will not be affected because of prior encounters.

And for the cutting off... I think that's too far fetched. What's the proof you've truly forgiven her if you permanently cut her off? It portrays you are still hurt and controlled by the past events. But a boundary could be set mentally by you, for the sake of Peace ( this peace is for your own mind, so as not to bring up memories that will want to defile your new pure conscience). But if she proves to be a thorn, then avoiding her permanently is a good idea ( untill you know otherwise) because you gave your best so that peace( relationship btw you two) could reign.

God will not forgive you your sins if you refuse to forgive those who have wronged you.

9 So this is how you should pray:

What you must do is to forgive her. You don't have to talk to her or trust her or forget about the evil she's done to you, but as long as you've forgiven her, you'd be fine.

You may only consider renewing ties with her or trusting her again if she shows genuine repentance, because as long as she doesn't, that means that what she did before, she could do that and even worse again, since she hadn't shown remorse or repented from it.

But as I said earlier, what you owe yourself, not her, is forgiveness for what she did, because if you don't, you would only be hurting and causing harm to yourself, not her, so do it for yourself.

It's not easy but with God it is possible, so ask God to help you. Also start to sincerely pray for her, that God has mercy on her and help her to realize her wrong and to repent. That would help you overcome unforgiveness, because it is an act of forgiveness.
