I wrote here that night that Olu Phillips of Channels TV was at the scene reporting live immediately after the incident and he never reported a single death and I remember his camera showing the scene and interviewed some protesters. I was the first to state here that there's no death in Lekki because as at the time they claimed that dead bodies littered Lekki,Olu Phillips of Channels TV was live on air there at the toll gate!
I went online and started seeing corpses and even dead bodies loaded in hilux buses as those killed in Lekki at the same time Olu Phillips of Channels TV was at the scene

You can make excuses all you want. Realistic and pragmatic Nigerians, who lives the reality of our nation, not diasporans disconnected from what Nigeria has become, know the truth.

The truth is that it cannot stand anymore to promote the old myth that Nigerian leaders are oppressive and evil monsters to be dismissed always while ordinary Nigerians are always innocent , blameless and truthful.

The reality is that ordinary Nigerians today are just as bad as their leaders if not worse.

They are just as manipulative, dishonest, callous, lawless, corrupt, deceptive, criminal-minded, scamming and exploitative of the gullible.

For a pragmatic person like me, it therefore becomes about what can be proven and not what a leader tells me to believe or what an #EndSARS panel member or 'activist', like Deji Adeyanju or Reno Omokri, insist is the truth.

These days leaders have their agenda of deception. Followers too have theirs. Both are just as determined to discredit the other using any tool they can.

For example, why believe get-rich-quick #EndSARS panel member who may have been bribed and compromised by politicians, to scam Nigerians and make political opponent look bad?

Just look at how personally dishonest and unprincipled Nigerian activists, like Omokri and Adeyanju etal, are to note are folks eager to use Nigerians in promotion of personal agendas.

Today everyone is trying to control the narrative, even with lies and propaganda, to make the other guy look bad in pursuit of a personal agenda.

It is sensible ordinary Nigerian who must ensure they are not used by any one and any side in a nation where it is now very difficult to trust the integrity and uprightness of anyone.

Let's simply work with facts presented by both sides.


So far, looking at what can be proven alone and shunning sentiments , Lagos is winning that stand-off for me and your excuses are untenable.

I can never fail to come forward over the death of a friend, let alone a beloved family member, because I am "scared".
