This is no cable stay bridge...the pier and cables are for facade enhancement, they are not load bearing.

I don't really understand why Nigeria leaders lack vision for a greater nation like ours!

What would be the economy advantage of this bridge rather than building small and medium size industries around the state. We are not ripe for this kind of bridge in a nation where maintenance culture is not practiced or valued.
It is like it will be use to generate revenue but they would keep budgeting money year in and year out for an invincible maintenance, we really need a visionary leaderships not visionary thieves in the name of leaders!

Lagos has a suspension bridge. The nation has not fainted as a result. The Akwa Ibom bridge is actually job creation. Building infrastructure is one way governments create jobs. Why don’t u suggest which industry u think that area can accommodate and how it will be self sustaining?

Nonsense..is that how cable bridge looks..check the base now u will see that it is supported by pillars. Cable bridge of that length should have only two Pillers at each end.and doing cable welds from the side of the bridge to the Pillers at both ends..this one looks like what obiano did at Anam ra and called it cable bridge
