I am befuddled by the environmental degradation in these riverine areas but they do NOT see that as any problem. Rather, they are MORE concerned about and see Igbos as their major problem. Like I have always said, they are the ones that would suffer the consequences of their idiocy in due course...like it or NOT!

When you decide to build roads with drainage and even build on drainage canals who do you blame?

Ikwerre man no gree leave land for right of way and drainage, they have sold everywhere, tiny roads and drainages in port harcourt because ikwerre men see wide roads and drainages as waste of space.

Even since Wike dared the great Igbo race Port Harcourt has been placed under a curse that can ONLY be removed if Wike issues a public apology and rename the city as Igweocha.

Say no to illegal refineries, AKA Kpo fire

Nigerian government and IOCs also contribute to environment degradation and gas flaring. So, the blame is not just on the local oil thieves.

Ok...
After now some he-goats will say One Nigeria!!!

Fixing the drainage problem is easier than the politics of dividing Nigeria, working out borders, then resources; then border wars ; then the politics of settlement, then rebuilding and recovering from the devastation of war; negotiating financial AID then the various emergent nations still having to deal with armed nomadic headers, Banditry, kidnapping, oil pollution, Warlords of resource territory; COVID; Sahellian Terrorism, creating international relations afresh i.e your ambassadors, home offices, airlines, flag designs, national anthems; education systems, university certificates, getting your medical doctors internationally recognized and none of this straightforward or cheap and if small wars don't arise due to local political bigwig infighting. Time-scale, 60 years conservatively pitching.

Just fix the drainage system, much easier. Listen to dem goats, they're smarter than you.

Other parts of Nigeria think this is Port Harcourt and environs problem and for that no action is being taken. There is hardly any child aged 10 and below that does not have respiratory problem in Port Harcourt. This is not to say that adults are not being affected. Of course our body has higher immunity but a time is coming when it will be overwhelmed. The breakdown will be catastrophic. Military men sent to PH to fight those sabotaging the environment got soaked with Petro-Dollars. They are the ones opening different illegal refineries presently in remote locations.
Nigerians help us. The effect us this will be like the devastating effects of COVID 19 in Euro and America if prompt action is not taking.

Rubbish
