Everyone knows that President Buhari approved the construction of the project and has severally been thanked in the various numerous speeches at the airport by Gov. Obiano himself and even Allen Onyema of airpeace amongst many others.

Everyone also knows that Federal agencies such as Aviation Minister Sirika and NCAA and the DG Capt Musa Nuhu directed the design and construction of the airport to meet international standards, and have also been thanked for their guidance in helping the project to succeed. Infact, Capt. Musa Nuhu even visited the airport during construction and said he was impressed that all his recommendations were carried out.

The financing of the airport was done entirely by the state government under Willie Obiano, that is why people are congratulating him for ensuring that the project was not abandoned.
