Budaatum always encourages me to take a 2nd look at the bible with new eyes and I do want to do that but I am still to traumatised by religion to trust myself to read it without being unduly critical. I know someday I will be able to sit down and read it the same way I read Aesop's tales without being unduly critical. I look forward to that day. May be you will come across me quoting Jesus like a follower. But I will make it clear I will never believe in things not in evidence and so far I haven't seen sufficient evidence for a god or a risen Jesus. If ever I come to have such evidence that confirms these things as true be sure I won't be silent.

Now here's my challenge to you. In your own quiet place, sit down and list out all the evidence you have for your beliefs and then weigh them with respect to what is undeniably real. If the evidence you have stacks up better than what we know then keep believing, if it doesn't then you should either search for more evidence or accept that what you believe is not true and some other explanation must be found.

One thing is we have more information than any generation before us so there are things that would have wowed people in the past that are common knowledge to us now. The evidence that would convince me would have to be greater than all we know now. Something like the word of knowledge you talk about would be a start but I am yet to have anybody demonstrate it.

Before I got know a little bit of truth about the word, I received words of knowledge from about 3 different individuals. I didn't go meet them.

Thankfully, I didn't make that the basis for my faith. Again thankfully because true faith should be based on the words of Christ which is rock.

You might them to expose your home address meanwhile it is about your partner or business that is being revealed to them you see you might not believe because you didn't get what you want, hence a little tip of how this things work should be helpful

I think we I mentioned a denomination that operates this gift in abundance (even though I'm agnostic about the denomination for some reasons)

Like I mentioned true faith and believe should be based on the words of Christ. If you want words of knowledge you could as well get them from traditional worshipers even though you could from Christians.

One good way is to empty your heart of what you've learnt or been thought. Look at how, where and why Jesus started and ended His teachings

You should tell him that this gift is very easy to be 'misplaced' or 'buried' (trying to look for a word that fits).

I met a brother who told me he had that gift but now gone due to sexual sin, drinking and mingling with people he shouldn't. The devil usually attack those who have that gifts sometimes through jealousy from others who operates in other gifts.
