Instead He is now getting even more consistent and showing levels of versatility that Trent will never be capable of.

The productivity of James most recently is him as a wing back not as a full back in a back four. That means he has license to attack not worrying too much about his defensive responsibility.
While Trent is a right back who is arguably liverpool's Creator in chief.
