You're right about the testing. Higher tests will prove a higher incidence, compared to a country like Nigeria that doesn't really do much testing and vaccinating.

I don't know why the UK is always on about the South African variant. It seems unwarranted, because there are other variants and so many countries crippled by it. Perhaps there's something political about it.

It's interesting to note from the statistics you've shown, that covid isn't that deadly. Thankfully. With the HIV/AIDS prevalence, one would've expected more casualties. But this has been more good news out of Africa. Dark continent winning this one.

So those long lockdowns we endured were not enough? The tests we conducted we not enough still?
