Top 10 Most Educated Tribes In Nigeria

We’ll untangle the confusing, difficult, and unclear position of Nigeria’s most educated tribe below. Below is the list of the most educated tribes in Nigeria.

10. Isoko
This is a lesser-known minority group from the Niger Delta region that is actually well-educated. The Isoko people are an ethnic or cultural group who live in the Delta and Bayelsa states of Nigeria. They are a people from southern Nigeria, near the Niger delta in the northwestern part of the country. The 36 states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria include Delta State and Bayelsa State. There are noteworthy people in the education field, and the tribe is among Nigeria’s top ten most educated tribes.

9. Ibibio
The Ibibio are a group of people from southern Nigeria who live along the coast. They are predominantly located in the states of Akwa Ibom and Cross River; they are also from the Niger Delta region and are among the country’s most educated tribes.

They are linked to the Efik and Annang Igbo peoples. During Nigeria’s colonial period, the Ibibio Union petitioned the British for recognition as an independent nation.
8. Calabar
Calabar is a port city near the Cameroon border in southern Nigeria. Cross River State’s capital is located on a hill near the Calabar River and the Cross River delta. The city’s older portions, such as Henshaw Town, Duke Town, and the waterfront area, are filled with British colonial architecture. Duke Town Cathedral is one of Nigeria’s oldest cathedrals, dating back to the 19th century. The river may be seen from the surrounding cemetery. Calabar is ranked number eight on our list.

Although the comedic accent portrayed in Nollywood films has raised some doubt. We have a lot of educated Calabar folks who don’t have awful intonation.

7. Ijaw
The Ijaw people live in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, in the states of Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Ondo, and Rivers. As migratory fishers, they can be found in camps as far west as Sierra Leone and as far east as Gabon. The Ijaws have a population of 3.7 million people, according to various estimates. This group of people includes educated individuals. Through education, Ijaw people seek knowledge, self-improvement, and self-development. Ijaw has a significant number of educated people; suffice it to say, the tribe is among Nigeria’s most educated.

6. Itsekiri
The Itsekiri are a Yoruba subgroup from Delta State in Nigeria’s Niger Delta. The Itsekiris are people who live largely in the Delta State local government districts of Warri South, Warri North, and Warri southwest on Nigeria’s Atlantic coast. This is one of Nigeria’s most well-educated tribes.

The Tribes listed above are remarkable for having a large number of educated members. They are thought to be among the Top 10 Tribes in Nigeria with the most educated individuals, according to studies.

5. Urhobo
The Urhobos are people who live in southern Nigeria, near the Niger Delta in the northwest. The Urhobo ethnic group is the largest ethnic group in Delta State, one of Nigeria’s 36 states. The Urhobo language is spoken by the Urhobos. Rather than a location, the term Urhobo refers to a group of people. This group is well-educated and enters pastoral ministry, which means they have a higher level of influence over their followers.

4. Edo
Edo State is one of the Nigerian states, located in the country’s southern portion. When it comes to civilization, the Edo tribe is one of the most civilized in the country, owing to their high rate of illegal migration to other countries and other factors.

Someone can, nevertheless, claim to be cultured but uneducated. The Edo people are cultured and educated and can be considered among the country’s best-educated. Benin Metropolis, the state capital, and largest city in Nigeria’s fourth-largest city and the heart of the country’s rubber industry. The Edo people are Nigeria’s most educated tribe. Edo people can be found in almost every field. You’d be hard-pressed to find an Edo man who isn’t educated.

3. Hausa people
For Hausa tribes, I remove the cap. This tribe is among Nigeria’s most well-educated. Look about you and you’ll notice plenty of reasons why they should be ranked third. The Hausa people are the most powerful in politics. They understand politics, and leadership requires educated individuals. There are as many educated Hausas as there are illiterates in Hausa land, but the educated Hausas and their output outnumber the illiterates.

2. Igbo People
When it comes to Nigeria’s educated tribes, this group is the talk of the town. Academically and economically, the Igbo people are fortunate. Take it from me: an Igbo man in business is just like an Igbo man in school. He is hardworking and successful. Igbo people also have high number of graduates, learned people, and so on.

1. Yoruba
Yorubas are Nigeria’s most educated tribe. Yoruba people have a reputation for being in top positions. This indicates that they are well-educated. Education is the only way to become a senior executive in a large corporation where the Yoruba tribe is dominant. In Nigeria, the Yoruba people were the first to adopt western education, which caused them to recognize the importance of education early on. They are Nigeria’s most educated tribe.

The fulani has refused to allow the hausa to go to school. They Fear That R he hausa will realize their slavery status and fight for freedom if they get literate. The whole schools in hausa dominated areas has been closed down, using insecurity as excuse.

HATERS GONNA DIE.

The most educated tribe in Africa are majorly from western part of Africa.
1. YORUBA
Unarguably the most educated tribe in Africa, and even thought to be the most learned by some people. The Yorubas are indeed educated and you will agree with me that they are worth being among the top 3.
It has also be thought that this tribe has the highest amount of professors in Africa, Aside this, many top positions in large global companies are headed by the yorubas.

2. ASHANTI
The Ashanti are an Akan people and their tribe is the largest in Ghana. They are one of the few matrilineal societies in West Africa. Twi is the language of the Ashanti people and one of the most widely spoken languages in Ghana. It is a Ghanaian Akan dialect similar to Fante.
Prior to European colonization, the Ashanti people developed a large and influential empire in West Africa. They were a powerful, military, and highly disciplined people of West Africa. The Ashanti later developed the powerful Ashanti Confederacy or Asanteman and became the dominant presence in the region.
They are regarded as the 2nd most educated tribe in Africa.
3. BEDOUINS.
Bedouins refer to a group of tribes who live across Northern Africa. The Bedouin are a very ancient people. We can trace the origins of the Bedouin to the people who came to North Africa from the Arabian Peninsula. The Bedouin people are made up of a number of different tribes in many different regions of Egypt. Some Bedouin tribes are nomadic , meaning they travel from place to place in search of necessities like food, water, and shelter. In traditional nomadic tribes, homes consisted of tents that could be moved from place to place. Women were responsible for taking them down and then reassembling them. However, not all Bedouins are nomadic. Some live more sedentary lives, not moving from place to place.
Modern culture has also changed the way some Bedouins live. Today, many children do not wear the traditional dress, though women still dress very modestly. Since the middle of the 20th century, many Bedouins have settled in cities and adopted a modern lifestyle.

Guy, I don't like when people just type words just to hurt a particular tribe. It's wrong for you to say Fulani are not among the most educated tribes in Africa.

This is wrong! !!!

Please give them the respect they deserve. Pantami is now a PHD holder and he's from the north. The north is trying and we must give them credit for that.

This list is useless and senseless.

The Igbos are the most educated with a huge margin in Nigeria.

The right list should be.

Number one: Igbos then ______________________________________________________________________________ others.

There is no Igbo person that can't speak English language fluently unlike other tribes

Why can you be lying so brazenly on a public forum, yoruba has been climbing to b be educated because of Awilowo free education, but fulanis started going to obtain high education in London. It was only much later than the yoruba started learning how to go b to school.
