After birth of my DD till 2 months old my supply was very good. I could pump 240mls from 1 breast and my DD was thriving weight wise. But after the 2nd month my weight increased rapidly by 10kg and milk production reduced drastically. It was a struggle to complete the 6month EBF.
My DD is now 11 months and although I'm still breastfeeding her, milk supply isn't my priority for taking inositol. I have tried everything else in the books to lose the extra weight and nothing has happened yet so I'm trying inositol to help lose weight.
*I have pcos and only inositol helps me get pregnant/lose weight. *
Oh okay. Thank you mama will look for it if i can get to 6 month breastfeeding i will be really glad . This just us getting to 2 month and its already a struggle.

Please advice,
My baby is almost 4 months old. We noticed that she breaths deep and sometimes fast almost like she is stressing. We are curious because asides this symptom, she is perfectly fine. What do we do?

We tried comparing with neighbour's baby but hers is faster and deeper.

Note: We've run some tests on her and all looks okay. (EUCr, FBC, MP). Please what do you thnk?

Please no.
Full cream milk can start at 1 year old, if you don't want to continue with the age appropriate milk, please

I am sincerely down, just put to birth 4 days ago. After 1year plus of trying to get pregnant , took in, husband stressing me emotionally during pregnancy and having an extreme high bp. Delivering through cs eventually. Now the major problem, after delivery my husband called my family members and his. They all came to hospital no privacy for me or my child, eventually i was discharged. I don't make any decisions of my own, my husband sibbling wants to make all decisions for me. My room is fully occupied with them, i can't rest because of them. I just found out that i am having spinal headache from the injection that was giving to me during cs, i am in serious pains, they feel i can't handle my child as a newbie. I am just so tired and confused. They won't even let me change diapers. I know they are helping me out but i want to bond with my child* crying*. I can't tell my husband, he would feel i am over reacting or don't want his siblings around. We have other rooms, they can be there and let me bond with my child at times . Maybe i am having trauma or over reacting. Literally crying now

You're not alone in this Sis, I can't say I know exactly how you feel but I can relate. Just take it easy with yourself.
I had to shout at people onetime and they got the Memo and gave me space. Wouldn't advice you to do same cos you know your inlaws better but please take it easy with yourself, emotions and all.

Cry all you want too, and tell Hubby too okay?
Na your guy, he suppose understand.
You'd be very fine darling.
Congratulations love

After much review I found this article beneficial to the pregnant women and those expecting, it's about How to avoid vagina injuries at childbirth.

Below is a research done by Nurse Nma, a mother of two, a trained registered nurse/midwife but currently working as a nurse educator.

She has managed to avoid childbirth injuries at her second childbirth after suffering a 3rd degree episiotomy cut in her first childbirth.

The amazing thing is that she has helped over 250 mothers (majority of which was their first attempt at childbirth) avoid these life/ marriage threatening injuries using the steps that worked for her.

From her report she concluded that by avoiding vagina injuries at childbirth:

>You will be able to reduce the time of labour by more than half

>Your child won't be stressed out because stresses induces to babies at childbirth can cause the baby dying shortly after birth and some lead to medical conditions

>Some of the medical conditions could be deformity

>Reducing labour time can save you from protracted labour pain

>You will be protecting your marriage as well.
Many people have testified to its effectiveness too.

If you are interested, click here to learn the how to avoid vagina injuries at childbirth directly from Nurse Nma -

I wish all pregnant women good luck

Oats, pap, water (lots of water). Drinking water just before I pump also helped. Reach out to livialactationtreats on IG for lactation cookies and the rest, her products are very effective. She is a Nairaland Mama...Rofemiguwa

Also breastfeed frequently, the more you nurse, the more breastmilk you produce.

Then try not to stress about it a lot.

There will definitely be an improvement.

No she’s not!! Many people, including me hate people being in our personal space for too long. I like my space a lot and get anxious once I sense people eroding it. That’s including times when I have had babies and when I lost people dear to me. I deal with things solitarily. That’s my way. Don’t tell her to be glad people are around her, that’s really insensitive.

I have been in your shoes.. I didn’t want any visitors either; I only wanted very close people like Mum and sisters. You are not over reacting at all. It’s due to postpartum hormonal changes. Try and talk to your husband.

First tell your husband to get his mother off your neck. The stress will affect your flow.
Eat well, drink lots of water, relax, breastfeed on demand and pump after breastfeeding. Lots of hot pap, oats and keep taking your vitamins.

Hello mamas, trust we are doing well. Please I need your assistance.

My baby will be 6 months old on Thursday and she has been exclusively breastfeeding since 5 days after birth (she was on SMA gold when I was not lactating yet). Because I introduced bottle early, she stopped sucking directly so I’ve been pumping to feed. My breast milk supply was good in the first 4 months and I was able to freeze some of the milk, however, after 5 months, my supply dropped and now we’re completely out of breast milk including the frozen ones.

We are currently relying only on what I’m able to pump in a day (only about 600mls) which I feel is too small for her age. I tried re-introducing SMA gold but she rejected it. Please can someone suggest an affordable formula that tastes like breast milk so that I can compliment or is 600mls in a day okay?

PS: We will be starting solids on Thursday when she clicks 6 months.

Thanks for the responses

Congratulations to your family and than God for safe delivery. Please let your wife keep nursing the baby even if nothing is coming out. As the baby sucks, it will stimulate milk let down. She can also massage her breast with towel soaked in hot water. Also, let her eat oats and pap, take lots of water and rest, some people recommend fresh palm wine too.

Finally, please do not give your baby water until he/she starts eating solids.
