That means your car is primarily calibrated in KM and it should be from Canada or so. But you and i know that USA cars primarily calibrated in miles are more in Nigeria.

The Toyota thing is just an average Nigerian mentality. All car manufacturers produce good cars that are durable and also fuel efficient.

The difference between most cars in the class of Toyota range of cars are + 5 or -5%. Just dont buy a used and abused car else you will inherit someone else problem irrespective of the manufacturer of the car.

I'm currently having gear issues, my fibre burnt. It was allegedly replaced and till date my car has never been the same.

My car is having some issues.......at first it was one annoying noise from under the car any time the rear right wheel enters a gallop.....for two weeks, the mechanic could not find the fault......not until the car started waving hand on speed...
While checking the bowjoint, it was discovered that the rubber bushing of the rod has wear out, he replaced the rod, the noise stopped but the car started exhibiting another symptom........the steering wheel shakes vigorously sometimes when accelerating or breaking.

Depending on the car, it would have been better you replace it then.

But you should replace it as soon as you can afford to do that because it is obvious you are not currently enjoying it.

Have you done or did you do professional wheel balancing and alignment using the machine?

If you did and you are still experiencing that, please let him check your car's brake discs for repair or better still, outright replacement if you can afford it.

I went to alignment shop immediately the bow joint rod was change but after checking with his machine, he said the car alignment is intact.

That was because I went there first the moment the car started waving hand.

I service my car after every 5000 KM, servicing cost equivalent to 150k that includes oil, oil filter, plugs, air filter and service charge. We have good roads here so it doesn’t cost too much

If that's what you meant, it was said to have been replaced by the guy who worked on it. Initially it was not entering drive until when fired. After it was replaced it started entering but discharging gear. Now, the mechanic said the problem is now from gear Brain box which was recently also washed and serviced and it became worst. I'm just tired. The car is parked as I can't drive it.

Yes, bad brake discs could cause what you are facing.

Was wheel balancing also carried out? That is, all the tyres removed and run through a machine to detect bends on the rims and tyres for possible correction or replacement.
