I just heard that Abubakar Malami wrote to EFCC to restrain Gov. Obiano from traveling abroad under the bogus allegation that he is corrupt!

The type of criminal now running Nigeria as attorney general is perplexing!

They will never succeed, NEVER, including those going to court and those planning to, against our Governor-Elect Prof. Soludo.
They will all fail woefully and shame themselves

The Quota SAN is still embarrassed by how Obiano thwarted their evil plans to rig Anambra for APC. Let him continue running mad. No one is afraid of their useless EFCC that is yet to win a single corruption case in 8 years. 2023 is already a year from now.

Before Fayose left Ekiti govt house, they were shouting "we will arrest and prosecute him". He submitted himself the day he left office, and they are still shopping for evidence up till today. So it's not a new thing. Obiano should be ready for them by now.

Obiano doesnt have any business with EFCC, it is the useless Quota SAN Malami that wants to use federal power to settle scores after Obiano embarrassed him after his state of emergency declaration statement on Anambra, a guise they wanted to use to rig APC into power. Let Malami do his worst.

Talented Filmaker Benneth Nwankwo captures the of Awka like never seen before.

What do you know Awka for?

See how greenery helps to improve the ambience and aesthetics of a city, reduce dust and clean up carbon dioxide in the air (the last one you can’t see with the naked eye, but trust me....it’s happening)!

Looking at the pics, one can notice some plots and public establishments either have overgrown and unattended greenery (bushes), or have left their grounds to have bald patches of bare earth which is unattractive as well as helps in spreading dust! In this day and age of drone pics, for Anambra to chawapu (as Val Ozigbo might say) a law should be enacted which stipulates that all owners of private and public lands (whether occupied or not) should grass over their grounds with carpet grass that should be maintained regularly! If they can’t do this either because they’re out of the state or don’t have the time/equipment for it, then the state or local gov’t concerned can tend to their property for them, every fortnight for a small fee! This would not only help Anambra to chawapu, but would also employ lots youths for the job!

Exactly the type of intimidation, gangsterism and lawlessness that they want to bring to Anambra state. But God pass them.

Malami should continue abusing his office and plotting the removal of judges in Nigeria like he is an untouchable gangster. In time, he will account for all his actions.

Comewhatmay... the good news is that APC did not win Anambra. They would have concentrate more in fighting the past government than developing Anambra just like we are seeing in Imo state and Buhari led FG.

Much ado about nothing. Malami is a small boy. Obiano is bigger than than him. This is the only thing he can do to Obiano - get his boy at Efcc to release this rubbish statement to all media outlets. We know why he is annoyed but Buhari can never choose him over Obiano. There is nothing Efcc has on Obiano. Nothing at all. On March 18 2022, Obiano will be chilling in Texas with Soludo in charge of Anambra.

I repeat, Malami is a small boy.

i remember the pictures below last year and how i totally doubted that the project would be completed within 18 months as the contract stipulated. Behold, it was done in 15 months!!!

Bros,

The airport has been completed and is ready for commercial service. How "completed was PH airport or Enugu airport when they were opened for commercial use? An airport is ready when the critical elements of an airport are ready.. Which are;
1. Runway,
2. Control Tower
3. Fire & Safety Department
4. Emergency Clinic
5. Perimeter fencing
6. Terminal building and basic utilities as toilets, seats, lighting, carousels.

To mention landscaping and avio bridges, escalators, wall interior decorations, internal shops or even car parks which aren't even present in many so-called International airports in Nigeria as criteria to decide an airport is ready is ludicrous.

By the way, Chicago's O'Hare International airport is currently working on trains that transport people between its terminals. Currently, you have to exit one terminal and enter a bus shuttle to get to the next terminal. So in your criteria, Chicago airport is not ready to receive commercial flights because it currently has a huge construction project there building underground trains to link its terminal buildings?

I am actually very happy that they are not showing any more activities at the airport. Those people that shut down the airport should go there and verify things instead of gleaming on social media gossip sites and nairaland to justify their illegal closure of the airport. I wish the state will reinstate their no-pictures order so that mischief-makers will stop posting anything about the airport on social media to mislead people and justify the unjustifiable closure.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd has contracted Innoson Vehicle Motors (IVM) to produce Condensed Natural Gas cars, the indigenous car manufacturer has said.

The Chairman of Innoson Group, Innocent Chukwuma, also revealed that the company is ready to manufacture electric cars.

Chukwuma disclosed the mega deal with the state owned company while commenting on the race to face out fossil fuel.

The Nigerian government had unveiled plans to sponsor the conversion of one million cars to run on gas. Gas is Nigeria’s transition fuel.

The NNPC Ltd, Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari, had announced in December 2020 that the Ministry of Petroleum will provide the structure for the free conversion services to enable automobiles switch from premium motor spirit to gas.

Speaking to local station, Arise TV, Chukwuma revealed that IVM has been contracted to manufacture cars for the NNPC Ltd.

But the businessman did not reveal the details of the deal.

This is an excellent development but it is too small in land area to massively transform Anambra state as desired.

Similar quality of new housing development of liveable estates led by the example of AMC should be expanded and started in two or three more locations in the state.

Perhaps a similar initiative is adopted for building the international Airport City and a similar development for the waterfront city on the bank of the River Niger/Omambala River for the development of hotels and resorts to attract tourists and holidaymakers to that part of the state. Since Air Peace already indicated an interest in building a waterfront hotel to house its expatriates in the MRO, they should be approached as core investors in the development of the waterfront city.

I quite agree with you that more of this type of development should be replicated in other parts of the state. However I disagree with you over the size. The original size of AMC has been altered and more hectares of land added to the original plan, making it almost a full city scale.

The size of Awka Millennium city is large enough to transform not just Anambra as a whole but also the entire southeast real estate sector.

I think they were given 100 hecters of land for the whole project which is small, unless maybe they will expand to phase II and add additional land to the project

Gov Obiano really scored F9 in media. I wonder why he doesnt care about media optics. If some Governors did what he did in Anambra by now the entire country would be begging the governor to be president. Look at what media did to Umahi despite performing far less than Obiano.
The incompetent James Eze should have been sacked long ago to focus on his poetry and literature, he's just very useless. Imagine, the usual Peter Obi propaganda camp led by Valentine Obienyem who have been behind all the media attacks on Gov Obiano posted a fake article on Punch about EFCC investigating Obiano due to 17billion paris club and yet no rejoinder from the governor's media teams till now.

I think appointing an Enugu person as media aide in Anambra is the biggest mistake of Obiano administration. It's not yet late, he can use his remaining months to fire and rejig his media team

I think you got the bolded statement so wrong. The Abubakar Malami sponsored smear campaign against Obiano's record using the dubious EFCC publication is a mere political vendetta against the governor. Everyone knows that the goal here isn't for the EFCC to find the supposed "billions" Anambra had that were stolen by Obiano. They all know Anambra does not have the so-called " hundreds of billions" especially when viewed against the cost of the projects so far achieved in Anambra. After all, they are the same people disbursing VAT and FAAC all these years. They also know how much it cost them to just resurface the 3 kilometers Enugu airport runway, and how much the new Enugu, PH or Kano terminal buildings cost theFG. Not to mention car park, water facilities, ILS systems, runway lights, furnishing of the terminal building, 5.7-kilometer airport access road that were already completed at Anambra Intl. airport, Umueri. So, it is clear that the target here is to tarnish Obiano's sterling achievements and somewhat force him to reconsider the pressure to join APC.

Your insinuation that because James Eze was from Enugu he was not loyal to Anambra state is very distasteful. Everyone knows James served Anambra with distinction and loves the state very much! I know many Anambra people that have zero loyalty or love for Anambra state even here in the USA. There so many Anambra people here that would only see Katsina or Kaduna or Abuja as their first choice destination because they lived there or some crappy logic. They have all sorts of stereotypes about Igboland that you'd seriously doubt if they were Igbo at all if you didn't hear what they were saying in Igbo language. So, please don't attack loyal sons of Igboland working for Anambra's progress. The fact that some of us come from the state does not automatically mean that every Anambra person is loyal to the state or even committed to its progress at all.

I don't mean it in the way you are taking it, what I mean is he looks weak in confronting Obiano critics and I think its maybe because he's not from the state. He lacks the boldness and activeness required for the job.
Everyone knows Malami is behind the initial EFCC nonsense with Obiano but the Punch article was a sponsored article from the Peter Obi camp. Obiano has been facing media attacks from this camp for close to 8 years now, one would expect James Eze to be very active against this camp because at the end of the day they will succeed in decieving the gullible against his principal.
The commissioner of Information only woke up during the last election and is trying with his statements but James is not active anywhere. He has not even made any public comments on the EFCC issue with his principal. The Punch news story should have had an official response from the govt but none till now. Ifeanyi Aniagor who used to try was dropped I dont know why.

Great news!

The Anambra State Housing Development Corporation should also partner with major real-estate developers who have announced their interest in building modern estates in viable locations in Nigeria. For instance, only the Lagos state government had partnered with TAF Homes after the CEO Mustafa Njie made public their desire to expand building modern affordable homes in other Nigerian states and cities apart from Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The Anambra State Housing Development Corporation and the state investment promotion agency (ANSIPPA) should target these types of experienced real-estate investors to build modern homes for sale to the public within sections of the Awka capital territory.
