I tell people, this doesn't just happen. The vehicle must have given the owners some signs but trust Nigerians with our ‘I can manage it’ attitude.

I use Honda 3 years e no pull.i dont know how people use theirs,all I know is dat honda is not for everyone. Use yamasida ball joint,if you hear noise,inspect the legs.and you are good to go.for the 3years k used the honda I changed ball joint 3 times,imagine so so cheap fix

You guys always keep shouting OEM ball joint as if that's a permanent solution when the even one that came out of the factory with the car can giveway . You need more than just an OEM replacement

So what then is the fix

Make everyone quit story. Honda is good, but that leg pull out is a major Bug in some Honda products if not all.

If you live in Abuja where there are smooth roads, u can use Honda without stress, but if na pothole and undulating roads u dey drive, guy run away from Honda, before e go embarrass u for center of the road

The major cause is this problem is usually inferior low grade China parts into the Honda parts market, reason being it's high profit margin to my Igbo brothers. As often as you service your car, ask the mechanic check on on the legs and also close attention to the noise coming from the legs
When replacing try to replace with OEM
Also While turning be mindful not to always turn the steering to the last possible angle this helps the shaft too.

I don't think there is a place where I mentioned that the OEM won't give away. Just like every other part of the vehicle, it wears over time. I think what the OP is complaining about here is that it pulls frequently. Perhaps OP has been replaying with the inferior parts. What we talking about here is something that can stand the test of time.

nobody is disputing the fact that it happens to honda accords more than Toyota, am a honda fan.it happens to accords not just all honda.the same way toyota shocks are changed every 3months ,and plastic dashboards.all cars have their setbacks.know this and know peace.i rather change ball joints 2times a year than changing shocks in toyota every 3months.incase you dont know balljoint is a cheap fix compared to changing shocks in your beloved plastic toyotas

If I were a Toyota fan I would've engaged you further cos it appears the inferiority battle is between the 2 cheap car brands. Make una enjoy changing una shocks and ball joints jare. This is a case of the devil and the deep blue sea ba ruwana

Take it to welder, that they should add almost 5layers of steel to the ball joint circle instead of rubber with gum,it should be very thick like fufu and hard. At least it will last u more than 9months. I have seen camry ball joint pulled off,lexus es and IS same tin,benz,tundra,sequioa, any car is prone to ball joint as long as u are climbing pot holes daily. Welder knows what to do. It will cost ant 2 to 3k to do better welding,and secondly change your mechanic, be there and make sure they tight everything well,not using 1 bolt ,when ball joint has two holes. Mechanics both young and old wil want to damage your car.

Unlike Toyota, Honda doesn't tolerate abuse.

People who don't have consistent funds, time and diligence for routine maintenance should avoid Honda.

Do you know how long the OEM lasted before it gave up. Imagine a 2003 Honda accord today, thats an 18yr old ball joint. Buy OEM and you will never have a failure or at least till 2039 if the car is still drivable. I am still driving with one of my factory ball joint which was checked today in preparation for a journey tomorrow.

Agreed, the ball joint in an Accord is a very critical part, those who neglect it should not be surprised.

Simple stuff,Honda is not for everyone,sell it and buy the kind of car you can maintain, even if the four tyres of Honda pulls out,people will never stop buying and using Honda cars,the leg pulling is presently the most boring car discussion,there are other brands go for it so simple.
