What is there to fear in Lagoon? I can swim and dive anywhere in that river, yes you heard me right, the lagoon is a river. Divers like me can reach the riverbed and rescue victims with the necessary equipment. Lagos State Government can consider me for a job in its rescue team.

As a certified lifeguard I can tell you that water is not deep, I swim there , but you wouldn’t see anything under during rainy season,

All the water around Lagos is highly polluted due to the high population. The subsiquent amount of waste deposited in the lagoon, sea, ocean.
Drive towards Badagry, the further you go towards cotonou the fresher, clearer and cleaner the water. Infact the water becomes bright blue you wonder if you are in Africa.

I'm an underwater welder, actually visibility is not important when diving scuba, because you'll always have a flashlight with you, the depth is the real deal, any depth from 100ft is nightmarish.

Very true, you see fishermen casting fishing nets while standing inside the water,and you'd also see sawmill workers rolling timbers out of water.

For divers, feasibility will be a major issue when underneath but there are parts of the ocean along Badagry and Ibeju coastline that scuba diving can he fun to practice.

I came into Lagos yesterday and I drove through Third Mainland Bridge today. The water looked so brownish which left me wondering, can divers enter this water? If they go under, can they see anything?

Lolz. It's not so deep. If you look towards unilag zoo, you'd see something like a lighthouse built a few meters away from the bridge painted white for docking. Fisher men also erect some aquatic plants around to catch fish. If it were so deep, those plants wouldn't have stayed.

People dey dive go under the water with out equipment, u see does people that live on top that water dey are very good, one day I saw somemen with one small boy going under the water to get send without using oxygen tank I ask the boy is age he said 14
