This is very nice.

But wait oh, is this not the airport that was built within the intervals of civil war??.(I stand to be educated if it's not)

The achievement of BIAFRANS during the war clearly shows the level of higher iQ they have. She must have gone far with development which would have challenged neighboring nations to fasten their belts.
But here we are today, the only aspect Nigeria sends a great challenge to it's neighbours is in Banditary, corruption and terrorism.
So much for one Naijeria
If Biafra had sailed in 1967, Nigeria would have been a National and geopolitical relic in comparison. The civil war elaborated the ingenuity of the Igbos.

Most of Our current airports have very low patronage how do we expect airstrips to handle serious business. This is another waste which we are very good at

'One Nigeria' is not just holding Igbos down, but is holding down other achieving ethnic grps as well! There is no way one can look at the likes of the Asian Tigers (Singapore, South-Korea, etc) and proudly assert that we're doing well! You (not you Sergio) wallow in a false sense of security and accomplishment if you think Nigeria is progressing and is not restricting the likes of the Igbo, Yoruba, Ijaw, Efik-Ibibio-Annang, Edo, Itshekiri, Uhrobo, etc, from firing on all cylinders!

Nigeria wouldn't have survived beyond a year if Biafra had succeeded! For starters, the Yoruba wouldn't have bothered staying behind to experiment compatriotism with the North....you can take that to the bank! And when the Yoruba leave, there's even less chance of the then Middle-Belt remaining as well!

Welcome to Nigeria where our major Projects include

Construction and designs of Overhead Bridges

Construction of Airports related
Construction of Rails

How many citizens will be employed to monitor our bridges or work in the airports/train station...

Create millions of jobs
Our population is fuving growing..
Drugs, illegal acts, Cyber crimes are most common among our youth "leaders of tommorow"...

Create millions jobs angry
Why can't we learn from China
Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the world's largest developing country has achieved a complete eradication of extreme poverty, raising more than 770 million poor people from poverty since its reform and opening up in late 1970s.6
Those ones don't require much thinking.
The ones that require much thinking are people-impacting policies and execution, setting up strong institutions that build a sustainable society in the long run among others.

We have very few politicians or government officials who can engage in such. Hence, more bridges, roads (rarely new construction or layout/master plan design), trains, dashing money etc.

I didn’t factor the Oduduwa movement. So yes, they too would have evolved into something greater than the original iteration.

What about Babi Airstrip in Obudu, Cross River State? Since Gov. Ayade decamped to APC, what exactly has he lobbied from the fed gov't to his state?

The airstrip can always be used by small cargo planes, to carry goods and different products, instead of letting trucks go by road and the truck drivers end up being kidnapped by killer herdsmen.

On paper that sounds great but it is not practical even for rich countries to replace trucks with cargo planes. It's more than 10x the cost. That's why there is no business for it

Just to add to my ealier comments, to transport 30 tons of goods from lags to onitsha by truck, would cost about 300k to do the same by plane would cost 2 to 3 million. As a business man which would you go for? Cargo aircraft is used for super expensive or time sensitive products or packages. There is a reason why most international cargo is done by ship and only a slim percentage is carried out by planes.

Instead of that drunk of a governor called Willie Obiano to build Anambra airport there.. He took it down to his side.

It will be nice if the Federal govt will achieve this project. At least If i could land there and get to oba within 45mins than use Anambra airport and still spend like 4 hours to get to Oba. I've said it, It's better i land at Asaba airport than Anambra airport ..Hiss

WhatCanIsay:
Uli Airstrip was constructed locally during the Biafra war. During that time, it became the busiest airport in Nigeria working day and night. The funny thing is that at night planes even land at the thick of darkness. The operation there was highly professionally managed to the extent that the foreign pilots that landed there commended the miracle of its operation.

One of my clients worked there as a youth during the Biafra war, he related stories of a lot that happened there... nostalgic!

Btw, I know and you know that the FG won't do anything to rehabilitate there.
