Spy360:I remember during Emery's time when I said Xhaka might not be plying at the level we expect but given the options we had then I will pick him ahead of Guen, peeps wanted to destroy me |

kokanepyramid:Exactly jare. Same thing they are now saying about Aubameyang. As if we have better replacement. By the time he leaves for AFCON, and they realise we don't have striker they will be wishing he returns fast. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 9:35am On Dec 04, 2021 |
Spy360:Lol... I think you're mixing it both ways What I see is productivity, what stats tell me is activity. For example, pepe can take a lame shot at goal, what stats will tell you is that pepe have a shot on target (activity), but me I know that such a shot can never yield to goal on any normal circumstances (productivity). It's the reason why one needs to dey watch match and see wetin dey sup instead of just looking at livescores. It's also the big reason why I was against auba starting against man u even tho he was our joint top highest goalscorer going into the game. Stats will tell you I'm crazy for saying such(how can you bench your highest goalscorer and striker for that matter going into a big game), but football watchers will see the point I'm making. At the end of the day, auba was hauled off even tho we were looking for an equaliser(something that hasn't been done this season) and he was also the most criticised player after the match. |

Spy360:Lol... Spy spy, you don come again ![]() My point have always been clear here. While I want Xhaka sold and replaced due to his limitations and error proneness sometimes, I still know he's our best bet in that midfield alongside partey. I want an experienced player to take over not all these small small boys. Reason why I'm always talking about bissouma. Na me still talk for this season that we've had at least almost a good midfield domination with xhaka alongside partey this season(against Tottenham) and that he'll be needed back even tho I know I like lokonga. |

Spy360:Hope by then, you won't start saying Jo.dera was among those who wished auba should never start again for arsenal. After all, na only man u match I did say he should warm bench and I was clear about it. |

Spy360:So we are out of Europe just to settle for top 6 now? Why is it that we can't compete for top 4, or are you just deliberately setting the standard low?? |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Nobody: 10:13am On Dec 04, 2021 |
Spy360:When was the last time our target was to win the title?, we've been rebuilding since moving to the Emirate stadium. Even the twin towers didn't take that long to rebuild. Then top 4 was the target, now it's top 6 aren't you seeing the trend here? |

Spy360:Xhaka may not be loved by fans but he fits Arteta's style well. Funny he fits Emery too. Meaning if this Lab Experimentor Manager tweaks things, Na still Xhaka go fit in las las. I hope ESR gets his mojo back vs Everton though. Auba will still start that game. Lol Anyways, evrn if Xhaka comes back and flops, i think we got a better option for covering either of Tava/Tier if na overlap be the game play. |

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 11:54am On Dec 04, 2021 |
kokanepyramid:A rebuilding process begins with a new manager. If we change management now, na to start another process. Last season under Arteta we finished 8th. It's expected that he should improve on that by taking us back to at least EL. From there we can begin to talk of CL placements. I am not going overboard thinking we will be winning titles with this yamayama squad and manager. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Nobody: 11:56am On Dec 04, 2021 |
Spy360:That your first paragraph is not true, there are clubs that have fired and hired more frequently than we have and make top 4 and even win trophies, eg Real Madrid, Barca, Chelsea, etc Hiring a new manager shouldn't be why we should be rebuilding for over 2 decades. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 11:56am On Dec 04, 2021 |
Jodera:I am being realistic. Like I said, by the end of the last TW, our target was not to finish top 4. Please understand the meaning of target. My prayer is to even win the league but as far as targets are concerned, if one is going to be realistic then it's to finished at least 6th. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 11:59am On Dec 04, 2021 |
kokanepyramid:You dey talk like say you never been part of management before. Every new management begins a new process. Whether they eventually win a quadruple of titles or not. New management, new plan, new process. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Nobody: 12:09pm On Dec 04, 2021 |
Spy360:Doesn't mean you should kill what's on ground, That's why there's something called sustainable change. You don't change for the sake of changing else you'll run the business to the ground. You need to be strategic, There has to be a road map. The problem with us is there's no road map, Spy you know at some point I was one of the biggest supporters of Wenger during his rebuilding era until I realised Wenger was just looking for excuses hence I back tracked. What got us here was we will sell our players then replace them with rookies. We saw what we enjoyed when we had them Carzolar, Ozil and Sanchez kind of players. Sanchez left what did we replace him with, Ozil left we replaced him with Willock even Guen played 10 at some point, Cazorla left what did we get. Other clubs will replace like for like or even upgrade we will do the opposite reason we are rebuilding till eternity. |

Jodera:Scoreline, ball possession, shots on goal, shots on target, no of tackles, no of interceptions etc aren't activity my brother. They are records of productivity. What do you put on your CV? If you can't provide stats of your performances no employer will take you. At the bolded, isn't that question reasonable? Unless it's for tactical reasons, there is no justification benching your most prolific player. You see why I said you are looking at activity not productivity? ![]()

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Nobody: 12:28pm On Dec 04, 2021 |
Spy360:You see it's still same Wenger model of signing rookies prior to signing them Ozil and Sanchez that we are still using the only difference is Wenger was a better coach and had a way of grooming these guys to decent shape than the Emery and Arteta we currently parade. |

Arteta does have his fans gaan. Someone suggested maybe he needs the team overhauled and given half of Pep's budget again. ![]() Clips showing he's the one initiating a press before the boys do so proves the zombie theory. And that's where i recall many moments that David Luiz defied that and it helped alot. Imagine Foster passing to his RB and ESR the winger is sitting deep at the LCM position instead of where the FB is? See how Man Utd pressed us. They really stationed numbers up front to cut out passes from the box. It was flair that helped but it still made us lose the match. We should try put 4 forward when pressing. Afterall, we have a good defence. Las las the middle is sacrificed when we are defending from the front. This should help. I think all of them are too obedient to his position discipline. Opponents notice this and as i keep shouting, they'll plan to counter it. That doesn't mean the plan isnt good. It just isn't good enough to stop breakdown. Na dem sabi sha. |
