Which culture practices this? My friend is a paramedic and uses his mirrors all the time in his job....pls explain the culture and the people that practice this.

Yea, also if a person dies in a house, they did cover or remove mirrors in d room he/she died to avoid even d living from looking at it. It was also believed that if a living person glanced at d mirror in a room or house of a deceased person, the person would follow suite.

A mirror has infinity resolution,so it can pick up any reflection in spiritual or physical form. A dead person's spirit still roams around where the body is and since not every eyes has the gift of seeing metaphysical,the mirror serves as gate way to seeing things ordinary eyes cannot see. Don't try it if you don't want to see what you can't withstand. For ambulance conveying corpses,they have been embalmed with palm fronds and other spiritual stuffs that chase spirit away.

Year 1992/1993 we moved to the village cuz my dad was seriously ill(spiritual attack) one day,a man that died in Lagos was brought home for burial and being a small and quiet village without electricity as at then,there were hardly activities so this burial attracted lots of people because they were going to put on gen and electric bulbs which only happen few times a wealth person is having any form of celebration and venue was just opposite my maternal grandfather's house. My Aunt was fixing someone's hair outside that unfateful afternoon and they just rushed there leaving their combs, mirror and other stuff at the veranda outside.
I came outside to do something I can't recall and saw the mirror,took it and was playing with it,looked at myself,the ceiling of the house and a silly ideal just enter my head to look at people at the burial place with the mirror while backing them.. it was all fun till I saw the men carrying the casket into the house. A man on pure white cloth like garment,with cotton wool on his nostrils was sitting on top of the casket, stretching out his hands forward. Cold enter me immediately,I screamed and almost had convulsion,my grandma (of blessed memory) who was already at the passage of the house coming out hastened her steps,too the mirror from me and rushed me inside. I was seriously ill for many weeks and spiritual stuffs had to be done with many many razor blade incisions marked all over my body. Couldn't close eyes to sleep at night or stay alone or sleep on the edge of bed. It wasn't funny that year. I was around 7 or 8 yrs old then.

This is not superstitious in any way,my elder brother had thesame experience when my mom died. He saw my mom in the mirror that was her room when she was alive.He screamed so loud and we rushed to the room and saw him on the floor. It was terrible experience that he had .

it's my personal experience,that incident caused what made stopped bed wetting at a much older age because I was just too scared of doing anything alone without being escorted. I was practically dragged from d jaws of death,wore one particular charm around my neck for years..
