They are just Shameless people with stinking inferiority complex that are trying to blackmail Anambra and Enugu for no reason.
In a bid to carry out their Shameless stupidity, they decided to soil the name of Ngwa with it.

Whatever they think people say about them, does it come close to the level of what they and many ignoramuses around us say about Abakaliki?
But do you see any person from Abakaliki moving around like these nonentities disgracing themselves?

That is what we call high self esteem and coming to terms with who someone really is.

Honestly I will advise many people to study Abakaliki.
After all the years of using Abakaliki to laugh off based on underdevelopment and the rest, today what is happening?
Is the same Abakaliki not giving many cities a run for their money?

Instead of these people to be working on how to clean up Aba, they are here throwing blames like little kids.

If they are waiting to hear is from us then I will help out, Aba is currently dirty and needs serious medical emergency not revisiting on your identity as a human being in 21st century.

All these years of Abakaliki tribulations, they never doubted their identity for once but took up the challenge. Today can Aba (except for the volume of commerce) compare with Abakaliki?

Thank you very much. I will repeat it again, when you come to Igboland and you see some people shouting to split check well they are chronic underachievers. With added low self esteem. They will create stories of how one Igbo group did one thing or how one state did another thing. All is rubbish. Inferior complex underachievers, all of them.

If it not the majority opinion of Ngwa people while then did we vote for Ikpeazu even though he is not the best candidate...
Please since colonial time we have never accepted the Igbo tag and identity we are the first Group in the old Eastern region to propose for a separate identity before the IKA, the Ikwerre and they Anioma people realize that the are not Igbos...
You can no longer censor our voice...
You voted for Ikpeazụ because you were in love with the dirtiness in Aba. The idea of someone cleaning it up sent shivers down your spines that you decided to continue in it.

For the record, Anioma never for once doubted their identity. The acronym was designed by Dennis Osadebe in 1951 to carve our the Igbo people from others in Mid-West Region.
Dennis Osadebe later played vital part in forming all the Pan Igbo organisations during his time.

After the war, the same Dennis Osadebe risked his life, reputation and resources to resurrect the Igbo Progressive Union (Google that)

Never you ever, try to attach the stupidity you people are displaying here with Anioma or the selfless war Dennis Osadebe fought for the Igbo nation.

Your stupidity is at par with the Ignoramuses in Ika and Ikwerre. And for the record you, ChinenyeN and the other don't represent the people of Ngwá. Until one prominent son of Ngwá agrees to this stupidity, you people are on your own looking for where to vent your frustrations.

PS: My comments are directed to you people suffering from inferiority complex in person and not to the good people of Ngwa

As simple as that.

Instead of them to be bringing up ideas of how to clean up Aba like other proud Ngwá sons and daughters are doing, they are talking rubbish.

Go to Ngwá Facebook page and see Ngwá people home and abroad bringing out amazing ideas to save the face of Aba and these nonentities are here discussing their own identity in their old ages.

If the identity of Ngwa is in question by atleast half of Ngwa people, the current Governor of Abia state, who is from the same Ngwa would have used his influence to address it. After all, didn't Wike take it upon himself to address the identity of Ikwerre, even to the extent of turning to a historian?

Like I said, if these people think their opinion is that of the masses, they should take it to the Governor who is also from Ngwá or to the celebrity politician we have now in Abia state, Mr Abaribe, who is also an Ngwa/Igbo Icon.

Anything other than that is utter stupidity and personal inferiority complex to the people of Anambra and Enugu reloaded.

I have never hidden my Ngwa identity and my non Igbo identity...
In 2019 I went to Kaduna south the Nsukka guys there were trying to speak Igbo to me USING THE NSUKKA LANGUAGE... i kept replying that I don't understand Nsuka...
And the asked me if I'm not Igbo...
I told them yes that I'm Ngwa...
The did not argue with me... They were like we are not surprised .. we have heard that before
I was very happy that Ngwa people are beginning to speak out .
Because off my stand on my identity the Nsukka guys there decided to spread propaganda about me and my people to the northerners (KORO PEOPLE)...
Luckily for me the northerners there were Christians ... And they told me that they don't need a prophet to reveal to them that these people does not like me and my people (Ngwa)...
The landlord of the house I was staying who is also Northern Christian .... Told me that he has now understood why THE SOUTH EAST DOES NOT AGREE IN ANYTHING..
WHY SOUTH SOUTH DOES NOT WANT TO JOIN THE SOUTHEAST.
WHY WE DON'T HAVE ONE VOICE AND ONE IDEOLOGY DESPITE THE FACT THAT WE SPEAK SIMILAR LANGUAGE...

I suggest you should visit an Ngwa village... and ask them if they are truly Igbo or Ngwa only...
You guys don't understand body language the facts that we don't actively participate in traditional Igbo groups,
the facts that most Ngwa people prefer to join Ngwa group than the general Igbo group,
the fact that we have refused to join the so-called WORLD IGBO CONGRESS should have sent a message to you but you guys are too ignorant to think...
Is the so called Lauretta Onochie up to the caliber of Ngozi Okonjo Iweala?

As for your second paragraph, what is the red cap still doing on Senator Abaribes head?
Your group is just a demonic group that doesn't in any way represent any Ngwá person home and abroad. You are just looking for kids to manipulate here but as God has it I am around to put a stop to that stupidity.

Now let me ask you a good question,

If the word "Igbo" or Igbo people is attacked in the Nigerian senate, which senator do you think will be the first to react?

Both of us know the answer. The answer is Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, a proud Igbo son from Ngwa sub group.

Ohooo! If people within the state cannot even differentiate then what are this people talking about Anambrarians doing this and Enugu doing that.

I cannot come here to tell lies na. It is very silly to imply Enugu of all places would be doing whatever. We know how non involved the average Anambrarian is about things happening so far away from home. So what is this rubbish we're reading here?

That's why I was disappointed that you guys who should navigate these places well couldn't tell that Juliusmalema real name Sani Haruna.

Abians are mainly division by tribes is very complicated for there to be too much tribalism, except normal politician rhetorics.

Those talk about Enugu and Anambra is rubbish. In the urban areas in Abia state, you can even hardly tell the Abians apart. They all use practically a central dialect within Aba. The language in Aba in pretty much neutral and a conglomerate of all Igbos.

4. If you are waiting for some kind of apology from me on behalf of Anambra for something I am sure is mere blackmail then I am sorry to disappoint you. I can't beg a mango tree to accept the fact the it is a mango tree, and I don't believe in coercing people to do something that is against their will. So in your next post, don't revisit those allegations but ask for suggestions on how you people can go on your independent status.

Typical. Igbo people always want someone else to take responsibility for malicious behavior done by other from their clan or ethnicity, but will never want to take responsibility themselves for the actions of their own kinsmen.

BKayy:
I suggest you first register with Abia state Government especially now that the Governor is also from Ngwa. I can help with the write up if you people want. That will also confirm that your ascertions is the mind of the majority in Ngwa.

I doubt Ngwa people want your help on this matter. Between the petitions of 1910 - 1940 and the current ongoing Aba State movement, it seems evident that those Ngwa people who truly want it are busy taking the initiative and have been doing so for a while. Thanks for your offer, but no thanks.

5. Like I said above, if all the lies peddled by you people is to blackmail other Igbo to beg or place you people above them as Lords then I am sorry to disappoint you once again, Mr ChinenyeN, ImembaN, Letu, Eduj and others, all I have to say is this: "IGBO esika, Igbo abụrọ anụ ana ata ekpuchi ọnụ"
I will be dammed if I grovel to anybody, any clan or any way you put it. Until you people prove to me that your decision is that of atleast 40% of Ndị Ngwá, I reserve the appropriate reciprocation to the great Igbo name you lots are messing with.

This thread is full of Ngwa people independently voicing discontent and suspicion of Igbo to vary degrees of intensity, and you want to dismiss four Ngwa people and talk about “lies peddled by you” as if they are the only Ngwa people thinking or feeling such things. This your statement above is disingenuous. At this point, I know that if I ever want to have a real discussion with an Igbo person about moving Igbo forward, it won’t be with you. Only "the real Igbo" was emboldened. The other one you did was your mind pointing out the fact for you.

You have been wasting a good amount of your time trying to justify lies in the name of resurrecting what never existed.
You have been looking for ways to somehow disintegrate the foundation that makes the wonderful Igbo Nation because you haven't come to terms with the inability of people like you to build up your home to the standards those you are trying to blackmail (Anambra and Enugu) have done theirs.

At this age, you people shouldn't be throwing blames or attempting the childish way of "if it doesn't go my way then there will be no game at all"
That is "if it is not Ngwa then there will be no Igbo at all" and build up your homes to your standard, work hard to rewrite the reputation you are ashamed of instead of running away from it.
Face your challenges like men and women

If you think somehow Ndigbo will babysit old people like you lots and convince you to accept who you are then you are dreaming.
As for those quacks you are fond of quoting their works, I will address those with time.

Finally, if this makes me disingenuous then the word" disingenuous" just got a new meaning which is "straight forward with the truth"

OK. Igbo women bearing their husbands surname is a modern Christian invention which was made up to align with the church tradition of issuing a marriage certificate. The certificate will then have the wife's name under the husband's surname.

But prior to Christianity, Igbo marriage didn't include eradication of the woman's identity. She retains many things which includes her surname.
If you go to the villages and interact with the older generations, especially those above 70s that didn't do Church wedding, when it comes to documentation you'll realise that the women when asked their surname will tell you her own fathers surname instead of the husband's own.

If you pay attention to the prayers from the wife's father during Igbo marriage ceremony, you will never hear any part where he will say that his daughter will be referred as another person's surname unlike the Christian wedding that ends with "You are now Mr and Mrs...."

Another interesting part of Igbo marriage custom in the past is that the prospective husband doesn't foot the bills of the marriage ceremony but the father of the bride. The father can't do all that for his daughter to forfeit his name na

Character of a typical ONYE NGWA revealed

Recall that the parable of talents that was told by Christ in the bible. Assuming they were Nigerians, it would be very easy to identify which among them is Ngwa. The one who hid his talent, accusing his master of reaping where he did not sow and how he is known to be a high – handed man must be NGWA. Ideally, ONYE NGWA looks at everybody around him with clinical suspicion, is always in the habit of betraying trust and deriding the confidence reposed in him. Just imagine this:

1. They will sell a portion of land to you and take a one off fee. As soon as they sense your business is sprawling, they would begin to demand for all sorts of miscellaneous fees including mandating you to contribute to the burial of their late parents, sponsoring their children’s trade efforts and funny enough demanding you contribute to their acquisition of new wives. The Nigerian with most no. of wives is NGWA not because he is enterprising but because he holds a degree in covetousness.
2. He politely requests that you give him a portion of the same land he sold to you (they sell lands more than any other group in Nigeria, that is why they have sold off everywhere in Aba and usually feel comfortable being tenants to their former tenants) for farming. Several years after, by reason of death or relocation; your children or relations will fight with their last breathe because you were generous to a cunning, crafty and lazy friend.

THEY ARE NATURALLY LAZY
Their women give themselves so cheaply to petty material things. It is only in NGWA LAND that a sixty year old woman will still be bleaching and proudly tell you that her IKO (boyfriend) works IN A COMPANY. These companies are medium scale blue chip companies that employ them (NDI NGWA) as casual workers, security men and unskilled labourers. They are not interested in adventure. If you argue they are not lazy, how come with massive markets in Ariaria, Ahia Ohuru, Ekeoha and Cemetry; Ngwa men are missing in action. What popular shop in any of these markets is owned by ONYE NGWA? How come they are always comfortable as menial workers and unadventurous fellows? Mbaise is popular in Aba for being the best butchers, Enugu controls the cattle market; Orlu holds sway in drugs and patent medicine, Onitsha is leading in importation, food vending and tobacco business, Ideato are gurus in tourism, Transport and Haulage, NDI OGBO had long made a mark in second hand clothes and importation etc. Just where does the lazy NGWA MAN come in? No where!

NDI NGWA ARE CHEATS AND UNFAIR BUSINESS PEOPLE
Their brothers (?) from UKWA would attest to this fact. NDI NGWA have always given the impression that the struggle is for UKWA NGWA. This false spirit of camaraderie fizzles out as soon as the spoils of war arrive. It automatically becomes OHA NGWA, systematically deleting the UKWA and replacing it with OHA. There will be no need overemphasizing this age long fact. See the page on THE FARCE CALLED UKWA NGWA. Have you wondered why of all the five or more times given UKWA NGWA the opportunity to produce the Deputy Governor, no single UKWA man had ever made the list. That is the NGWA man for you. Your union with them thrives as long as they are calling the shots or cheating you. Watch out, the man who you meet in a bar, who shamelessly begs you to buy him a bottle of beer is ONYE NGWA. That is their style.

THEY ARE NOT ENTERPRISING
It is believed that geographically and culturally, Aba metropolis belongs to NDI NGWA. In the same ESAU SPIRIT, they long traded their birthright over a pot of stew. Today, the docility of the NGWA MAN is made manifest with the composition of ownership and control of resources in NGWA LAND. In case you did not know:
1. All the hotels within Aba metropolis are owned by NDI OHUHU (a derogatory name coined by NGWA people for non – indigenes which unreasonably include UKWA people).
2. The tallest building in Asa Road is owned by a rich business man from Ideato Imo State
3. The best and most sophisticated Pharmaceutical shop in Aba is owned by a non – indigene
4. 98% of all fuel stations in NGWA LAND are owned by non – indigenes
5. It is hard to see a well equipped hospital that is 100% controlled by an NGWA MAN.
6. All they do is to hallucinate over how someday NDI OHUHU would abandon their properties for them, reenacting sad tales of the Nigerian Civil War

THEY ARE CUNNING AND CRAFTY
If you like, call them tricksters. Remember the OTU ONU debacle. Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe had failed in his bid to outshine Orji Uzor his master, the then Governor. Abaribe soon coined the famous OTU ONU (meaning he is advocating for a single term for political aspirants). That was his own method of displaying the cunning character of the NGWA MAN. He was given a single term as Senator. At the expiration of his first term, he also cunningly returned. Even when an UKWA man Chris Nkwonta reminded him of his pact with the people; Abaribe did everything (yes, everything) to return to the Senate. Where lies the honor of NDI NGWA?

Some have jocularly referred to them as being generous. That is being economical with the truth because by the time NDI OGBO were perfecting the art of importing second hand clothes and stockfish, when ANAMBRA people were dominating the tobacco business, just like the Maduakos were building hotels, NDI NGWA were land speculators and sellers; willfully taking the rear seat in the scheme of things. That is their style of generosity. Interestingly, they sold off even their OKPULOR and gardens to a more introspective NDI OHUHU. The result is what you see today – they have been relegated to the background.

No man gains anything by tarnishing the humanness of another.

If you cannot help/improve a man, the least you could do is to leave the man as he is.

The content you put up here is entirely spiteful, undeserving and disastrous.

Don't repeat the woes of the Tutsis and Hutus.

Every life is sacredly precious and important.

Close eyes over who is who, whether black or white.

Humanness first!!

Bruv..... I have read quite a lot and this thread is a disgrace. I am a full NwaAbia......That guy is talking absolute rubbish and Abia is rooted IN IGBO NATIONALISM.

if u want to know what my people think or how they think, go to their fcebook groups or Igbo Facebook groups and not faceless platforms like this. please, stop making conclusions on one person's delusions.

I saw this thread through another thread opened by someone quoting ChinenyeN or posting screenshots from his/her quotes and passing it off a general opinion of Umuabia.

You can ask me anything about Abia people.

Nowadays the groom is milked for how elegant the ceremony would be smh.
When the wife die, where should she be buried, her husband's home or her father's home? In accordance to our old tradition

Husband's House after her people have seen her corpse.
That is when the bride price will be completed.
The Children then completes the bride price and settle the witness (Onye ụkọ / onye akaebe) with one life Goat or cow (nowadays) depending, for services rendered.

The witness in Igbo culture is similar to "best man" in English weddings but the difference is that unlike the best man, the Igbo witness settle marital problems of the family until he is no longer needed. That's why he must be settled on that day.

1. Most people in Anambra and Enugu don't actually know Ngwa as a clan. Most think it is a town like every other part (same with Ikwerre except that we don't actually know Ikwerre like we do for Ngwa). Then the rest don't even know what it is.

2. Anambra don't do clannish stuff, that's why three Gubernatorial candidates for the three major parties can come from one local Government and nobody gave a meaning to it until the Nigerian divisive media tried to fan meaning into it but we didn't give a fuss.
In Anambra, you'll never hear "Umu Nri, Anaedo, etc in serious decisions except for history purposes, if someone is from Nnewi he says so, your from Enugwu Ukwu you say so etc. Nothing like Clannish sentiments

3. I have always been a campaigner that being Igbo is not the only thing required to be in Alaigbo as a country. So if you people's opinion is the opinion of the masses in Ngwá, so be it, Ngwá can be an independent Nation. You can't move forward when some section think they are being cheated. Mr ChinenyeN you heard that? I totally endorse it.
If you people are not here to drag Ndigbo down, then I beseech you lots to start making preparations on how to create awareness of your independent status. At least the best you people can do is to leave peacefully without much commotion for old time sake.

I suggest you first register with Abia state Government especially now that the Governor is also from Ngwa. I can help with the write up if you people want. That will also confirm that your ascertions is the mind of the majority in Ngwa.

I didn't ask and neither do I expect your apology.
I made my opinion clear, if igbos do not stop this sucidal policy of deriding fellow tribes ,then there won't be an Igbo to fight for soon.

Is it a lie that pals from mbaise,Ngwa ,Wawa and some others are habitually insulted by fellow igbo's even till today ? There have been progress but it's appallingly poor.

I won't say more than this
