You see this striker thing, I remember saying it here that one of our many issues is finishing but panel of judges said we no too get creativity.

Watching Auba is an eyesore, for Bleep sake he doesn't have to start every match ohhhh Arteta. This was a Laca kind of game , ginger ginger .

How did Eleny even surface on Artetas mind?

A reasonable Coach should by now know that Partey need a defensive minded player. AMN have by far shown this in the absence of Xhaka. Which bring me to the kind of defensive midfielders we buy or even gather. If u want to buy a defensive midfielder buy an outright one not all these he can play there we have been gathering like pawpaw
Lol... Wetin me and oyindamola dey talk since this week ooo.
Person dey off form and he's still lazy on top against small team, how would such a player fare against big team??

As for elneny... Do you remember our 1-0 victory against man u last season. Yeah, elneny and partey was the midfielder two that day. So scamteta thought he can just bring him in to repeat it after benching him almost throughout this season. Funny coach grin

common getat where were you when I was asking if we are expected to win or not yesterday.
Una no gree talk after a show of shame you are now coming with "we were not expected to win" a united everybody dey knack like olosho for Ring road Ibadan.
If we had won you would have come telling us how Ben White and Gabriel won us the game.

Jodera come and see o
Lol.

My point is that we are expecting too much from these guys knowing how limited they are. After yesterday's game, I have settled to beating the lower teams only. I have said that Auba has been useless for some time now and no one seems to be challenging him. I cannot say we are unfortunate to have lost Xhaka because he has his own wahala. The fact is that our team is not as good as the Arsenal name portrays. The Arsenal that should be challenging for titles with Chelsea and co. This team can only compete for a top 6 unless something really phenomenal happens in January. We are for now in the same class with the likes of West Ham, Everton etc and not Chelsea, or even Man United as some of us still think.

True though, but you noticed he lost all aerial duels with Mctominay too. Then DDG has studied Auba clips for r2 that when he wanted to shoot that shot, DDG shifter three steps to his left before he made that save. A saner Auba woulf have taken the free space as DDG was already expecting that.

Lets be also real, those free balls Saka was seeing before he was closed down, volleys should have been his options instead of trying to cut and shoot.

He saw three and one volley for pass DDG na.
A Richalison, Ollie Watkins, ESR, would volley that ball.
I already know saka is not a good goalscorer, reason why I wasn't surprised. It just pain me say all those chance fell for saka sha. How I wish it was martinelli at least.

One thing I noticed is that, if it's 442 we wanna do, laca should partner auba and not odegaard. Attack was so dead and lightweight ystdy.

Just imagine only martinelli is the only one pushing attack while the rest where all soft

This your talk no make sense honestly. Team that Watford beat 4-1 and have been in horrible form is what you said we need investment and patience to win?? Which investment and patience dey to win Carrick for crying out loud?

I'm not even angry that we lost, cos it's their home. It's the parking of the bus and playing cowardly that's really paining everyone. If after a season, a coach still park bus against teams, you think that coach will take any club far??
In big games form goes out of the window. If you ever watch football you should know this. This same Man United almost beat Chelsea save for Chelsea's superior attack.

As for the coach I have already made my point.

But for big teams to win big games, they have to spend. Simple.

The Tavares experiment must end. The kid has caused enough damage with his style of play. That first goal came as a result of his poor pass to nobody, which Man utd transitioned and Ronaldo swept home. If we went into half time with the lead, no way Man utd would have came back.
Tavarez was my only disappointment as I no longer consider Aubameyang disappointing, but expected.
Against big team at least, we need Tierney. We can't be parking bus and still be carrying shaky Lb cos of his attacking input.

The biggest disappointment to me is Arteta. Him and that our anonymous striker called Auba . He made man u confident to snatch all 3 points.

Lol... Even the author of "attack win you games, defence wins you league" have one of the worst defence in the league??

La illah!!! cheesy
Please read that article again.

Defense wins you league- doesn't mean you should abandon attack. I have said this so many times but it seems you guys like vain repetitions.

Ferguson never had the worst defense in the league. He has always had the top three best defenses yearly and also some of the best and most valuable defenders that have ever graced England. He has also made sure his attack is among the best too.

Winning the league requires both. But when it comes to the actual two/three horse-race, it's the defense that matters more. There can be some variances but it's the fact.

As for Arsenal, we aren't going to win the league, we are rebuilding and it's the right thing to start the rebuilding from defense. The next phase is to strengthen the attack department. I believe that's the plan for next season.

Na when you dey look scores without critically watching match you'll be saying this. Chelsea that played them in and out and were profligate in front of goal is what you now said man u almost won cos they scored first.

Lol... Just lol.

So na form make us park bus against man u abi?
Are you trying to say the players we have available can't go toe to toe with man u? Are our players vastly inferior to man u players??

I don't want to delve into this defence/attack wins you league cos I've made my points clear before.

But you see that bolded, nobody is expecting arsenal to win league, but when your pattern and foundation is to park the bus, then I don't know the rebuilding you say we're doing.

I believe a team rebuilding should b
play their game, whether big or small matches (with at least little alterations). Of course they'll lose some, and sometimes they'll win most, then they'll be right to say they need investment to improve.
How can you be parking the bus and you now say we're rebuilding? Are the players we paraded ystdy that bad??

Just in that article it was said he had the 7th worst defence and won the league.

There was a season he conceded 44 goals and still won the league, putting it in perspective the 2019/2020 season we conceded 48 goals and ended at 8th y'all wanted to slaughter Luiz and Mustafi, Chelsea conceded more that season at 54 and finished 4th but y'all still hammered on a defence that played behind Xhaka and Guen. The culprit that season was midfield and attack but agenda must agenda.
My argument that season was if this team could concede 48 despite that abysmal midfield imagine playing behind a decent midfield and attack they would concede much less and with attack scoring more we will definitely be making top 4. But y'all just didn't like seeing Luiz and Mustafi. The defence we've spent almost 200M on how have they fared?

Exactly. Someone might not watch match, they will just look at highlight, look at stats then come up with conclusion.

Below is our first half stats ystdy against man u. Someone we think we went toe to toe with them looking at the stats, not knowing we played entire nonsense!!

2nd pix is the full time stats. Someone will think arsenal is the better team of the night but where just unfortunate to lose

That's to tell you why relying on only stats is false.

The match ended 1-1. An out of form Man United that lost to Watford should have been beating black and blue. The point is that they are gradually finding some form.

I'm not surprised as I have always opined attack is the biggest problem of this team since like 2 seasons ago.

Look at how we run in for counters they will isolate the man with the ball sluggishly running behind him. Till that one due to lack of options will trap the ball pass back to Tavares then back to Ramsdale. rinse-repeat
Did you also notice Tavares did that exact same backpass that caused a goal at Anfield?

Well, he's playing that wing all by himself and i expect more work be done on him if that's Arteta's plan. Since Sanchez and Ramsey departure, that's the last season our attack made sense, esp in the final third.

Lol.

If that Attack does at least send shudders down the spines of opposition Managers and defenders before meeting us, then its a useless attack. We should not be easily predictable in the final third and expect goals. Na why i dey miss Sanchez. Laca and Xhaka come close to gingering the grounds on which the team played that year and he added superb performance with the Gingering.

Xhaka dey try, but below par performance. Laca dey like a lil above average and barely gets breathing space to play his preferred role.

If we can't play our normal game against man u, I wonder how we want to even improve. Worst part is that man u started with fear, but we gave them confidence and you can't try that to a Ronaldo team

I wish we can sack this coach cos ystdy just proved the we're building nothing with this man.

Tierney and AMN included in that line up could have warned us a draw. I have said several times that Tavares' zeal, running up and down is masking his school boy style of play. He gets exposed against big boys. Tierney will be back same as Xhaka and we will compete again.
